I had forgotten about Access Virus, its very eye and ear opening to hear that it still sounds very top level compared to everything. I finally have a little money to buy some hardware for the first time since 1977 and thinking about a small modular case full of insane shit, but I should consider getting a used Virus too, thanks for the idea.

You should indeed! it`s also so much more than just synth brother. It`s a interface, effect processor, vocoder and so forth.
the TI may be out of production, but it's sound never dies.
