PART 2: SET THE BAR.
I’m all for healthy eating but not at the expense of something that ain’t gonna taste good. Throughout my fitness career, I’ve had almost every type of protein bar and powder, and TBH I can tell you that I’ve never found one that I’d eat for fun.
Over the past year and and a half I’ve been working on a developing a protein bar inspired by cereal bars. I just wanted something CRUNCHY! And sweet but like, not too sweet! Supplement bars tend to have this thing where they overcompensate for the weird taste with more fake sugar and I simply CANNOT.
This was my first stab of creating a protein bar and honestly, I had a much smoother time with this development compared to the protein powders! I owe it all to the pea crisps and brown rice crisps bc they really gave my bar that Rice Krispies energy! I legit eat the Snickerdoodle bar for fun. Like not just post workout, but I legit just choose it over chips during that 3pm slump. Like WHAT IS THAT!? And I love chips!!!
Ok but taste aside the box itself deserves its own paragraph bc seriously. It’s a beaut. You see the stripes on the top of the box? Does it remind you of something? Maybe the awning of a sweet little bakery in a quaint neighborhood? It took a long time to get the packaging down. Every draft just felt so blah. So regular. Then I thought about what feeling or memory I wanted my packaging to evoke, and it struck me. My box needed to be a mini bakery. My box needed to emit food vibes! When I finally saw the sample of the gold awning on top of my little box, my heart felt complete.
So there you have it! My first ever protein bars! I can’t even believe it. Like the powders, they are plant based and gluten free! Right now they come in 2 flavors:
Snickerdoodle - my fave
Chocolate Peanut Butter - Sam approved
They’re available at Target in store and online! I hope you get to try it! Please tell me what you think. I’m always so nervous with food launches bc we all have such different taste buds! But I also wouldn’t ever release anything I don’t stand a million % behind, so YOU BETTER LOVE IT!!!

Not trying to be rude, but I remember her saying that she uses her face to give more representation for whichever race/ethnicity/whatever she’s apart of (idrk, not too familiar with that stuff)
I actually think in this case it might be the opposite. It's pretty hard to break in to industries like workoutout suppliments and have anyone buy your stuff. Her face being on it ensures at least her fans will buy. Not that the product isn't good but it's just not likely to magically jump into the suppliment industry with instant success. Her team likely knowing that is using her face to curb that difficulty with fame. The average person will likely be deterred like you said but also would probably not have even considered this unbranded product anyway. I say unbranded cause established brands give people a story to grab onto. If they went for a health food brand that would be very hard to get right. Fitness geared would be possibly even harder. This way they don't have to brand the product cause Cassie has been building an audience for like 15 years or something which is an established brand to use in place. It's also just fast fashion but extended into food now. The success isn't meant to be long lasting. Just new idea after new idea. Executed just OK enough with the highest probability for fast profit and then make a new one before the last one dies. It's no bash on Cassie for saying she may be doing this. It's just how it all works now. 😅 (sorry for talking way too much)

This! Also I wonder - are those health claims not somehow restricted by law? In the EU there is a list with evidence based claims for some products that are allowed but eveything else is not.
Agree that phrasing totally puts me off - if you have to do motivational branding would much rather it be about being strong, energised, nourished

12g of protein is absolutely nothing for that amount of calories. Premier protein (a shake that tastes like a treat) has 30g for the same amount of calories. Your body needs its amount in protein to effectively gain muscle mass. And “sculpt + debloat”?? What part of peanut butter is debloating or sculpting, I would prefer herbal supplements for that. And no food is sculpting. Working out is sculpting, and as most body builders would know - macros are important and that “protein bar” does not suffice. Food can be a treat, but why a protein supplement? Does everything need to taste delicious to be nutritious?
Ah thanks, someone with brain. :)

jk that’s actually exactly what I was thinking, like at that point just dust protein powder over cereal bars
I was thinking that a bit. Like peanut butter and chocolate aren’t really foods with little fats. I think though to sell food you need to make it taste good. But there are so many high protein fruits that taste good and sweet without being that sweet at all. Like strawberries. Or lemons.

