As a user of the original Bose sleep buds, I was thrilled when the Ozlo folks came on the scene. Being the risk averse guy that I am, I just couldn't bring myself to lay out the $$$ for a product that may potentially not deliver. So I waited and waited for the Ozlo's to come out of Indiegogo purgatory. In the meantime, I was watching with great interest the Soundcore A20 development progress and the minute thy became available in wide production I ordered a pair. I received them yesterday, played with them all afternoon, slept with them last night, and I am VERY impressed. Intuitively easy to use and flawless performance (still had 50% battery after running all night). Great app, lots of options. Oh, and a price point more than $100 USD less than the Ozlo's. Add to this the fact that Ozlo appears to be a single product company, not incredibly capitalized vs Soundcore (an Anker brand) that has a wide array of products and is well capitalized and I would be concerned with the Ozlo's future customer support and viability as a company. I love these new A20's. We'll see how they hold up.
I agree with you 100%. The only issues I had was adjusting the volume of the Masking sounds. I finally figured it out. 2 nights and flawless operation. Can't ask for more than that.
@@SidsTips It's funny, the original Bose (rounded were great, no pain. It just didn't work). The 2nd gen Bose constantly gave me ear pain. Not the case with the A20. I really hope these continue to work.
I bought the A20s a couple months back as my first "sleepbuds" not even realizing they were a newly released product. Very pleased with them overall, very comfortable even when laying on my side, though the sound isolating could be better. Battery life is good, sound quality is good, customization is good. The app is not the best and the sleep tracking isn't super reliable, but for the basic functions of them, they work great!
I agree with you. The comfort of the A20 is superior to the Bose and I assume the Ozlo buds. I can only change the entire wing unit in the Bose, whereas I can change the wing tip to one size and the ear tip to a different size. This customization with the A20 allows a more specific fitting and a much more comfortable experience for a side sleeper. Also, as an aside, after 7.5 hours of sleep, I still had 50% battery life left. With the Bose, my left right ear bud would have been drained and the left earbud would be at 28%. The A20 has proven to be vastly superior to the Bose and by extension, since the Ozlo looks the same in size and dimensions, the Ozlo also. As for the charging cases, function.over form for me.
Thanks a lot for the video. I currently own the Bose Sleep Buds II and the Anker Soundcore A10s. I switched from Bose to Anker as I really wanted to be able to play my own sounds, and they are good for that. However, I find the A10s have a lot of connectivity issues, don't always initiate the sleep mode sound, and aren't as comfortable for me as a side sleeper. I still use the Bose as a backup, and they definitely feel more comfortable to switch to. I'm still leaning towards the A20s, as I've heard they have fixed the connectivity issues, and are more comfortable for side sleepers than the A10s. I'm just wondering if you have any experience with the A10s, and how they compare to the A20s? Cheers.
I find that I can't sleep on the side with the A10's in, I guess that wont be better with the Ozlo's. But I usually just use one and switch it to the other ear, and honestly the A10s are plenty comfortable even in the wrong ear, if you're not laying on it.
I have ozlos and I am a side sleeper. These fit quite comfortably, just like Bose, although the "fin" presses against the ear and that can feel a little painful after a few hours. The downside is that the software is quirky and the quality feels like a lottery. It is problematic enough that I purchased A20s today. I hope Ozlo can get their software to work well eventually, keeping my fingers crossed.
@@TomaszWiszkowskihow are you liking the A20s? I’m on the fence about getting them because my Ozlos have been troublesome and the only response I get from their support is to wait for the next firmware 🙃
@@paddyl.886I hear your pain... The good news is that the A20 hardware _just works_. I haven't had a single glitch with A20 and I've been using them almost every night since I got them. From good quality playback all the way to alarms and sleep quality - it's all there and it works. No static cracking, no sound balance issued, no charging issues, no pairing issues... They just work. The only downside is that their subpar built in mono sounds - which is not really a problem, because you can download any white sound app you want and stream over Bluetooth all night.
I have been using the Bose Sleep Buds since 2018. My Gen 2 just died and since they no longer are available, I went tried to get a pair of the Ozlo. They seem to be identical to the Bose (even the same team). But where can one buy a pair???

Mine are absolute junk, I wish I never would have wasted my money on them. Batteries drain on their own even when I keep them plugged in the right side won't charge. Half of the time they won't connect unless I fuck around with the Bluetooth settings then for some random reason they will decide to start working again. Completely unacceptable, and Ozlo so far has refused to honor the warranty.

They’re stereo earphones, it’s just some people are reporting the built-in masking sounds of the A20 as “mono” sounding, which to me doesn’t make any sense.

I think the problem with the 1st generation was the magnets falling off.

Hi. Which offers the best passive noise isolation?
Neither is a noise cancellation, but the Ozlo's I feel do feel mask noise better.
Which noise cancelling (with no sound ) is better ?
The Ozlo Sleepbuds I think will mask noise better: bit.ly/ozlobuds - Keep in mind that they are not noise cancelling. They are mask the noise.

Not noise cancelling, but noise masking
