Kudrow aged a lot. They were using a lot of cover - up around her eyes,but she still had bags .
Kudrow is six years older than Aniston and Perry .
They also used waaay too many chemicals on hair in this show.

Courtney had a lot of work done on her face. She seems older than Lisa and Jennifer now.

Ross’s wife just left him for a woman and Rachel dumped Barry at the alter. In episode 1 Ross & Rachel were set up for each other and it took 10 YEARS and a DAUGHTER to end up together.

The network did. There was enormous buzz about the script for the show. Also please stop over-using “iconic”. Invest in a thesaurus.
Not me. I don't remember exactly, but chances are that I thought that Roseanne would be the last good sitcom. (Yeah, I know Seinfeld was around, but a show about nothing, with some stand-up act inbetween breaking any tension, did not seem memorable to me).

How to get hooked for life with a tv show in less than 5 minutes
Just that first scene establishes so much in just a few lines - they are very close Friends who share pretty intimate info about each other, at least two of them are single, at least three are unlucky in love, Monica is on the dating scene, Phoebe is a bit of an odd ball, Joey is straight talking and chandler is sarcastic and quippy.
Also: twin-tails Phoebe is best Phoebe.
That entrance of Jennifer Aniston...did she have any idea how her life would change forever after that ? 🌠

This shows Rachel was the protagonist: Friends started when she got into the group, and she was the one who changed the most during the seasons.
I don't think this was a realistic introduction to Rachel's character, but it worked out in the end. Yes, she sure changed over the years.

Almost there: the person who told Gunther was Jasmine, who worked with Phoebe. Denise was Phoebe's room mate no one knew about.

I would of loved loved to of been there for one of the tapping of friends especially the first epsiodebut I live in England and when this premiered I was only 4 years old lol.
It was lovely growing up with it and it ending when I was 14. Big Bang theory kinda took over a few years later but as much as I loved that show it didnt really have the warmth (especially in the last few seasons) that friends had 🙂 x

It was like something out of a fairy tale when Rachel dropped in.
This must have been filmed in 1993 for it to be premiered in 1994. It still has a little bit of late 80's atmosphere.

Even though in the first few episodes it was trying to find its identity, the characters still kept their traits for the next ten seasons.
"And I just one a million dollars!" I haven't watched a lot of friends but I'm pretty confident Chandler is the funniest of them (although Phoebe is also a hoot). Matthew Perry will always be remembered regardless. May he rest in peace

There is one problem, why Rachel doesn't know Chandler at this time. The timeline of Rachel and Chandler isn't correct over the ten seasons.
It’s called anachronism
It’s just really hard to perfectly plan a whole series, especially 10 seasons.
When they wrote this scene, they probably hadn’t planned the scenes where Rachel would have met Chandler in the past (who knows, maybe they hadn’t actually planned to go that far)

The problem with that theory is that The One with The Flashback takes place mere weeks before this scene.
