LOL 😂 “Don’t look at the John Deere!” Goes slow mo as he walks by. That’s great!!!
LOL you know JD's are like Harleys ! Thank You Kris
@@PohlBarnProductions yeah they are!!!
My word but you have been busy. I love the fact that you are into veggie gardens as well as wood-turning, amongst other things. Hope you will keep us up to date with the planting and growth of all your crops? Have a good week.
Thank You Jacquie, I am thinkin of starting a channel for that garden and my journey into homesteading, Behind the Barn, not sure I will have to see if I can get some help with filming it.
Thanks for that amazing tour of your land. It looks so beautiful and peaceful. You take as long as you need to make your next wood project. As for the garden, it's such a wonderful thing that both you and your wife are doing. 👍
Thank you Sandra, I will do my best to keep up with everything. until we have to start harvesting that is, lol
You’ve been busy! We’re current fixing our house in the Chicago suburbs to move to rural Indiana so I can expand my garden and Have chickens and goats to be more self sufficient. I grew up in rural Oregon, it’s time to get back to my roots 👍
that’s a big garden and the canning can be a lot but it’s so worth it ❤️. We find jars at places you wouldn’t expect to see them. Like menards, ace hardware and other less obvious places. It’s really the lids that have been a bear to find. Good luck to you, love your videos!
I hear you Maggi, I grew up in and around Detroit, don't miss it at all, Thanks again,
A clean, organized shop is the sure sign of a sick mind.
Wait I am confused, I have a sick mind and my shop is a mess !
1. Clean for two hours.
2. Spend twenty minutes turning.
3. Return to step 1
I love looking at big yards like that. Living in the city has its limits specially in the gardening department. Consider yourself very blessed to have so much room. Happy gardening to you! Have a wonderful week 😊
Thank You, I grew up in Detroit, I worked my backside off to get out here away from that rats nest, I have 12 acres to work with,
@@PohlBarnProductions that's awesome!
I realize you’re primarily a wood and resin project guy, but Doug just like showing us the video of your Ford restoration, I’d LOVE to see videos of your garden as it develops.
And obviously you plan to can your crops if you’re looking for jars, so I’d also love to see what you do with the things you end up growing.
I’m a gardener, too and do lots of canning.
Love the greenhouse ! Envious.
Have a great weekend!
Thank You Nancy, I might do another channel for that Journey in homesteading, behind the Barn ! but I am not sure yet
Beautiful, beautiful yard, Doug. Thanks for the tour. I hope you have a great growing season, and get a bumper crop of your favorites! Have a super week, and I’ll see you in the next video! Keep being Happy, Healthy and Hungry! 😉😂😂 🌲💚🌳 🤗Hugs to all! 👉🏼🧚✨🌹~Roma
Thank You Roma,
How nice to have a shop and garden tour Doug, thank you very much. It's always nice to know more about the ones you follow. Great, thank you. 👍
Thank You, You are Very welcome
Nice to se your barns and shop, chickens and dogs. And the greenhouse. 👍
Thank You Kristina
Staying busy is good. Looks like you and the Misses have a great garden. Thanks for the look.
Thank You John
😍 to your shop and garden. Pups are adorable 😊
TCP Global made the airbrush I bought. I had a problem that couldn't be fixed and they sent a new one. They're a California based company and I appreciate them and some awesome customer service!! I hope you enjoy the new pressure pot 👍
Good to know! Thank You maurine
I so miss having a big garden. Live in town now and have a little plater box. Enjoy your garden. 🙂
Thank You , I do not miss the city at all !
Mr. Pohl, I do declare, you are like a little boy in a candy shop!!
Thank You Thank You
You sir are a class act. If I was you and you was I. I would have my green house. Wife wants one badly but we live in the woods where the sun don't shine, but we try. Thank you for letting us get a momentary glimpse of real life.
Thank You Rick, cut down some trees for a clearing and then you have wood to turn on that monster lathe you have, and the wife gets her greenhouse ~!
Finally, a tour of the kingdom! LOL the howling dogs are beautiful! More puppies, too! You have been busy, and we don't begrudge your time away from turning. At least I don't!😊you have a good start on self sufficiency already, chickens and sled dogs. Looking forward to 1st creation out of new pressure pot. Keep safe Doug and family!🐓🐣🐕🍅❤
Thank You Kathi, we do have a good start on it and the white tail deer are like locust around here so we have a meat source also if need be, we also have wild turkey rabbits and many other small game things but I don't normally like to clean those.
