Thank you very much for showing us the end results. So many people do not follow up or show that it actually works. However, It helps if you tell your viewer the soil composition you are using, so they have an idea what to use. Also, some people don't know that you have to put the cuttings into soil in the direction they were growing from the pot because if you turn them upside down after cutting them they won't root. Wow can't believe na pwede pala Yung leaf propagation sa snake plant... Nice idea thanks gonna do that to my snake plant para mas dumami keysa bili nang bili hehe
If you are a beginner with plants, watch a more specific video on how to do this. This video fails to explain that you MUST have the bottom edge of the cutting in the soil, not the top, and this can be hard to recognize if you don't mark the cutting when you first cut it. Also, the yellow-edged cutting will NOT produce a plant with yellow edges. If you want one with yellow edges, you have to break/cut a rhizome from the mother plant and plant it.
Great video. For beginners like myself - Be sure to keep track of the top and bottom of cuttings. Snake plants won’t grow if the wrong side is planted. Also, cover cuttings planted in dirt with plastic wrap (etc.) if you don’t live in a very humid climate or they’ll possibly dry up.
Not sure if anyone's mentioned it before but the reason why some of your plants didn't root (create roots) was because you may have accidentally put them in upside down. I realised you did this. I think it may be the difference between a successful planting and an unsuccessful planting.
Upside down meaning the right side up? I’m confused bc I thought the tip side was the upside? But I see others putting the upside into the soil, meaning the cut side of the upside of the plant... 😂 I might’ve confused myself and everyone else.
Very useful video. I have snake plants and I propagated by one large leaf. Never tried with small pieces. I will try next time. Thanks a lot for sharing such a nice video. 🙏
Nice video! I want to mention that the snake plants with the yellow stripes do not continue to grow with the yellow if you grow them from cuttings. They will just be fully green adult plants.
Great video. Just make sure when you cut them, the bottoms of the cuttings go into the dirt and or water for successful rooting. That's one reason why some weren't rooting. 😉
I'm hoping to get a snake plant soon so hopefully I will be too use this technique and have lots of beautiful plants. I'm just now starting my collection and this plant is at the top of my list to get. Great video.
The clipping that didn’t root, was due to being inserted in water or soil upside down, against the natural flow. Otherwise it should be 100% success rate. Don’t believe it? Go ack and recheck the video!
So to make sure you are inserting the correct way, would you recommend cutting and placing each piece one after the other, and the correct way meaning bottom in the dirt top up for each piece along the length of the leaf?
At first I never really know this, but when my snake plant had some cut offs I just plant them. So now I realize I made the right thing. Thanks for sharing.

Is it good to have some gravel mixed in so the soil doesn't pack it down? Heard that you need to have some gravel mixed into soil to give potting mix air/ room To Breathe
Now I know how to overdo these flowers. Thank you for the great video.Best wishes :)
Thank you Iwona, yes it's really possible to propagate snake plant through its leaf and stem cuttings. Both in soil and water.
Wow am amaze...how many times to water the plant in 32days?
The ones that didn’t root were because they were in upside down. Even a cutting from the middle of the leaf has to be right side up.
Hi James, thanks for sharing what you've noticed. yes, some of the plants were planted upside down which they didn't grow roots :)
That's really good to know! Is there a way to tell which way is right side up?
@@victoriacoraci1423 just make sure you watch when you cut them. Easiest to plant as you cut! 👍
That's right James, thanks for sharing :)

I didn't know i could grow a snake plant this way. Thanks for the info :)
Hi Gracia, yes you can do it at home but it takes a lot of patience. Goodluck :)
@@AdelaBespejo what do you do with the plant that you cut up????
?? Why didn't the 2nd batch in water .... grow roots ?????? Or was I not seeing it right ??
Hi Josephine, yes some of the leaf cuttings did not grow roots because they were placed upside down :)

Gracias por ver y apreciar el video Hersilia :)
Snake plants are really cool and good plants and don’t die easily
You are right, thanks for sharing your great thoughts :)
Agreed
They can die easily if you water it too much or if the environment is too humid.
Nice video! Just wondering how often you watered them 🤔 thank you 😊
Hello, the watering procedure is based on the climate in your area. But based on my experience, I water them only when the soil is dried up.
Wow thanks, ngl first I thought what a novice until I saw the results. Love this! 😍 I will let you know how mine turns out!
That's great! I appreciate you can share here the result. Thanks for appreciating the video :)
Wow! never knew you could do That!the ones in water do you out them in bright light?
Thank you, I only placed them in shaded area not to bright.

I tried by cutting the leaf🍃🍀 but the new plants which came out📤 are all green🌳 variety and no yellow sides, why?
Hi Sujit, yes they are all green in variety. In my research, many told me that if the propagation is through leaf cuttings, they produce pure green variety. But if the propagation is through division (with roots) they produce the same with yellow stripes.

En México, una maceta con esa planta tiene un costo de 70 pesos. Impresionante cuanto te puedes ahorrar
Thanks for additional information Alejander, these are beautiful plants :)

Hi, I will transfer the rooted ones into bigger and single pot so they can grow well.
Thank you this is very informative and interesting.. 😊 ill try this next time. 😊😊😊
Bahut bdhiya ji 🙏God bless you 🙏😊❤♥
Thank you so much :)
Nice video!! If u left the cuttings in the soil, would they continue to grow into a full plant with time?
Hi, Yes, they will grow but it is not big as it is because the soil is not enough for them to grow well.

Through there are some errors this is a good attempt
Also plant with yellow edges won't grow like that you will have to collect with property.
But this is still a nice video
Don't forget to keep experimenting different ways!
Keep the good work up!🪴🍀
Hi Hena, thanks for sharing your idea and thank you for still appreciating the video :)
The reason that some of the variegated cuttings didn't develop roots is that you might have placed those cuttings upside down.
Nature and Tales I was thinking the same thing. Several were placed upside down.

I really love that plant I want make sure when I buy again. will be successful. Thanks a lot.
Hi Lorna, these plants are very common in our place Philippines. We are not buying it, it is abundant in most areas here. What soil did you use in propagating snake plant? Also, did you place them in a shaded area?
Hello, very nice video. I have a question, how often should i change water while rooting in it? Thanks a lot!
Hi Tamara, thanks for asking a question. In this video, I changed the water every 3 days to prevent mosquitoes :)
@@AdelaBespejo I will try, thank you♥️

in water ..the leaves gets rotten and filled with water. Why my leaves doesn't propagate 🙄🙄🙄?
Hi Pallavi, there are several factors that may affect the propagation in water. The water may be too much
Water should be changed in every 3 days
