10:35 I just love how Austria is buying guns from Bhutan for some reason. One of the small European countries famous for making roundabout reliable guns, is buying from a country which doesn't recognize half of the world to exist.
bhutans politics are mostly managed by india meaning that they only do negotiations with a small group of countries, and some idiot decided to say thats all that they recognise
This is one of those Hoi4 campaigns where you just can’t help but wonder what would someone from this world think about all this. Imagine being a Greek soldier, where after the king comes to power and a civil war breaks out, and the king’s side has the clear advantage. But for whatever reason just orders you to halt all movements until after a whole year of this “civil war” which didn’t have a single shot fired. And for the next few years the king just makes a bunch of seemingly random decisions where you have to wonder if he is actually mad. Guaranteeing the independence of Poland and going to war with Germany which Greece itself doesn’t stand to gain anything. Creating alliances and dragging countries into the war only to break these alliance and kicking them out of the faction. All the while the king keeps declaring war on random middle eastern countries that had nothing to do with the war. The worst of it is when you are fighting side by side with your French and British allies, forming close bonds, only to be ordered to retreat from the frontlines to go to Dieppe and ordered to die on the Beaches of southern England. In the process, your country is now at war with half of the world. After ALL that, it all somehow works out in the end, with Greece and becoming the largest empire on earth. And all this time the king was simply executing 5d chess moves your simple mind is incapable of even comprehending. I don’t know about anyone else but I would follow the orders of King George the second’s orders until my last breath.
18:18 lmao considering it’s a historical thing (Mussolini didn’t think Italy would be ready until 1941), this is weirdly accurate and inaccurate at the same time
Well if you are Roman, just let Greeks to conquer the world and after come to rule them to not fight between them. Like you made them a favor and claim their own civilization for your both with their language and people. And if all of these are not enough, made them to continue to fight in your name even 1000 years after your fall as eastern part of you.
Bit out of the blue, but watching you and your channel grow for the past 2-3 years has been amazing. I didn't really grasp that you have 240k subscribers already. Keep it going Bitter! :)
Alexander the great is Macedonian and Macedonian empire is Macedonian 🇲🇰 not Greek. U Greeks are Turks, Italians, Macedonians and arabs. Greeks have no Hellenic dna.
Last video, I kinda went all in on you regarding video's tone and all (Please accept my apologies, if it was perceived as abrupt, english is not my mother tongue). Right now, your video is watchable, enjoyable. Like the good ol' ones. Even if it is not specifically for me, I genuinely appreciate the changes. Good day to you.
Soooo much cheese, luckily I love cheese. But a little suggestion: I only see videos about how you can form the formable with massive cheese. How about a video about forming Macedonia the legit way with as much pain and the least cheese possible? Would be really nice and worth the suffering, I promise 😅
@Bitt3rSteel I love your content my man. BUUUT you did the Macedonian Empire going on the right side of the "King's Government" through the modern movement not the byzantine path. Love to see the monarchist path using the king. Take care and keep the videos flowing mr.!
I love these :D The biggest problem I have with most of the formable nations is that at the time you formed the nation it's already over... it has no pupose anymore... In ideal world you want to form it contiously so you can benefit from the cores and everything while you fight other nations... that's fun taking a smaller country as Greece and slowly build up so later in game you can compete with US, RUssia, Germany... It shoudn't be so easy as South America, though... I think Ottoman is quite good or Byzantium...
Funny, I did join your channel not long ago and thus am watching some of your old videos. I watched the Alexander the Great video from 3 years ago on last Wednesday :D
From the title i thought your formed alexanders empire in 1936, i clicked right away expecting order 66 cheese or something but nope this is mostly legit, very nice.
In my opinion, it's a lot easier to form the Macedonian Empire by being in the Axis. Taking the Balkans is easy at the beginning; the difficult part is to accumulate enough points, (Have troops around Yugoslavia so when axis declare war be fast enough to take the land), defeat the Allies, take Egypt, Kuwait, and then just conquer the Middle East. Finally, you can defeat the Soviets. You don't need to defeat the Axis because you don't need the Dodecanese Islands-or at least, it used to be that way.
I wish the macedonian empire had same setup as byzantine empire, since byzantine can core territories with decisions piece by piece, while macedonia can only core once ALL territories are controlled. Makes it harder to truely benefit from controlling those territories until you own them all
Your videos are like a comfort food to me as it is, but I'm kind of curious how you would work with the democratic paths, what objectives you'd set for yourself and how you'd go about achieving them. They're arguably more challenging, but I feel you've gone through the monarchist / fash paths to world conquest thrice over by now.
4:51 ah yes, George 2nd. Fun fact, his father (George 1st, born William) was brother to King Frederick VIII of Denmark, known as the Father-in-Law of Europe, due to being connected to as many european monarchs as Queen Victoria (crossing over relationswise in several places).
18:44 "There is no need to defend anything between Sedan and the Maginot, Belgian and French army have it covered and Germans don't attack here anyway" Charles Huntzinger to Maurice Gamelin may 1940
At 11:40 wouldn't it have been better to pick the spirit of academy you get from grand battleplan to get Brilliant Strategist or Inflexible Strategist generals? Though 20xp extra so idk but I think better generals may have been better? Also with that neat trick if you play as Hasburg poland and take Royal officer core for extra 2 levels on recluiting a new general plus the grand battleplan thing for getting brilliant strategist generals you can have level 3-4 generals with that trait. Btw sorry for bad english.
During the intro, you said you formed Macedonia by doing Byzantium previously. I may be wrong, but I don’t think it’s possible to form both. Didn’t you go down the other fascist path and form Macedonia that way?
In the past it was possible to create as many formables as you wanted if you controlled the required states. They since changed it so that you can only form one formable per playthrough. So nowadays if you create let's say the Nordic Empire as Sweden, you won't be able to create the Baltic Sea Republic anymore. In the past that was possible.
@@jep1st I know that, but bittersteel published his first Macedonian empire playthrough after the release of Battle for the Bosphorus, which made it so you could no longer form Byzantium unless you went down the Byzantium path.
