Thx so much for this tutorial. One question that I have since I'm new to working with shell gold is, it seems that my shell gold is quite transparent. Is this normal? Or am I supposed to layer it?
You are very welcome. Maybe you are not mixing enough gold? If it's transparent then apply more. If you don't have enough gold your work won't shine and that will be a problem. Best of luck!

Can we do the same process using imitation gold leaf or imitation silver leaf?
Thank you for your question and sorry for the late response. I haven't tried it on any imitation leaves. It may be best to ask the manufacturer or the shop. Do share your findings though. It will be interesting to find out!
