I am 15 and was born 2 years after it's ending but still have seen it thousands of times. If a friends sequal comes I will definitely see it but I can't be even close to these actors - David, matt, Matthew, Courtney, Jennifer, Lisa etc

Not a 90s kid, but this still has a special place in my heart. I never really paid attention to Friends, but it always rolled when I was having a meal with my grandmother and my uncle at her living room. The room had that pleasing old people smell. The one that makes you feel really, really safe. And comfortable.
I grew up with an abusive dad, so I guess I never really felt safe at home. Every weekend, I would sneak away before my parents woke up and run over to my grandmom's. Could be 5 AM, or even 2 AM, but she would always welcome me inside. She'd share her wonderful homemade cinnamon buns with me, homemade pancakes and all kinds of delicious meals. She'd make me breakfast and she'd prepare a bed for me if I wanted to sleep over. I swear, there was not a house that I'd rather watch Friends in. And there's nothing that reminds me of her more than this opening. The cheerful atmosphere in it. Whenever I was at her place, I would feel as happy as those strange people swimming in a fountain.
I really want to sit down in that comfortable living room and watch all of Friends while enjoying a meal with my grandma. Most of all, though, I want to give her a hug, cry in her arms, and thank her for making my childhood. Alas, she moved on. And here I sit in my messy little room, thinking about how her living room smelled like. And her warm face. I miss her so fucking much.

I've never watched the show but I can still appreciate the cultural and personal impact it has on people. I'm glad you were able to bond over it with your grandma. Good Grandmas are great people and we love em so much which is why when they pass it hurts so much. when my grandma passed I felt this void . For now I cherish the memories we made

This opening just makes me reminisce for the friends I’ve never had, it’s so bittersweet. Having so much fun just dancing and being in each other’s presence, I don’t really have anyone in my life I could imagine doing that with. I have a couple great people in my life, but just not like that. It kind of makes me sad.

I miss 1990s and 2000s TV. The shows we have on ABC, CBS and NBC in the current time are nauseating
