I've been eyeing The Third Love for quite some time but was unsure whether or not I should pick it up because of the mixed reviews. But you've convinced me to pick it up
you have impeccable taste-love these recommendations ! that said, I believe you’d enjoy the works of Deborah Levy. her writing blends introspection and layered storytelling, with a focus on identity and the complexities of modern life. if you haven’t already, I’d highly recommend starting with The Cost of Living or Things I Don’t Want to Know. I think you’d really resonate with her themes and narrative style
thank you so much for your lovely comment and recommendations! I've been meaning to read more Deborah Levy, I recently read Things I Don't Want to Know and found her themes around finding home and women writers fascinating, and now I want to read the rest of the series
I would love a monthly book club. I have read Elena Ferrante's, The Days of Abandonment and The Lost Daughter, both amazing. Also, Jhumpa Lahiri's first set of short stories, Interpreter of Maladies and her book The Namesake, both stunning. Have you read any Nicole Krauss? I don't tend to see booktubers talking about her but her books are incredible; novels told through multiple narrators that arc together in a satisfying way. Great House and The History of Love are my favourites. Would definitely recommend.
thank you for your lovely comment and all your great recs! I haven't read any Nicole Krauss but her books sound fascinating and I'm very intrigued about the multiple narrators. I also cannot wait to read the Jhumpa Lahiri and Elena Ferrante books too, maybe one can be a first book club pic :)
