Acording to the newest interview with the devs on a Google site either Vincent or Cid (maybe even both) will be more like Red XIII was in Remake
He's here but won't be a playable character mark my words or cid

I just read an article where Nomura said there will be accompanying characters in rebirth that will become playable in the next title similar to how red xiii was in remake. What does that mean!? Maybe Vincent or Cid won't be playable in this game? Maybe he's referring to Zack? Maybe new characters? I don't knowwwwww
I read that too. I believe that is vague for a reason. We should definitely be getting Vincent and Cid playable in this game. Though, Red and Cait Sith are new playable so that’s two new ones right there. Yuffie doesn’t count because of Intergrade.

Sephiroth looked a little bit like Castlevania's Alucard in certain scenes and the way Vincent appears he almost looks like how JRM's version of Dracula breaking free of his chains, and in my opinion not that it counts for anything JRM should have been the face model for Vincent as well as the voice for him

My guess is that part 2 will have all characters playable at the end or at least all of them in the party and part 3 will focus on all of them together in the title called reunion ;)
CID and Vincent won’t be unfortunately. It’s in the PlayStation blog. They are accompanied characters until part 3
