One thing that I would recommend is leaving the casters off, and bolting the pot to something stable, through the brackets where the casters attach. I did this with mine, and it greatly reduces the chance of spillage when I tighten the lid.

hi , thank you for this! does the compressed air tank ever need to be refilled with air overtime ? if so , where would you go to get it refilled? a gas station?
Hi and thanks for stopping by. The Air Tank is filled with the compressor motor when you plug it into the wall outlet.
Question for you. Once you pressurize the tank and start casting, can you depressurize and add more items? So pressurize, release and pressurize again?
Hi and thanks for stopping by. I would say it would be best to wait until the original item was complete or at least 24 hours if you can. We must consider what the Pressure is doing, pressing the resin to a certain point so it releases the air bubbles in it. I would recommend doing a test with some scrap castings to see the result on the clarity and if the bubbles are removed completely. I hope this helps.
It depends on the material, but typically, no you cannot. For one, the changes in atmospheric pressure can reintroduce air into the resin. Additionally, you have to keep in mind that the byproduct of pressure is heat. It is possible that the initial project that was in the pot had already begun to cure, and changing the pressure, temperature, and humidity, all may affect the resins ability to cure properly. It's kind of like baking a cake. Once the cake begins to harden on the top but is still liquid on the inside, then opening the oven door may result in the cake not rising properly. General rule of thumb is just to go ahead and set everything up, pour your castings, and put it all in the pot at one time. If you feel like you cannot do all of this on multiple projects within the working time, I would suggest finding a casting resin that has a little longer work time.
I just realized that intake valve (and release) can rotate, like you can change the orientation, now the question is it loose for some reason or is it by design?
Nothing should rotate on this unit except the "red" open and close handle to allow air to enter or escape from the unit. If you open the lid and look under it, you can see how each item on the lid are connected. If you have this unit and something is loose, make sure you tighten it prior to use.
There are two nuts at this pressure valve, one at the bottom and second one close to pressure regulator, are they going to get tightened in opposite direction? Thanks much in advance
