What I find interesting is that every Brit I met in the U.S. and in the country side of England, didn't drink tea. Happy to see you're enjoying this adventure. I wonder if you feel differently about building a forever home in Portugal. Maybe the tiny off grid house is what fuels a life journey that allows you to travel and have more of these type of adventures. Thanks for taking us along.

I cant help but try to imagine how much that place would cost to rent when looking at the interior and location. I live in London, work as a (junior) doctor and so does my partner. Living in that area, or even staying for a month through airbnb, would still bankrupt us LOL. Then again, this shows whats possible when you are self-employed, hard working and have a vision.
