this show is a great example of amazing scriptwriting. you can rewatch it again & again, and it will always be engaging no matter how many time you heard the joke

I do think it’s partially because there’s so many episodes by the time you finish the series you’ve kind of forgotten the past episodes

@@supermom23 Not sure. Jennifer had and still has many friends in real-life who became a mother at that point, or later in life. She also *never* stated she didn't want children. Just because she hasn't any, doesn't mean she hates them.
The motion picture industry isn't an easy place to be in. Let alone, your private life being out in the open. Though, like in Harrison Ford's case, you can choose it to be private. So, it begs the question with Jennifer. Either way, it is as it is. In that scene in 1996 she wasn't fooling anyone. Those were maternal instincts.

@@supermom23 she said in an interview just before the show ended that she wanted to start a family straight away. But then the hubby found someone else. It wasn't because she didn't want kids... it just didn't happen.
@@supermom23 We can't assume such things. She probably has trouble conceiving or carrying a child. We don't know. Some women want to have a child of their own and not adopt. Nothing wrong with that. Doesn't help that she had mom issues growing up and her husband left her for another woman.
Ross really had a unique way of talking. David did a great job with the mannerisms and everything 👏😄

I think my favorite will always be the fact that Phoebe's reaction to the Mocklate Chip Cookies had to be changed at the last minute to "This must be what evil tastes like" because Lisa Kudrow physically couldn't say the original line "These are the cookies they serve in Hell!" without cracking up.

Best Mathew blooper that was kept in the show IMO - When he was handcuffed to the file cabinet drawer in Rachel's bosses office... and he said "Would you just..." to Rachel and he forcefully tugged on his wrist cuffed to the drawer indicating he wanted her to just unlock it. The drawer flew open and hit him in the head - which was the blooper, and they kept it in the show.

The only one I like a tiny bit better is when they threw a dummy of Ross down the stairs without telling Jennifer Aniston ahead of time, and she did have a very authentic reaction. They got the shot they were looking for. Wow. I would imagine she couldn't help being mad at first, because I've always thought of pranks as just mean. It's not funny, but for that shot they had to.
All these years later, and it's still one of the best shows ever. Never fails to lift the mood and make you smile or laugh ❤️❤️❤️. #Friends

Best of all of this video is the fact it's in HD. For years and decades we had to rely on the old 00s resolution of 440 or 720pp etc. Now it's 1080 and more.
Incredible writing plus a cast with great timing and great relationships.
After Matthew Perry's death, rewatching F.R.I.E.N.D.S seems so hard to do. But one thing's for sure. Matthew Perry may have passed, but Chandler Bing will remain here with us, forever. Thank you Matthew for creating such a timeless character. You will always be loved and dearly missed.

I can’t imagine how Matt Leblanc is feeling right now. Joey and Chandler were pretty much brothers on the show.
Friends is without a doubt the best comedy show I've ever seen in my life. I believe it will never be surpassed.
I didn’t religiously watch Friends when broadcast, and don’t in reruns either but do appreciate the series when seen during channel changes. Not that each episode stands fully on its own but the need to see prior episodes is not as prevalent as with other shows.
The three leading ladies are independently intriguing, I won’t say each were at the top of their careers as I think JA grew further after the series end, LK not so much, and CCA went a little different path IMO - though no criticism of any. I have no basis to comment in this area for the male leads.
HIMYM has its moments, and was a bit of a clone in some respects but the premise was a substantially different direction. Both shows are great in their own right - unfortunately the last half of penultimate and a few early final season of HIMYM had a set of “mean” episodes (I didn’t start watching weekly until season 6/9) which on second view aren’t as disheartening as first watch. A major driving theme in HIMYM was the trouble caused by the often lecherous Barney, I don’t think Friends has a parallel character.
Perhaps HIMYM benefitted from more stabile writing / directorial personnel but in last 2seasons the change is obvious. Friends is not as edgy, may be why I was not as captivated during broadcasts. Both shows are gems.

I could assume you are a big fan of TBBT, though I won’t. Your two sentences reveal Sheldon-style presumptions on a few levels. The Sheldon character, while part of the reason TBBT was successful (most often as the antagonist), portrays a demeaning stereotype regarding higher intelligence individuals being disconnected from others and loving that state to the point of obnoxious excess. Hard to pick from the other characters as to my favorite, process of assessing lowest average number of serious character flaws points to a toss-up between Amy and Penney, with Raj close behind though because he’s persistently shy near females - not too close. IMO, YMMV. 🙂
@H if you believe they used the same 10 jokes, then that only proves that you obviously just weren't smart enough to get the hundreds of other jokes throughout the series. Maybe they were either too complex for you, or the jokes were too smart for you, and you didn't get them. Which would explain why a dumbed down show like 'Friends', is more your speed.

I've re watched this series idk how many times but I never get bored with Friends. It's one of those shows that will never stop being funny. Been watching this show since I was 15 and I'm 24 now.

The funny thing I noticed about David Schwimmer's bloopers is that because he does that "pause and speak" where sometimes his statements sound like questions and then a slight nervous laugh.... he literally could fumble through til he figured out his line and we would be none the wiser because his character always sounds nervous and stuttery. A good example is the exchange between "Ross and Rachael" about the laundry room in his building bloopers at 2:00
I like it when Courtney cox is playing the table tennis with the other people and she comes out with a lot of rubbish and Chandler just says what!
