Looks okay. Im refraining from getting hyped for it, I don't have a ps5 and won't get one, So I can't play it.. I didnt like the combat from remake anyways tho tbh, I had to slog though it to soak in the story. Sure ill be watching others playthroughs but it wont be the same. Universe works in weird ways I tell you. 3 days or so ago, I was thinking to myself "I wonder when more will be shown on Rebirth?" and they released this trailer. I don't follow game conventions and news outlets like at all, so I didn't know it was coming. You can all thank me for the trailer releasing, my thoughts put it out into the universe and made it happen!

at 19:00 that's Bottomswell in Junon, not Leviathan. Looks like summons are fought in Chadley's VR again because if you can see the background on the Alexander fight.
See - part of me was wondering that! I thought it looked like Levi, but also thought the "area" looked like the jerk who attacks us when we're sneaking in. I wasn't sure which it was!
And that's a great point about Alexander, though I wonder...given that we're in the actual world now, I wouldn't be surprised if we still fought some summons out in the open/away from places...unless Chadley just asks us to bring it all to him to unlock basically.

Ah man! Seeing all the minigames from The Gold Saucer in that trailer really did it for me, since one of my biggest questions was how they would manage that part for Rebirth. They ain’t holding back! Bring on 29th Feb!

that scene with cloud and zack could be when they first get to midgar, since zack was carrying cloud after he survived at the end of remake.
100 percent, I think that makes a ton of sense. The order in which they've shown stuff could be off - this could be RIGHT before Zack goes to talk to meet up with her and everyone is crying.
I'm super excited for this game, man!!! Cannot wait to see how big this game is going to be.

Took me 50+ reaction videos to find someone who recognized Kujata. Bravo you are 1/50. Instant sub and thumbs up for that. (One guy gets partial credit but he didn't recognize kujata himself he asked and someone in his live chat answered it, so I'm not counting that lmao). To be fair, Kujata is an easily missable materia in the original FFVII, and is only seen in that game (as far as I know.) I'm not surprised most people didn't recognise it at first - took me two or three views to realise what it was.
For sure! Here we don't judge - I was happy I recognized em, but we all miss things at times right? And it's even more exciting when people point out cool stuff we didn't see (like Dio...I truly had no idea that was him lolol!).
We'll get to see like 2 demos when TGS starts, now this is what i call happiness!

Nomura: The original party members are all present in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. In the previous title, Final Fantasy VII Remake, Red XIII became an accompanying member in the second half of the game, but he will become an official, playable party member starting from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Similarly, there are characters who are accompanying members in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, that will become official party members in the next title.

I honestly feel like he’s talking about Vincent or Cid for sure, possibly both as non controlled characters for Rebirth. I’m gonna say Cid is the one most likely not being playable for this one though.
I think that's fair. Considering we saw Cait Sith playable, Vincent was fairly prominent in the trailer, and we STILL haven't seen Cid...especially if they (OG SLIGHT SPOILERS AHEAD!) have us go to space in the 3rd game, that's really where Cid is more important with his town. I could totally see them doing that.

Honestly I 100 percent get that. You'll be able to enjoy the story from beginning to end without issue. For me though, I just can't wait Q_Q

This trailer was absolutely amazing! I’m very curious how they are changing the whole scenario with Zack because he never made it back to Midgar in OG, definitely one of the more intriguing parts of Rebirth!
They're definitely going in with the theory we had w/ 7 remake and confirmed by them that it's an alternate timeline....but to what end? What does Sephiroth actually want? I was thinking about it all yesterday, why would Sephiroth be trying to merge the two worlds and keep it to where Zack is fine and moving forward in one timeline.
Would it be possible that he wants them to merge, both worlds to possibly be on the brink of destruction, and he wants to make the 2 timelines fight eachother, and therefore he wins in both? I don't know but I'm intrigued!
Hope we get to slap Scarlet around on top of the cannon sometime soon....
That's more than definitely gonna be in part 3 - and probably gonna be way more interesting than a kinda crappy slap fight lol. Tifa doesn't slap, she throws down!

Also lmao the sephiroth thing; omg it was bad with FFXI. I think the worst offender was a female character named Stephiroth. Then One of my actual close friends on that game was Yoffie. LIke we did so many years worth of events on that game together that it took years for me to stop mispronouncing Yuffie as Yoffie and then having to correct myself.

@@Xeromessiah Shit xi came out in 2002 japan i think 2003 NA, I started in 2005 and somehow manged to get Vegeto w/o having to add anything else to it or change it in any way. Then 2008 came around and they merged my server onto another and someone had my name so Ihad to change it, did the rest of my days as TigerWoods (lmao this was right around the time he was outed for nailing all those women)
YEAAAAAAH BOY!!! Looks like Square-Enix is STILL really putting in the work on this game and we finally have an official release date which is next year's February! Though I was hoping for sooner like in January. Also we saw Cait Sith and Vincent but still no Cid Highwind and Rocket Town along with Shera too, pehaps in the final trailer we'll see them. Furthermore that thing with Zack was definitely the alternate timeline where he's ALIVE!

You say "disc 2 stuff" when talking about the buggy. But it's funny much of the game actually is on the first disc. Disc 2 doesn't starts after "the scene", then disc 3 is just the final level.

And you're 100 percent right. I was actually thinking a lot about this...and I think I said it because we saw weapon and we saw Alexander. I can tell you've played the OG so we def have areas/scenes beyond that scene we're gonna play, right? Except...
In the Q&A, Nomura mentions where Rebirth will end, but he also says they're mixing up when we do certain things and the order will NOT be the same as the OG. So are they moving things to different places (say...the City to the Northern Crater) and we'll be going to a lot more places earlier? I'm pretty freaking excited/interested if that's the case!

I haven't beaten remake nor it's DLC😭I lost my data around the house boss fight and didn't want to replay the game. Never played the original but crisis core remake was so COOL. I'll get integrade through ps+ and play it because this trailer and seeing Zack with these upgraded graphics is hype!!!! This is will be my most anticipated game after spider man 2
Ah man that sucks!! I had a few members of my community who lost their saves when they were deep in Q_Q But I will say it's really good, and the ending + intergrade set up for Rebirth so I would absolutely play it again if you can!
They said they are making it to where you can jump into Rebirth and get like a recap of what happened...but some of the fights are just so fun!
i beat 17 chapters of 18 on hard and i completed the yuffie dlc will i be able to play second game i beat the first for the most part
