I'd just started this on Game Pass, and had been fascinated but confused, and was looking for reviews to hint at what I might be in for: turns out I hadn't hit the hook of playing as both mother and daughter yet! Fantastic review, I will definitely be continuing NORCO.
Hit this after being quite amazed by Disco Elysium. Not quite that degree of immersion, likely due to the lack of VO, but still an OK outing. Citizen Sleeper is another sleeper hit, that is slightly above Norco, but not quite Disco Elysium. Citizen Sleeper brought me some welling tears at two separate occasions, Disco did it once, Norco did not.
I really need to play Disco Elysium, it looks like exactly the kind of game I'd enjoy. I hadn't heard much about Citizen Sleeper, I'll check that out too!
@@ThreeMinuteGaming Final Cut is the best version of Disco and includes the complete addition of voiceover work. It's truly stellar work and brings the rather dark humour, dense political commentary, and cognitive deviations truly to life!

I've had someone tell me that this was their GOTY recently. After watching this, you've definitely got me interested in playing it.

@@DJSnafu It's got a handful of twists, but I found it mostly relied on it's strong atmosphere and characters.
