Good News ! However I thought the 2933 class L2D was in way better shape? Surprised they did not pick this locomotive.
The 2933 is over a decade older, has a fabricated frame and zero roller bearings. Newer, a cast steel engine bed and all roller bearing axles is much preferred. The 3001 has much better mechanical features than the 2933.
Yes 3001 is the excursion star and Also NKP 765 the the excursion Star of the New York Central .
Railfans will be flocking around the world to see 3001 operate!
We have 2 New York Central excursion Stars yes there's NYC 3001 and NKP 765.
@@maxwellwalcher6420 nickel plate road and the new york central are 2 completely different railroads.
I thought they were all scrapped! This is better than a new top of the line train set for Christmas. Too bad no Niagaras survived.
