I can tell you right now that this man is an actual superhero to his kids. Great work!
Thanks!!
I wish I had a golf course in my backyard
Your kids are gonna be so mad when they play a public course and realize dad set them up a PGA green in the back yard LOL! Great work, I'm jealous!
🤣🤣 Thanks!!
Best dad ever. One day you're kids are gonna be all grown up and it'll finally click how much effort this took and how much you did for them. Props
Thanks!!
Great family project and agree with many others, nominate this gentleman for "Super Dad"; confident the children will pay it forward to their own kids someday. Nicely done sir!
I appreciate it!!
Selfless man. What a great father.
The kids are gonna grow up being incredible putters! great video
I’m definitely having to practice harder to keep up with them!
Dad of the year. Thats some great work.
Thanks!
This is amazing!!!! Dad of the year award for life!!!! Looks so good!!
The ocd in this vid is next level! Sometimes I cut corners maintaining my little yard… you’re next level dude, love that you’re bringing the kids on the journey with ya. Would love to see some chip ins on that green and a photo when the grass grows around it!
Thanks!! I just got the seed in the ground around the putting green yesterday evening and we got a gentle rain overnight! Speaking of ocd, go see the video I just posted this morning of our bunker build…My ocd definitely took over again!! Thanks for following!!
@@UnderParAcres saw that one recently, you definitely deserve more views and followers with the amount of work and effort you’re putting into these videos. Keep it up mate, here for the journey ahead!
Thanks a bunch and will do!!
Sand is a godsend for grass, apparently! This is so incredible and inspiring! I got a little guy coming in a couple weeks and seeing great dad's gives me hope !
Thanks and congrats!!
That is bad ass. What a great project dad. This is something your kids will remember forever. That was a lot of work but well worth it.
Thanks!
"You just won the Masters!!!!," the golf TV interviewer exclaimed, "it was like you couldn't miss a putt out there today.... how did you get so good on the greens?"
"Well, my Dad, when I was a kid, put in this great putting green and as a family we would spend hours out there.... I guess it paid off. This green jacket belongs as much to my Dad as much as it belongs to me."
What an awesome Dad!
Haha- thanks! I’m not sure I would survive if he ever made it that far…I got real nervous just watching him in the Drive, Chip & Putt qualifiers! 🤣
Have no idea how much i love the fact you used a basketball to test the green.
only architects know this tip lol
Gotta improvise when you don’t have high tech equipment…🤣
P.S. As George Costanza would say- “You know I always wanted to pretend I was an architect”……..
The ball is really rolling good on that surface. Well done.
Thanks! I've been very pleased with how it rolls, even now that we are 18 months after the initial build!
Unbelievable - I love that the house build took as long as the green build. Priorities well in order mate. Impressive✊
After one year, I can only imagine with the guys dedication he looks at the green every day and says to himself "I shouldve sucked it up and built it twice the size" lol great work though, truly a masterpiece backyard green. Can't wait to see what youve got next.
🤣🤣. Not going to lie, I pretty regularly look at the green and visualize how I can expand it…Thanks for following!
What a nice Dad!
Came to the comments looking for- "In our next video we'll be installing a sandbox! Err... A bunker!" Seriously though, great job, hard work pays off!
Oh don't worry, we eventually built a bunker! You can find all the videos of the work on our channel.
This is so impressive-- amazing job. Your kids will never forget it!
Thanks!!
Tremendous amount of work involved. Hope it gets used a lot.
Just about every night...
What an absolute legend Pops! Well done!
Thanks!!
Unbelievable job and I am so impressed with the care you have to the littlest details. Very well done. Short game is everything in golf and I am gonna bet your kids will be the best putters in every level of golf they play.
Thanks! My oldest is already becoming an ace with the putter! I’m going to have to practice to keep up…
Wow your family really put in some serious effort!!! good shots at the end kids
Thanks!
I cannot imagine how hard this can be to build. Great job!!!
It would have been a lot easier if I had a front loader! Thanks for watching!
#respect your kids are blessed to have you as their daddy
Thank you!
Never realized how much work leveling it would be. Great video!
It’s the most tedious and important part of the job if you want the green to roll really good!
