Nice work. I am sure you guys are top notch in your field and appreciate sharing the video. I am considering doing one at home and if I do I will video tape the process for all the DIY folks.
It's very informative, if you're paying attention: Step 1: be rich AF (enough money to have a 2nd home on an island only accessible by $120k flats boat) Step 2: hire a professional Step 3: enjoy your $25k putting green
Hi James, maintenance is minimal. Keep the debris off it using a blower and once or twice a year the green could require a light broom and a roll; depending on how much use it receives. The roller used can be a $100 plastic water filled roller. Also, you could have Ikes Turf look after it for you - or show you :) Contact us to find out more - thanks for watching!
Hey Cupillac, winters are not an issue. In fact, if there is no snow and the green is dry (meaning the sand in the green isn't wet and frozen) you can put and chip during the winter months, or during those winter thaws. No need to cover the turf or protect it, the products are engineered to withstand all environmental conditions. Thanks for watching! Be sure to check out our next video being post soon.
How do you care for it? Do you call in these guys everyday or do you buy special lawnmowers suited for it? Seems like a lot of work to maintain more than the initial build
@@SOLDOZER " Idiot" ...Bit harsh... Not once was the word artificial or fake used... The reason people watch this is because they want to know. The video went from gravel to almost ready to putt on so we are pretty much clueless of what happened in between.
Can you hit full approach shots into this green? Thought it might dent the base and hurt the syn turf? I’m looking to build full size synthetic green that I can hit 100 yd shots into. Will it work?? Thanks!
Hey Kyle, yes you can. The materials, the process and the system we use allows you to hit shots from any distance allowing the ball to react like it would on a real green. There is an 1inch profile of sand, plus an underlay that helps absorb the ball, there is no threat of harming the base. I have a new video coming out soon that will provide you with more visual evidence. If you need anything, contact me! jeff@ikesturf.com Thanks for watching - cheers!
Finally! A good use for my bulldozer! Been sitting in the garage all winter
The mini excavator too! Been waiting years to use that bad boy.

For a small amount of 10,000 dollars. You to can have a beautiful level change chipping/putting green! :)
“Create practice green at home” shoots 3 minute non informative video to follow 👎🏻
Agreed. the "how they did it" kinda got lost in the bling?

@@jnorriect My thoughts exactly.
Exactly, totally shit video
Best part of the video is between 0 and 20 seconds (the girl). :)
How did you cut the holes? We used different materials
Looks great! How about maintenance on it? Wouldn't the owner need certain equipment to keep it looking pristine?
James Howarth wondering as well in the winter?

What tool is he using for brooming the sand in?
Hey Daniel, it's a Sthil Yardboss with brushes.
“Cool feature to chip from” until you blade it into your car
Least informative video I have ever seen.
So it's not real grass?

How did the artificial grass just appear out of nowhere?
Is it real grass? They had sod I think.
Wow

Looks great, but its much larger than 1000 sq. ft.!
Wow you guys skipped a huge part of the how to...
More like an advertisement commercial not a DIY

Why do northerners call it "having a bbq" BBQ is what you eat. Grilling is the verb of how you do it.
Well that was totally uninformative. Thanks for nothing.
Not worth my time. Thanks, I learned NOTHING!
