    Szechuan chillie prawns - lockdown edition1 day 1 -over dosed onSzechuan peppers , and was completely inedible . day 2. - less Szechuan peppers grilled prawns till golden, added dried birds eye chillies amd red peppers , and KAPOW.Marion , your are giving joy to my lockdown day !

    Really awesome recipe, quick and fantastic.. I added a teaspoon of homemade Chinese chill oil straight after adding the prawns and it was fab..

    I made this tonight. Similar to your chicken version which I also love. Got to use my new larger mortar and pestle which made it so much easier to grind the peppercorns. Really loved this combo!

    I love it how u kept repeating those ingredients and spices in different dishes. In the past I bought spices to cook a dish and the entire packet stay in the cupboard until they expire cause I didn't know what else to cook them with.

    I enjoy the short videos, but the longer informative videos are best for learning. I got my coconut sriracha sauce. It’s hot! Lol

    I just made this ... and it’s delicious!!!
    I substituted the Chinese wine for a Mexican ‘Chile ancho’ licour.... soooooo good . Next time I’ll mix this with noodles

    I love Szechuan Chinese food.
    You can use seafood beef pork or chicken so its pretty versatile.

    Like black and white peppercorns, I have a dedicated pepper mill for my Sichuan peppercorns. _I don't need to do that with my green peppercorns because they're soaking in Cognac._

    Cooking prawn, scallop or squid are the fastest & easiest way of Chinese cooking, I can't comment much on your style of prep work however I been observant of your correct kitchen tools used like wooden spatula & tongs used, it impressed me , cut down on the soya sauce, bit too much, 2 tablespoon just nice with a twist of lemon juice will turn your guests / family on. Nice

    I can substitute the Sichuan peppercorns with Andaliman peppercorns for this dish. Andaliman peppercorns are sort of peppercorns cultivated in Indonesia and eventually in China (They're called 刺花椒/cihuajiao). They're giving as numb as Sichuan peppercorns as well, but taste lemongrass-y. I have the article of this and put it down below.

      In certain amount it feels good n taste good. Add too much then it is disaster. I love sichuan pepper tho. U can buy sichuan pepper oil and add half tbs to ur asian stirfry

    Omgoodness, Marion! I was organizing my pantry today when I realized I had two of your bagged coconut milks in there without even realizing you were one and the same. So neat! I love the product in a bag, it stores so much nicer that the canned varieties. And the taste is great-nice job!

      Watch again and watch closely, what's the colour of the sauce she uses? Is it completely opaque or almost see-through? There you have your answer.