@@PohlBarnProductions yeah I used to hate cleaning rabbits and squirrels, small birds too. Well, you won't go hungry! ❤
I am glad you are getting able to do larger projects in the pressure pot. I am going to need a bigger one myself. Thank you for sharing your video.
Thank You Mark, You are so welcome!
Welcome to spring! Planting time and cleanup time here too. Putting our coop up this week. One lame chicken and 4 ducks at the moment. Envious of your garden plot. 😁
Thank You Thank You
Beauty in everything u do!!! GOD BLESS U... HARD WORK & DEDICATION = RESULTS = HAPPINESS ...
Thank you so much Beata 😀
Seeing your green house reminds me to get my garden going. Been a working fool the last couple of months. Maybe Ill be able to get to it next weekend. Enjoyed as always.
Thank You Dave, I think we are going to start planting next week, soon as I get things plotted out
Nice new pot. Good luck with the gardening.
Thank You J"Lyssa
Dang you are busy Doug!! Great looking pressure pot, I think you're going to love the upgrade!!
Thank You Zac, yes busy I am, it should work out much better now that it doesn't leak down And I have more room to work with
Busy busy!..I know the feeling. Never enough time. Busy building lotsa bee equipment here now. You need a couple hives out there!.😃👍🏻👍🏻
Thank You Mike I do need some Hives but I am supper allergic to bee stings, I also need a suit to be around them. I swell up like a pumpkin from bee parts that splatter off the mirror on my truck.
@@PohlBarnProductions wow!..that's insane!..I haven't had a cold or been sick since I've been getting stung..but I never look forward to it!😃 walking back to my truck last week one was pissed and popped me in the cheek..guess she had enough of me🤣
@@PohlBarnProductions It's possible to de-sensitise from bee venom. If you have any one nearby who is a study of Apitheripy (the therapeutic use of bees and bee products) they may well be able to help. In a previous life, we held over 120 bee colonies ..and some were a little "sharp". It took me a little while, but I've been fine around their venom ever since. (But do keep an epi-pen about just in case!).
Love the channel! All the best, Td
Doug!
that tour of your property, you are a lucky blessed man!
nice toys and nice land
Thank You Luie, I busted my ass to get this property, did not enjoy the city of Detroit anymore.
@@PohlBarnProductions I'm sure you did bust your ass and still do👍😎
Hi Pohl, It makes perfect sense to grow your own veg and tried to be sustainable as possible.
I've now got my poly tunnel framework up but I've got to make a secure fence going all around the area of it will be 100 m long by about 30 m wide as I live in Rurel France I have wild deer and boar roaming through my property so if they come across my veggie patch it would be like a picnic outing for them and destroy the patch, stay safe keep up the good work,
Phil from the Moulin in France
deer and pig process nicely into bags then the freezer, we have white tail deer here where I live but no wild pigs,
Hi 👋 Pohl . I have just received my four Crown M 42 wood turning tools this afternoon and I've just spent a 3 hours on my lathe, I turned a Vase & Bowl but I am going to make a cover for it , tomorrow,
One of my friends has got a gun permit and three weeks ago he came in with a side of venison for me,
I've had a piece already it taste very nice,
Stay safe keep up the good work.
Phil from the Moulin in France
now you need to get the pea tunnel and squash trellis, and pole bean tripod in the garden and you will be set :) here it is impossible to get canning supplies. stores even have limits on them.
I have cattle panels I am going to use for those tunnels, peas beans and what ever else that needs to climb. well I keep collecting those as I find them I am just not being greedy about it, found 2 boxes of Pint jars today.
The greenhouse looks great 👍👍👍👍👍
Thank You Scott
Proof that I came over to watch it as promised ;) Love the puppers!!
Thank You Jeremy, now if only I wasn't so busy it took me six days to answer you
A lovely space that you have and cute dogs! Instructions are quite useful for lighting the fire too. :)
Thank You Jason, LOL
It's nice that TCP started making pots specifically for resin casting now, no more cutting that heavy steel rod out of the center of standard paint pots!
Totally agree
I got my 5 gallon pot a few weeks ago.... it is awesome! Great video, Doug!
Thank You Thank You Daniel
Don't worry about it Doug we all have things that pop up. We will still be here for your next video.
Thank You Michael
love the tour of your property! I live in Howell Mi. myself and wood love to move to Rose City. My brother has a vacation home up there and loves it. Love all of your videos bud, keep on keeping on.
Thank You Benny, I use to have a cabin up there in Rose City with the first wife, loved it up there too,
Hi Doug...thanks for sharing your un-boxing! Have a wonderful week. -Patty
Thank You Patty, you have a great weekend also
Makes me tired just watching you... Now I need a nap 😂 Always a thumbs up Brother👍
Sorry about that, Thank You Steve.
