Thank you so much for this video, Casey! I just bought my TCP and the directions aren't great. This video is super helpful!
So glad to have helped!
Good review, Casey!
I'll probably never need another one, having already converted one of the original pots a year ago. But if for some reason I find I need another pot, I'll be sure to be looking at this one.
I know this may be a stupid question, but how do you let the air out? Do you just take the hose off after turning the handle, and when it's ready, turn the handle back the way it was?
Welcome back Casey! I have missed seeing you. Looking forward to seeing your videos again. Been spending a lot of time on Zac's channel. I've stabilized several of the burls I got from you, and have made composite burl and resin wine stoppers.
Thanks Eddie! I’ve missed making them. Awesome to hear about the burls! Glad you’re making some sweet things with them
Casey I have another question about your pressure pot. When you bolt it down do you shim it where you bolt in down? The one I got doesn't sit flush on the my bench.
How hard do you clamp the lid on?
I've been waiting for this since I saw your video about the prototype late last year.
Looks like I'm first to respond, and report that I just ordered one. Thanks for the update, was getting a little concerned that maybe they pulled the plug and decided not to bring it to production.
I’m glad too. Basically what I heard from them which makes sense is that covid really held up their whole supply chain. They were supposed to have them way earlier but at least they’re here now!
Problem with mine. Bought this exact unit. The safety valve kicks in long before 40 psi. Manual says you should no go above 3 bar (43psi) even though sticker says don’t go over 50 psi. Pot is at 36 PSI and safety plunger still venting.
Safety valves are adjustable. You just twist it to the right to lower the pressure it goes off at, or twist it to the left to go higher. (It could be vice versa, it’s been awhile since I adjusted mine)
What kind of air compressor do you use?
I use a California air tools compressor. I believe I have it on the tools I use page which is in the description. It’s quiet and I love it
