Awesome, I had a similar boat last summer. Don't forget to clean the bike twice or more after the sail🙈 saltwater eats everything dead or alive😉

Great episode Niels - I can empathise about the sea sickness its horrible.
I worked for 2 years in Cairo in the 1980's and it was the same then - "gimme, gimme, gimme" but the Egyptian people were very friendly and helpful.
I am so looking forward to your adventures in Africa.
Keep up the good work and stay safe.

Great episode. Presumably this was before the Evergreen container ship blocked the Suez Canal or after?
Agreed a great once in a lifetime opportunity crossing the Med and then sailing down the Suez Canal. You're living the dream.
Don't go anywhere near Yemen or Somalia though. They like kidnapping foreign tourists.
Looking forward to your next instalment.

When I was in Hurghada in 1989, you couldn’t film in the docks area, one of the German divers was jailed for taking a picture there

If or when you are in Victoria BC Canada you can stay with me if you like. I have a spare room in beautiful Victoria if you would like. I had dutch parents, born and raised in South Africa and immigrated to Canada after my parents died in Africa

Imagine how much CO2 that cargo ships emit to the atmosphere.