You've been a busy dude! It'll be good when you get everything set up and can work on projects again. 💜
Thank You Tracey, I hope so
Busy, busy, busy! You've a bunch going on. I enjoyed this video. Your pups are cute, my husky (I think they are huskies anyway) liked to dig holes and howl too. They don't know how to bark unless they learn from another dog, fun fact. lol
Hope your thumb is good and green for all the gardening you've got planned!
Yes they are! Thank You Joyce, my thumb is very green. I'm part of the medical flower program here in Michigan and have been growing that stuff for almost 10 years now, still have not used it. it makes me sick as a dog.
Looking great Doug beautiful eyes on the white one
Thank You Rich, I think so too!
Very nice green house lots of goodies can be grown 😉. ✌💨💨
Yes indeed, Thank You Larry
great video doug .glad to see the garden looking good .from doug
Thank You Doug
Awesome shop update Doug! Congrats on the new pressure pot, and all the exciting work you’ve got going on! That super exciting!
Two thumbs up buddy!
Btw, my pressure relief valve did the EXACT same thing yours did when I got the exact same pot as you. Quick adjustment took care of it though.
Thanks for sharing!
Thank You Seth, I fixed that leak no problem holds 70 ish nvldjsadof shhhhh psi no problem ! LOL
@@PohlBarnProductions That literally made me laugh out loud! 😂
Congratulations, my dear friend.
Thank you so much!
I feel you on the jars. There has been a drought of pint and half pints in my area for the last 5 years. Thankfully they dont break often so I have a few, but a lot more quarts end up being produced than I really want (and they end up being pretty wasteful.)
This is true, I just picked up 2 cases of Pints today and will go back tomorrow and get a couple more tomorrow, I still need to get up into the loft of my barn and see if there are any still stored away up there too
I thought I had a long honey-do list. Wow. Enjoyed the behind the scenes look.
Awesome! Thank you! you should see the list she has written down, fills a hole sheet of paper.
Nice upgrade! Those things you use to secure the lid, look sorta like Mickey Mouse ears, lol. Thanks Doug!
Thank You Texana, those are so much easier on my hand !
Those trees have to go. You should send the wood to a wood turner... Oh... Wait... :D I'm hoping there are some future projects there for you. Those dogs have some beautiful eyes.
Thank You Eric, those are still living but I do have standing dead wood that also have to go, choke cherry and a few box elders. those crazy blue eyes are really cool with the black eye liner
Awesome pot...... pressure pot, of course. I love ur property
Thank you Brad! you only seen a small part of it, I have 12 acres
Theses are great pressure pots, mines taken a beaten and still works fine, lol.
Thank you Jim
Your dogs are awesome pups
Thank You Peggy, we will keep everyone posted when the pups arrive, keep and eye out for those videos
That’s a beautiful garden spot. I love to garden. Fair warning. That horse manure will cause you to have lots of weeds unless you compost it.
Thank You Donald, I know all about the horse poo, I have to move that pile and the other one that was behind where the kennel is goin so it will get composted
@@PohlBarnProductions Great. I wasn’t trying to be a troll. I just know that I made that mistake a few years ago. I had thorns bushes in my garden. Did you know horses ate thorns. LOL.
Wow nice looking garden
Thank You Brian
Cool pot! Thanks for the shoutout, buddy!
Thank You Billy, Any time!
I have had the same pressure pot for a year or so and it works well. I made a wooden handle to assist in tightening the wing nuts four the lid. It’s easier on the hands.
Thank You Rick, I have printed handles from Kim Tippins father for my HP pot wing nuts
Congratulations on the update.
GooD)))))))
Thank You Meront,
Wouldn't mind getting a larger pot for some of the bigger pieces i want to do but we don't seem to have the same range here in Oz. And freight coupled with exchange rate would kill the cost of getting one from the states. Appreciated the short tour and hope you enjoy the results of your hard work in the garden. looking forward to next weeks project. Try planting some spaghetti Squash. Spring is the best time to plant them.
Thank You Bruce, all those squashes are seeds in hand, in another couple weeks they will be planted, we could still possibly get frost here.
@@PohlBarnProductions I was sceptical when the wife and kids tried to get me to eat one but the way Jodie cooked it up i cant get enough of them and have to wait till next season for fresh ones from the garden. Just finished a small jewellery box based on your 'Lighted Pine Cone Box" Very happy with the results.
not much I wont eat, raw tomatoes is about it and anything grape flavored, bet that box looks awesome too.