Little blondie makes a really good supervisor. 😊
🤣🤣
Man, what a dad!
Thanks!
And a big plus, your actual golf game gets better because of all the arm work you've been doing. Looks great.
The arm strength gained, countered out the back issues created...🤣🤣
This is next level, a lot of time and money went into this. Good job being a great dad. As far as a home putting green for an average person. Some concrete and turf will do 😂
I took a few short cuts on the first green I built at our old house and learned lessons the hard way…🤣. Thanks for watching!
Love It. Our projects and equipment always get bigger ❤
Absolutely! 🤣🤣
I clicked thinking I was going to watch just a few seconds, and Sir, once I noticed you Really did all of this with just a few machinery, I stayed until the very end! After this, you can slap Mike Tyson, and you'll knock him out! LOL
What a Very beautiful end result! You have a fan here!
Thanks a bunch! Glad to have you onboard!
Amazing set up. Beautiful piece of land and home. Literally my dream!!!! You’re living it! Thanks for the awesome video.
Thanks!!
this is so great! glad it showed up in my recommended! What a good dad!
Thank you!!
Great work! Way to go the extra mile, really shows in the results!
Thanks!!
I love how you say we to include your kids into it also, can tell how great of a Dad you are. Awesome project!
Thanks!
Thats a dad right there boys
As a golf Greenkeeper this really has me interested as I have built USGA golf greens so I wanted to see how you were going to do this and I also have a rough idea how much time and money went into this which is insane
If I had a front loader on my tractor it would have made moving crushed gravel a lot quicker and easier….Thanks for watching!!
Should have just put some sod down and bought a old green mower from a golf course.
Wow very impressive indeed. Just the fact that this father even knew what to do is astounding. I'm not interested in golf at all. However, I had to watch this all the way through and the whole time I was admiring NOT the expertise involved in constructing something like this, which was impactful in and of itself, ...... BUT rather the dedication and love of that father for his kids. Total respect man for Dad's like this. What a ton of work just so his children can play putt putt.
Thank you so much for this heart-warming video.
Thank you very much for this!!
You're a great dad. Would love to have this much space to make kiddos dreams come true. I bet you were so tired for like 5 months. With that being said, no way would I do this with gravel lol. I would be sand leveling, seeding, and reel mowing for true grass.
Thanks! I definitely want to build a real grass green at some point, I just don’t have the equipment or the time right now to maintain it. I did a full video on that where you can see all my reasoning for going synthetic as well as the cost. Thanks for watching!
This is like a whole movie production, great work
Thanks!
I just marked three holes out for at my lake house and this helped so much thank you and looks amazing
That is awesome, thanks a bunch!!
You are an underrated UA-camr your videos are really good
I really appreciate that, thank you!!
This is hard work man! Well done!
Thanks!
Pretty amazing job! Lucky family to have you.
Thanks!
So cool! Awesome work
Thanks!
Father of the year🎉
Lovely family!!
Thanks!
Very cool! 😊
F***ING LEGEND THIS MAN IS!!
I like to picture myself up there with the likes of Al Bundy, Homer Simpson, and Hank Hill…🤣🤣
@@UnderParAcresTed bundy ? 😅😂
Amazing professional level job!
Thanks!
Nice par 3 you made in your backyard
Love it! Hard work and attention to detail really paying off. And I enjoyed seeing the progress of the house in the background...😅
Thanks!
Good job dad. 👍🏾
Thanks!
Your living the dream
Yes Sir!
looks like a lot of fun. really cool for your kids.
I was hoping to see grass seed put down lol but still a great video
Go check out the below video I did on why I chose synthetic…I hope to build a real grass green one day in the future but need to get the equipment to maintain it first.

This is awesome! Great job dad!
Thanks!
The first DIY video worth watching. Awesome job!
Thanks!
Dogleg par 3? Love you did this for your kiddos!
🤣🤣 Thanks!
I loved the info in this video but idk why I bothered changing it to 1440p with the Vaseline on the lens of the camera lol
That kid has an excellent swing
Thanks!
Super project
Thanks!
Great job 👍🏻 If I did that my kids would probably decide they didn’t like golf anymore just as I’d finished
🤣🤣 Thanks!!
