Just bought this pressure canner and rapidly I noticed some serious issues with the lid. Didn’t get to the right pressure, lost it, temp was not right , a lot of water (steam) going out while processing. Plus error code. So I called customer service in USA today and the lady was so amiable and told me that the model I bought have a replacement because of lid issues. She asked some details for sending me another one. I’m impressed with their quick response to fix the problem. Great customer service.
I love presto products. I rarely have a problem with them but once about a decade ago a had a coffee percolator start leaking and they replaced it. Great company, great customer service 👍
My regulator was leaking steam after it reached pressure, I called to inquire and the sent me a free new regulator, (waiting for it to arrive),however I just read that there's a recall/problem with the lid? I'm hoping that's not the issue
I've never had that issue. If you call and give them your serial number, they'll be able to tell you if it's part of a recall. I'm not aware of any details about it. Wish I could be of more help! :)
Do you have a review on this canner? Some Facebook groups state that this isn’t “approved” as safe since it hasn’t been tested? (Or something along those lines). can you explain why you trust and love it? I would much prefer this over a stovetop pressure canner!! Thanks!!
Yes, we do - foodprepguide.com/presto-digital-pressure-canner-review/ I trust it for 3 reasons: 1. It's Presto. They've been the leading name in pressure canning for decades, so they know what they're doing. (I don't trust the other brands that have "all in one" cooking pots that only have a pressure canning function.) 2. It has a fail-safe. If anything goes wrong with the internal sensors, the machine will throw an error message and not move forward. 3. Rose Red Homestead tested this canner with the same in-jar temperature measuring device that colleges use, and it showed that this Presto canner reached & maintained the proper temperature for even longer than what is bottom-line necessary. Hope that helps! :)
I was all set to buy one but in Canada they are $500 and there is zero warranty. The Nesco is only $250 and has a 1 year warranty so even though it is smaller it gives me more security.

That is excellent customer service!
What a great experience. I’m so glad you shared.
It was such a pleasant surprise! Good customer service is hard to come by these days.
Thank punches for the presentation! Great information!
Very good to know! I’ve used mine so much over the last year and a half.

Awesome! They got right on it!!
They did! 🙂
Mine similar but almost two years use. Very sad cord started to melt after this. I hope they can still help me?
They might! The cord melting doesn't seem normal to me. Do you still have your user manual that contains their Customer Service number?

That stinks! Glad you found a good alternative.
This is a rather expensive canner…so it’s good to know that they back up their product.
You mean to tell us that a company backed its own product and issued a replacement as it should?????
What a novel idea, right?! Should be common practice, but it is not these days....
Thanks bunches silly Siri