Nice job, Doug. One day at a time. See ya next week.
Thank You Ray, You bet!
I like the green house.. All of it.. Your videos are awesome..
Thank you so much Janis😊
Awesome green house!! I need one!!
Thank You Kim, get you one !
I have been watching the cross canal challenges between the wood turners and enjoy them. I have a suggestion for a Christmas challenge. At work we would draw names and buy a gift for the person who's name we picked. What if some of you got together and picked names and then sent a blank of your making to the person who's name you picked to turn for Christmas. Thank you for your time.
Great suggestion Phyllis, I was asked by Bruce at Jordan woodworx if I would join in on his challenge, I am not actually a part of the 12 guys doing this,
G'day Doug, that's what we do, half a dozen jobs on the go at the same time cobber. And yep im still here mate. All the best.
Hey Daryl, Welcome back, Thank You Thank You
Have A Nice Weekend Mr. Doug Don’t Work To Hard!!👍😁
Thank you Charity, you too!
Some day I hope to have a nice sized plot of land so I have somewhere to build a workshop.
I hope that long ago too Richard, Hard work and persistence paid off for me
I got one recently and i am real happy with it
good to hear Brian Thank You
first . oh wait ok first after all those other people lol . awesome pressure pot dougy . man i envy all the room you have . garden looks like its going to be awesome love the green house kinda surprised it dint have vents in the roof . maybe its small enough it dont need them . puppies are cute you must breed them huh . yep you got it going on dougy . dont worry about the video brother to be honest this was more fun then another bowl project . i love ya all but after about the fifth bowl video im bowled out lol . cant really even work in my shop yet . cause well i could blame it on david but really i just been lazy about it . lol . not sure what im going to do about it yet . not looking good for me to have enough room to move . and the place im at wont allow me to get another shed even though were owners . needless to say i see us moving again in the future . ok well this comment was pretty long . i know how you love the long comments . i dint see a video from billy posted but i may have missed it . ill take a look i know billy likes long comments to . ok buddy take care ill talk to ya later .
Thank You Dark, I posted a link for Billy's. you'll get if figured out sooner or later for a shop, I'll keep my comment short . lol
@@PohlBarnProductions lol yeah i followed your link over to billys . left him a nice comment . i think his was longer lol . then i blamed you for it . yeah my new shop is disappointing at the least . but your right i will figure it out at some point . thanks dougy .
Enjoy your new toy, Doug. I understand the time thing. I was getting tired just listening to you list everything you need to do. I saw Billy's video and his pot is a little different. Take care and don't overdo it.
Bill
Thank You William
You’ve been busy Doug. Take care
To busy if you ask me.
@@PohlBarnProductions you’ve got a lot on your plate that’s for sure .
Got the same type from Amazon a couple weeks ago, box came damaged also. Seems shipping carriers are getting worse, pot works great, but handle is bent some. I can deal with that after getting 2 HF pots and both would not hold pressure at all. Spring time brings about a lot of work outside, love it especially after the long winters in upstate NY
Thank You Peter, both my HF pots leak and do not hold the pressure I put into them but they worked, hopefully this one works much better
Boy have you been busy Doug. That green house sure looks nice. Well dont I know how it is. Just bought a house 6 months ago. Still got projects going on and craftsmen coming in. Building cost are ridiculous. Also got a new job thankfully with a lot of home office. But why dont you put all the building projects on your channel? Would love to see them. I wouldnt mind. Other youtubers do that as well. And who knows? You might inspire me for my projects with some of your ideas.Thank you anyway.
Thank You Stephanie, I was thinking about it but filming and editing take up a lot of time and I am only one person.
Suddenly I feel lazy compared to all you got going on. Garden is looking good and you have some pretty dogs. All that work and tour... I need to take a nap. LOL
Thank You Thank You
That's a whole lot of pot right there 🤣 right on a buddy of mine has one of those and he loves it makes my poor hf one look so tiny 😂
Thank You , It almost looks like the HP will fit inside this one
Hi Pohl , yes I think you're right it's going to take a long time years I reckon for the economy to recover from what had happened with the virus and of course as well people have lost loved ones and friends work colleagues because of it,
It looks like we are both lucky we've got some land that we can grow vegetables on believe it or not this is my first time doing this as I'm now living by myself in France as my partner I have split after 18 years of a relationship, I now think at my age approaching 70 I think I'd sooner be by myself than trying to start a relationship with another woman, I've got my wood turning tools and some of my machinery still so I keep myself busy with them and in the garden,
Keep up the good work, glad you're keeping well and stay safe.
