Mr.McManus, not only an incredibly good guitarist, but also a gentleman, capable of lots of credits from Segovia to Johnson. Thank you for your music and your style.
The tune itself is called Kishors Tune written by Soig Sibéril and there's a great Irish traditional version on here by Dezi Donnelly and Guidewires (Kishors Jig), Tony himself does an amazing version on here also with a sitar effect (search Kishors Tune). Hope this helps.
Does anyone know the name of the tune he starts playing around the 6 minute mark? Or the names of the musicians he mentions who arranged it? I'd love to hunt it down.
what's the name of the first piece he plays in the intro. I heard patrick Watson doing that song before and I always was drawn to the haunting eastern sound. Anyone know what scale that is? Locrian?
@@huynhngocnamgiang Really? Can you tell me where in my contract that is stated? Why don't you stick to commenting on matters you might know something about?
Paul must be paying him very well because there is just no way these guitars are even in the same stratosphere as the greenfields let alone the same league...
Tony *does* have a Greenfield. Thing about Greenfields is that you don't get one unless you personally know Michael Greenfield and/or have lots of money. $15k+ is a steep price even for many pro players. Besides, your own signature model is something you can definitely be proud of.
Despite all the above we all know that the Greenfield is miles and miles better than this PRS model in any aspect. Despite that the PRS still isn't that bad.

Ahhh....The great Tony McManus. It doesn't get any better than this.

Tony McManus is my favorite guitar player. Certainly a true guitar role model.
He is certainly great, I also love John Doyle. have they ever done any thing together?
McManus is the man. Great interview too, Mitch!
He talks too much
He just likes t talk
We just want music
Very well done!
Part of his intro reminds me of Far Horizons by Jeremy Soule.
Hmm... Interesting connection. I listen to the Skyrim soundtrack, almost every day. Far Horizons is my favorite, from the whole set.

It's the Gnossienne No. 1 by Erik Satie. It's on Tony's "Mysterious Boundries" recording.
PRS are good guitars , wish he would have stayed with Greenfield guitars, my favorite guitars along with Olson Guitars .
It's not an either/ or. I have 2 Greenfields and a bunch of PRSs. I play them all. This was PRS event.

you'll give a real good deal to tony if your luthier needing an endorser--- works both ways
I have two Greenfields. they are very specific tools......the PRS is capable of doing anything I need one guitar to do- brilliantly.
