4 to 6 hrs is enough if temp is nmt 39 degree n 4 higher temp dip it for 2 to 3 hrs. Rather you soak dry peels of onion in water for overnight. Plant cuttings directly in soil and then mix 30 to 50 ml of onion water in a ltr of water and pour it directly to the soil. It's much better.

I try it many times,but not succeed,the leaves get rotten.
I could do with some timelines in there as to how long the leaves were left in the soil and as someone else says, how often it should be watered.

I kept mine in water til I saw roots form. Other videos have much better info on it. I didn't use onion, just plain water.

La sumerge en agua al echar raices la siembra en tierra abonada.
