On another note 2 Sundays back we spent 3 days and 2 nights on the beach. The night from Saturday to Sunday was insane....we had the Gazelle in 25-30mph winds and it didn't budge at all 🤣
What we did experience was a super fine sand that got sifted through the screens 🤣
We slept in the car but Gazelle stood like a freakin champ 🏆
Your comment means a lot to me. One day we will meet in person. ☺️ Three nights is perfect in my opinion. I’ve done 5 twice and it can be a challenge since the weather is unpredictable at times. Still, the Gazelle is the way to go so far lol.

I'm also always pulling out full size truck all time in my Nissmo Frontier... Rams, f150, GMC, for whatever reason is what I see getting stuck the most.
Heavy vehicles are vulnerable for sure.

There’s a little rub if I drive fast, brake hard, and then turn suddenly. Nothing with bumps (even big ones.) I have some fishing trip videos and family events and then I will see when I can go back and stay overnight.

Quick question Coastal GX... does Ray also air down his tires when he goes in? I'm curious because his tires may have be all terrain tread but his sidewall seems pretty standard size co pared to yours.
Good question; we had a whole conversation about that. No, he doesn’t deflate. He also has larger wheels compared to my 17’s. As you know, I’m a big advocate for low pressure.

I just found your you tube channel. Great content. You mention East Cut area, that you enter thru route 6 and travel about 45min. but how do you google map that area. I just subscribed to your channel. Thank again. I love your hat does it keep you cool, where did you get it.
Thank you for watching and subscribing! The entrance is Cameron County Beach Access 6. They charge $14 at the entrance. It’s where highway 100 ends on Padre Boulevard. My goofy hat was a gift lol. It keeps me cool and hides my disheveled hair! 😂

Hi there. Thanks for watching. Any vehicle can get stuck (including mine) but you will be fine as long as you use common sense tactics. Definitely don’t drive during bad weather and high tide. Weather is usually great during the summer as long as no tropical weather is in the forecast. You’re going to love it. 🎥

What is the difference between all wheel drive and permanent 4wd
Full time 4wd vehicles are more effective off-road since they can engage 4lo with more torque. The parts are generally more heavy duty. Most AWD vehicles are meant to be used in slippery on-road conditions for better traction, but they don’t possess the same robust attributes found in truck based 4wd type systems.

I see trash cans on your left as you are driving in if you park behind them will you miss high tide? I don't want to wake up and water under my SUV.
You should be fine, however, if there’s a storm or cold front, things can change dramatically. So always keep an eye on the weather. If it doesn’t feel good, then bail.
Why do people buy 2WD trucks in the first place?! And then take them on the beach?! Are they nuts?!
Probably because when the tide is low and the weather is perfect, the sand is hard packed and people get a sense of safety. The problem is that conditions can change very quickly so 4wd is much better. Thanks for watching and commenting. 🎥🎬

No. Only vehicles that are roadworthy and street legal. The shoreline is considered an extension of highway 100. No ATV’s either. Also, we can’t drive on the dunes.

@@shumardi1 it would’ve definitely helped, but if he tried to launch in 2wd with harsh throttle, he may have inadvertently dug in. Or even having your front wheels turned can cause resistance. Truth is I honestly don’t know and we didn’t discuss it. Lol
I just bought a 4x4 Ram with HT tires. I am getting mixed signals about it being suitable for the beach. Assuming I air down, what are your thoughts?
@@shumardi1 they may be saying that because it’s a longer wheelbase and it’s a heavy vehicle. It really depends on your driving technique. Yes, it’s been proven that airing down your tire psi can help. Braking harshly, launching quickly, driving from a dig with front wheels turned in soft sand can increase the chances of getting stuck. That’s in soft sand or very wet sand. Otherwise it’s very difficult to get stuck in hard packed sand. Maybe I should do a video on techniques 😃 and upload that.

@@xavierfernandez3356 the place where the people were stuck was at the East Cut. You enter through beach access 6 and then head north along the beach for about 27 miles until you reach the jetties. You can't go further than that. Be safe and thanks for watching.