Wow that sand on top of the turf did wonders! Honestly having real grass would need too many man hours for maintenance
My exact thoughts! I’d love to have real grass but don’t have time for the maintenance. This rolls like a real green and requires no maintenance! Thanks for watching!!
Well done sir.
Thanks!
What a great job you did! Thanks for showing the entire job.
You’re welcome and thanks a bunch for watching!
Which turf did you get. I was looking at the site in the comments and they have a number of options.
@@philandersonwv I went with the TFD Birdie Putt Elite. I’ve been very pleased with it so far!
Outstanding work Buddy !!!!!
Thanks!!
Great work.
Thanks!
Great job. Beautiful property.
Thanks!
OMG I spent this whole video thinking this would be a live green.
Wow that's a lot of man hours. Good for you looks great!
Thanks!
Excellent!!!!!
nice piece of property
Superb and very jealous 👌 😍 great job
Thanks!
Amazing job - as good as it gets !!
Thank you!!
i wish i had that in my backyard
Really cool. I will do this one day.
It’s well worth it!
Wow! Great job man
Thanks!
Nice vid. The ball seems to run pretty pure
Thanks! We’ve been very pleased with the roll of the green so far!
This was a cool video. Thanks for posting.
Thanks!!
this is sick
very cool
Very cool to watch!
Thank you!
Awesome!!!👏
Thanks!!
Fantastic!
amazing, would love to have seen a center pin location.
Great job.
Thanks!
A local Par 3 course here in Buffalo NY had 9 artificial putting greens put in some years ago. They started out decent, but the freeze/thaw cycles over the winters just wrecked them.
I’m fortunate to not have to worry about long freezes!
My wife gave me the green light to make one of these! Love the video, very instructional. Anything you wish you would have done differently?
Also, could you hit long shots into and it receive them halfway decently or would you have needed to add something below the turf?
Either way this is awesome and my new guide for my own!
First piece of advise, start digging and building while you have the green light...🤣🤣 Seriously though, one of the minor things I would change is I would have gone with 6 inch cups instead of 4 inch, and used a higher quality cup. I'm already seeing some cracking in a few of the cups I bought for cheap. I can hit short chips, but from outside 20 yards it's nearly impossible to stop a ball on. If I had more budget room, I would have built a bigger green, used an underneath padding, and went with a higher quality tur with heavier face weight and longer fibers that require more infill. That would allow for better holding on longer shots. Good luck and reach out if you need any advice during the build! Thanks!
Bravo!!
Great to see the “kids” enjoyed their new Green 😂
It was definitely all for the kids….🤣🤣
very very goooooood!!!!⛳
Thanks!
Just wow
Thanks!
Good job.
You didn’t have to go level to the ground. I would of actually made it higher and somewhat uneven with some slopes and even a sand trap. In your next hole you can do this ;)
I do wish I have made it a little higher, but it does have some minor undulation and I did add a bunker as well. Thanks for watching!!
great Job! this is so cool. if you end up chipping at this thing, its gonna be hard to get it close to any of those flags since theres no center hole lol
You definitely don’t want to short side yourself on these pin locations!! 🤣
@@UnderParAcres lol no way! Gonna be great for the short game man. Well done
great video keep going w dad
Will do, thanks!!
Great job!
Thanks!!
The kids are so lucky! Fantastic job! May I ask what kind of turf did you use? Is it 7mm or 8mm artificial turf? I'm planning to have one for my garden, as well. Many thanks!
Thanks! I used the following turf...turffactorydirect.com/product/tfd-birdie-putt-elite/ I have been very pleased with it and two years later now it still rolls and feels brand new!
I’ve watched this video about 20 times as I plan and begin to build my own. Thanks for this! One quick question: do you ever have any issues with animals damaging your synthetic turf? I’m wondering how it stands up to deer and other animals if you don’t mind sharing. Thank you!
I get deer and other smaller wild animals on the green quite a bit and so far is has done no damage! I’ve had occasional coyote or fox droppings in the cups, but that’s about as bad as it has been…Thanks for following!
@@UnderParAcres how funny that they poop in the cups like a toilet! Thanks so much for the info. I’m going to move forward with the build.
