I m a beginner in Islamic illumination. .. I am learning it by UA-cam videos. ..and your videos are soo helpful. ... and want more videos about this art ... because you teaches so nicely and clearly. .... I m your new student here !!!♥♥
Can I just say - excellent brush-hold! I came here looking for brushes but also was inspired by a way to improve consistency in brush pressure. Thanks for the video.
I love the Kuretaki Zig Menso brushes. Although they are a larger diameter brush, the points are extremely fine and I can make consistently fine lines with them. Or, by applying slight pressure variations, I can get beautiful variations in the line weight. All the Menso brushes are made of natural hairs and they hold a lot of paint or ink. The Menso brush line includes a Kolinsky sable brush which works very well, but I usually use the combo horse and goat hair brushes.

Can we use a pen instead of ink and brush?
Using pen might be quicker, but it's not the traditional way
