It's an interesting question, "what makes a good person?" there's to angles to see it from, subjective and objective, and both are important. It's important that you feel like you are acting in accordance with your ideals, that you are doing what you see as right, that you're being a "good" person to yourself. Subjective "good person" is easier to describe in my opinion. What is an objectively "good person" though, is a lot harder. In my mind, it comes down to: Do you create value? Do you avoid destroying value wherever possible? And by creating value, I don't mean money. I mean objective, intrinsic value. Do you make new things, novel things? Do you do things that are useful, meaningful, things that are hard to do or obtain? And then you have the question of intention. You can have good intentions yet not create anything of value. If you're bad at being a good person but still try, what does that mean? Is it the journey or the destination that matters? I think that both must be considered. Just trying isn't enough, but succeeding is not the end all be all either. Destroying value is much the same. Do you stagnate and waste time? Do you do things that make things worse for yourself and others? How to quantify the balance between how much value you create and destroy is also difficult. If you have a kid and raise them well but also kill a man, is that an equal trade of value? I would think not, but at the same time, I feel I'd respect someone who raised a kid well regardless of their other actions, but still want them to face justice. This kind of thing is surprisingly common, especially when the person you're judging is somehow removed from you, like people idolizing legendary leaders and significant men and women of history. You don't know that person, who knows what kinda messed up shit they did? But you can still respect them for what the accomplished, for the value they did create that was so significant it's been recorded in the annuls of history and spoken of for thousands of years. I don't have a good answer for how to draw a solid line; how to judge at what point someone becomes a good or bad person, In some ways I think weather somebody is good or bad depends on how that act in any given moment as well as how they intend to act in the future and less the record of what they've done previously. Though at the same time, everybody is responsible for the past, good or bad. In the end, I think that while I can't give a specific metric, I know the following: 1. What makes an objectively "good person" lies in the balance of what value they create and what value they destroy. 2. Even though I cannot give a metric, should I have all the information I'm confidant that more often than not, I could accurately judge if someone is a good person or not. I feel it's one of the things that people can gage if they pay attention, a "If you see it, you know" kind of thing. There's my brain dump inspired by yours. Thanks for the opportunity and impetus to get my thoughts out of my head, regardless of if people read them or not. Rest well, have a great weekend Ceros!
I dont eat pork because it gives me the same feeling as when you get hit in the nose and you feel like you need to sneeze but cant sneeze. Instead of sneezing, its gagging. So when I eat pork, I feel like I have to gag, but I cant gag...
I feel like being a good person isn’t about being good or bad, I think it’s down to the willingness to learn from past mistakes, taking accountability for ur own actions when it’s necessary mixed with a general sense of when you self reflect do you feel like what you are doing aligns with the person you are/who you want to be, is what you are doing aligning with your morals are you content with yourself/your behaviour and the consequences/out comes of said behaviour - because as human beings we all have the capacity to be toxic- it’s just some people are interested in learning how why can they be better etc
I always offend people by accident. I need to start doing it on purpose 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 im kind to the people i know and nice with strangers 🤷♀️ i honestly dont have the energy to be kind and warm and inviting 24/7.
For me not eating McDonald's is more about treating my body well. With fast food cravings lead to more cravings. I like the taste & initial feeling of fast food, but I know corporations are trying to destroy our bodies to make the rich richer.
But pork is so versatile. You can put pepperoni, sausage, and bacon on a pizza and it's all from the same critter. Pigs are both adorable and delicious. Almost feel bad I like eating them.
I eat so similar to you. Only chicken and or breakfast food mostly. And that sounds about right lol and the few fruits and yogurt and oatmeal. I’m dead lol
@ I showed you to my kids and they agree that you sound like me and some of them. That’s so funny, I keep saying you sound like the voice inside my head literally 24/7. It sounds like this in my head non stop. I have very similar beliefs to you and diet 🙌🏼🤣 all the way in Canada 🇨🇦 here 🖤
Hi, just came by to say something quick. Your videos in the background, I'm not paying attention to it cause I don't Wana be sad lmfao. I know people like this, always positive, good mood no matter what, etc. Thing is though... I've seen them outside of work too. Most of those mother fuckers are hanging on by a thread, held by a clumsy kitten. They can take alot to break, bit when they do? Well that's how we keep getting new dateline specials. Those are the most common. Something went wrong once and it forever changed that person. But then.. there are others. Masters of the mask.

Enlightened centrism just means you’re indifferent to the status quo regardless of any issues

Fuck if I know. If only there was a video to watch explaining that.
