    Also the kranzle can be mounted 3 feet higher than the water source and it will still be safe to use and you don’t have to purge the air our the way you did, according to the kranzle company they can run completely dry for 1 hour without any damage.

      Ive originally had it higher in my old van set up and I always heard the machine working extra hard. Which is why i prefer it lower, I dont want to do more frequent service 😂

    I agree with most of what you said (not hating) the consumer grade pressure washers are not good for gravity this is so true. However i use a pump with my Gas pressure washer as we have to detail in different situations, and LOVE it. I don't feel it to be a hard situation to be in to use a pump at all. This video is very good though for beginner information and Gravity fed if that's the route you must Go. Great work!!

      What pump are you using for your setup?

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  6 місяців тому

      A small powered pump. It will help for lower powered machines. Don't directly connect it to the pressure washer, have another feed going back to the tank so it doesn't overload your pressure washer

      If you know it has a self priming pump, then yes it should work 👍 Before buying anything test it out with a regular garden hose first. If it works then you can get all the fittings 🤙

  • @ArthurMSoto

    The pressure washer would only need primed on the initial first use of the gravity fed system, correct?

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  6 місяців тому +1

      That is correct! 👍 Only because the air is trapped within the hose. Best to play it safe the first time ✅

    If you have access to the building water source as well, can you use a 'T' connector so the tank is the back up in case of lags during use ? I want to purchase a 9.2 GPM unit but building supply is no where near that so the tank would take up the slack if there is a lull and hopefully prolong the use of the pump as well as give a consistent flow rate. I want to use my system for sewer jetting as well as concrete power washing. P.S. GREAT close-up detailed tutorial by the way. One of the best ones on UA-cam I've seen.

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  Місяць тому +1

      I am not too sure about using that T connector for machines at that high GPM rating 🤔 I would suggest reaching out to other folk who specialize in those fields for additional information.
      For detailing just a single tube is more than enough as typical pressure washers for detailers never exceeded three GPM 😌 Thank you for the feedback! 🙌

    Is there a certain hose distance you recommend from the tank to the pressure washer? Looks like you have about half a foot

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  3 місяці тому +2

      Nope! As long as it has a proper connection and the water can flow freely to the machine, it will be perfectly fine 👍
      I once had my tank on the van but my machine was on the sidewalk. I used a 25ft garden hose, connected it to the machine, and worked! The principal remains the same as long as the machine is at a lower or equal height as the tank.

  • @jakebowlan310
    @jakebowlan310 5 місяців тому

    I have a question. After you first prime the Kranzle can you leave the water flowing through the machine even when it’s off. Or should you always close both valves and release all the pressure and water out of the machine before using it again?

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  5 місяців тому +1

      You can leave it flowing with water, there is no problem there 😎 However, I would suggest just releasing the pressure on the gun. You don't need to empty it completely, just a quick press on your gun and it will release all the pressure ✅

    • @CardosCarDose

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  5 місяців тому

      I am not too entirely sure, and that has happened to me on several machines. What I do before starting a job is to release the pressure, shooting water back into the tank and keep cycling it until the air is released.
      You can also check if the hose is too high up, as air naturally goes in that direction

    • @ArthurMSoto
      @ArthurMSoto 5 місяців тому

      @@CardosCarDose I release the pressure and it goes away usually, but sometimes the pressure washer will even just stop working and i moved it around and it started again. Still testing the kinks but it’s a struggle lmao

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  5 місяців тому

      @ArthurMSoto You do have to keep in mind that the Active PW is a consumer grade product and was not designed to draw water from a tank. Yes, many detailers have shown it working, but you should expect some technical difficulties since the pump is having to work 2 to 3 times harder to draw and push water consistently.
      I had a similar machine that worked fine for for a couple of jobs, but I noticed it was hiccuping a lot with pressure drops, stuttering, and sometimes just not working. 🧐 I have no way of confirming if an active machine has long-term issues with its designed motor, so all I can really say is to keep an eye out for it

    • @ArthurMSoto
      @ArthurMSoto 5 місяців тому

      @@CardosCarDose that’s a fair point! My expectations aren’t crazy high i just want a working setup to abuse for a little until i get into a van with a better design 😂

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  5 місяців тому +1

      @ArthurMSoto Completely understandable and I would definitely advise to work with what you have. Yeah, it's not as rigid and reliable as a Kranzle, but what matters is that your current machine jumpstarts with what you have 👍 Once you grow more, can you then make the decision to upgrade 💯

    • @CardosCarDose
      @CardosCarDose  3 місяці тому

      There are some trouble shooting methods to try out if your having problems 🤔
      1. Place machine lower than the tank outlet port.
      2. Avoid using wide low profile tanks as there is not enough water weight for gravity feeding
      3. if nothing works, you may need an external pump
      Hopefully this helps somehow 🙏

      Not "pump" as in the motor that is outputting the pressure, there is another part in the machine that draws the water from the source. Detailers just call it pump for the sake of simplicity.