Phil from the Moulin in France.
Thank you Philip, I am sorry to hear that, I am not sure what I would do without my wife of 17 years, but I am not quit as old as you are, I just hope I am wrong about the food thing and I just save money not having to buy any next year.
Nice tour ♥️
Thank you! 🤗
Damn man! That's a lot of ambition you have there. :)
Thank You Harold, Hope you are doing better Mr.
@@PohlBarnProductions I am much better, thank you for asking. You?
I'm good, nuclear test was great, they said see ya next year.
Good stuff Doug!! Your going to need a cool new Jordan Woodwerx sticker for your new pot??
Thank You Bruce, Hey I seen that sticker and it would be cool on my new pressure pot
@@PohlBarnProductions sweet, I’ll send it out on Monday, congrats on the pot upgrade! Kim’s sending me some tightening handles for my HB pot, bless her!
I've been wanting to get one ... so jealous!
Thank You Thank You
Nice place you have Doug I'll have to come see ya some time LOL Looks like you need to make a larger board ;)
Thank You Russell, I'm not sure what I'm gonna do about that
@@PohlBarnProductions Naa I was joking To far for my broke back ass to ride in a car lol You're welcome
I did not expect to have a comment on this video. But then you mentioned growing your potatoes in the hay. Do you have a video talking about that on your other channel? My parents grow them in milk crates, but they are always looking for ways to improve their gardening.
I think I talk a lil about it but I really don't know all that much as this is my first year gardening to feed our own faces, I have not taken down the potatoes yet but I suppose it will be soon as everything seems to be wrapping up in it's growing faze.
Nice pressure pot Doug. That pressure relief valve might have been damaged during shipping from the looks of the packaging
Thank You Skip, nah I just had to adjust it, it's all good now
@@PohlBarnProductions oh,ok Doug... that's good to hear.. can't wait to see the bigger projects
Hi, this is very spooky I've just been watching this and you've been doing the same thing that I've been doing erecting a poly tunnel , and I was starting to erect this this morning and then I finished it off tonight, and of course I think I told you a few weeks ago that I've got my pressure pot what's looks virtually identical apart from yours is already built as a pressure pot mine came as a paint pot and I converted it and it came with a stainless steel liner which is obviously very useful 40 L.
Keep up the good work looks like you're a little bit further ahead than me with the garden I think I have rain the next three or four days and likelihood of snow.
Stay safe,
Phil from the Moulin in France
Great minds think alike, really I am a bit worried about how things are going with the economy and I am sure it's also effecting everyone around the world, I am just making sure I have enough for a year for my house hold just in case I can't find food in the stores, I think we are out past the last frost for the year but might wait till the first week of June to plant.
Nice. Thumbs-up 👍 💯
Thanks for the visit
Reading instructions is always a help lol that's why women get it done right 😂😂😂😂😂 just kidding. And wow you have been busy! Love springtime.
Thank You Jane, LOL I am feeling being this busy all of a sudden, not as young as I use to be
@@PohlBarnProductions Isn't that the truth! We have been processing meat for freezer putting in an interlock switch and wire for the generator. The hubby works from home so gotta have power to run the computers and internet lol gotta keep him working so I can spend money on lathe tools lol

that I do Carol, Thanks for watching
Great pot for the price. I got mine for xmas
It really is! Thank You Justin
Your comment about girls reading instructions, reminded me of the first time I used a circular saw. My brother was telling me to do something which the instructions cautioned against. “You read too much!” 😉😳🤷♀️
That is awesome! LOL I was just making jokes

Do you have a propane BBQ?
If yes, take the grill and burner covers off and maybe you can use it to heat the branding iron up...
At least until you get more acetylene anyway...
I do, but I need oxygen, I just gotta get out and get it.
Good job.
Thank You Filippo
If you watch Moonshiners you'd know Mason Jars have been hard to find for awhile now So you're not alone on that LOL

The scariest thing about your channel is.............I'm starting to understand what you mean.
oh no I will try and learn a new language for you then, hopefully you do not understand it. lol Thanks for Watching
LOL, I had a TCP pressure pot two years ago and the label said "max 80 pounds" so I used 80 pounds and the third time I did I happen to look back at it, when I left the shop, and the top had buckled up between the hold downs . I got out fast. Next day it still had pressure, don't know why, ended sending it back to Amazon. Ended buying the expensive one.. I see they changed the pressure rating to fifty.
good deal. lol
Oh wow! Actually it still say up to 80 but 50 is recomended