Because that’s marketing in 2023. Don’t you know? You can’t give reasons on why your product is good, but you can give reasons to hate other brands 👌
@@__charlotte sad
@@Lalrinpuia95 ikr
Because there’d be no reason for her to make her products if the ones already out were perfect. She’s pointing out the industry flaws and how she fixed them.
@@alleniversonisabeast On a topic as subjective as taste. 🤷🤦
Yeah and it only had 12g of protein
Im so glad we have you!!!
Please can you make some savory protein bars for those of us who don't enjoy sweet flavors? PLEASE
Thank you so much, my dad is gluten intolerant and I’m trying to diet to lose weight and so is my mum thanks so much for making these inclusive to allergies, intolerances and preferences
they look super tasty! but naming it a sculpt and debloat bar is really off putting. it makes me think of nasty weight loss gimmick food and the name of something you eat shouldn’t remind you of bad things food can potentially do :/
I’m, sorry, I love her but 9$ for 4 bars? That doesn’t feel doable for my budget
Everything she makes is expensive. She wants $80 for a freaking sweatshirt
I don't think 9$ for 4 bars is that bad but 90$ FOR A SWEATSHIRT!?
@@Boudicaisback maybe work hard to get expensive stuffs
@@vxenui I do work hard I just think it is silly to spend almost $100 on a sweatshirt. It's called financial responsibility... clearly she makes clothes for people who can afford lavish lifestyle. For a normal person this is something you save up for as a treat for yourself
@@vxenuihahaha this is bs. You know who buys 90$ sweatshirts? Not someone who works hard for their money lol im an mba student and work in the public sector…needless to say i make a good enough living but wouldn’t spend 90$ on a sweat off the internet it’s just crazy…house, car, vacation, investments and savings sure. Not a 90$ sweat lol a pair of 200$ sneakers yes because its about what you use them for and how long they last but come on now this isn’t about having money issues it’s just financial logic
I'll definitely be keeping my eye out every time I go to Target! Hopefully, they have some in stock!!!
soo cute i have to try them and i love the packaging 🩷
Looks good but “sculpt and debloat”?? 🙄🙄 ugh can we eat healthy food just to eat?
A name isn't going to stop you from eating it...
Well it doesn’t just do that but it gives you protein.
@@veIvetcake it’s a bit of a scam imo, 12g of protein is really not that great for 160 calories.
@@morbidlyxobsessed Yeah not really a protein bar, it's just a granola bar lol
Stop complaining bro…
Fake marketing "sculpt and debloat" or is that a reference to gluten free? Where does the protein come from anyways? There's literally hundreds of protein bars on the market idk what's the point of creating another one. It's like the oversaturation of makeup when celebs decided to make their own makeup too.
She literally put no protein in it… totally bogus
I seriously love your work
Wow girly, you're amazing. Congratulations and Thank you!!
i LOVE that it’s vegan friendly! i love chalky protein bars but these looks so delicious for anytime i’d like a treat 🧍🏻♀️
Me too. I’m happy that it’s vegan (for the animals😍) although I’m too far away from the US to try them. 😅
the best protein bars i have ever had are robert irvines’s fit crunch bar. they are so good, and i beg my parents to buy them for me when we are at the store! def recommend
I know they are so good
Definitely going to try when I go to Target! Whenever I get protien bars I usually don’t enjoy the taste and I hate the texture.😅 I’m so excited to try yours!
Girl is there anything you CAN'T DO??
YOU'RE SOO TALENTED
4 bars for 9 dollars. Ummm no thanks
that’s the cost?… it’s a pass for me too!
Yup, if you look closely when she shows them on the shelfs, You'll see she sells them 8,99 DOLLARS! (Technically 9 bucks). 2 dollar bars are for me 😂
