You know you're doing the right thing and and going in the right direction when haters are hating on you right when you post your video. Keep it up man!
Another method you can do, and I've learned this over the years to avoid "slivers" on one side or the other. Do an actual lay out for your flooring, same as you would for Hardie siding, to even out your cut sides. It may take extra time before starting but it does make for a better finish. Even though I have used this "sliver" method many times, and at times is unavoidable, but taking extra steps by measuring and lay out does help a lot. Great vid!!!!! 😉👍
Your videos are very helpful and done very well. You are a good teacher. You’ve helped me with a rather big first-time vinyl plank flooring project. Thank you.
When I laid down mine 24 yrs ago, I almost lost my mind with this issue. This was a time when few to none You Tube Videos like these. I never finished Thanks to traumatic events in life. I did about 1200 sq. ft., & quickly found out how much this Condo was out of line 😂. It's time for everything to come out & re-do new. Love my oscillating tool. TX for the tip about the glue.
Thank you so much for sharing with us your experience! Very few point out this issue, I just wanted to address it because it does happen. Thank you so much for the love and support! 👍🏽😊🙏🏽
That super glue is very helpful and it seems to work fine on its own. I have a newbie question. Is the activator always necessary? And when you spray it across a joined seam like you did, does it penetrate to where the glue is? Thank you.
@@FixThisHouse yeah. No. Nothing here mate. You do you. I will do me. We all enjoy whatever we enjoy and all is good. Even if I don’t like your vids, at least your giving homeowners ideas. Hopefully they look more into those ideas.
@@FixThisHouse I think people are missing the point of what you meant by don't caulk it, you're saying don't caulk the big ass gap, not don't caulk or silicone at all.
Not caulking is a really silly tip. Any water spill will go behind the trim and flooring causing way more issues. A nice accurate caulk strip is a much easier and a more useful activity rather than cutting these tiny strips of the laminate.
It's his video, he can take how long he wants. Some need longer to understand and copy what is being said/done. Go play with your grandkids or something.

Same! He deserves the kudos. He’s an awesome teacher and has helped me a lot. He makes all his videos doable for a non-pro like me.

Thank you sir for another very helpful video!
Thank you for watching my friend! Means a lot! 😊🙏🏽
Try as we may to avoid slivers when laying out, sometimes they're unavoidable. Perfect fix! 👍

Nice job. What’s the second method?
I don’t like most of your vids but still watch them. Great job on this one
Thank you for your love honesty and support my friend! What would you suggest so I can make one for you?

How about beading if it's the same colour as the base boards it will look great and cover anything
nice. thanks. how do you fix it after baseboard is already installed? previous home owner made gaps all over the basement baseboard edges
Thank you! Please stay tuned! I’ll make a video on this 👍🏽😊
@@FixThisHousedid you make a vid on this?

Caulking improves the hvac efficiency of the house
I agree! But if you have this huge gap, caulking will look very bad, add the strip and then caulk 👍🏽😊
@@FixThisHouse I think people are missing the point of what you meant by don't caulk it, you're saying don't caulk the big ass gap, not don't caulk or silicone at all.
I have experienced vertical caps betweenfloor and baseboard. This method does nothing for that -- older homes.

I agree! It all depends on where it’s located, bathroom definitely 👍🏽
Looks good....but it ain't my house and them ants be coming in from the gap
SILICONE CAULKING IT IS FAM
You do what he did then silicone to seal.
I would consider this a "hack" fix and it is completely avoidable, just the difference between the pros and the wannabees.
Interesting tip, but it could have been said in 1/4 of the time. Is this guy being paid by the word?
You can always change the playback speed on the video.
How rude. Not everyone is familiar with how to do these DIY projects. But you, evidently, are an expert.
