How have we’ve never heard of most of these women before. Good for you for bringing their stories forth. This is what it’s about…I’m get to a bit tired of hearing about the same people over snd over again. LOVE these fresh stories…
I think Veronica II’s sister deserved to be overthrown. I’d say Veronica had the last life. The only Queen I knew was Lady Jane Grey, but I think a lot of people knew who she was.
Lady Jane Grey was the only one I actually knew. Good job , the others I was absolutely “ stumped “. Amazing . Somehow or another, some of my Irish ancestors go the whole way back through the lines to the legendary King Niall of Ireland. It’s absolutely amazing what you learn .
Imagine if Lady Jane Grey was never killed and she was still alive during 1603 and became the new queen of England how would England have been like in your opinion
Same here. Bradgate Park where Jane was born and grew up is one of my favourite places in the world. I’m from that neck of the woods anyway but there is something eerily peaceful about the place.
I think Jane Grey is one figure that people that like history or learning about the tutor history you would know what happened to her the other women on this list I did not know about
Empress Maria is an ancestor of Catherine of Valois as are Emperors John and Alexios Komemnos. Catherine is my 19th gg. She decends from almost every royal family of medival Europe to Byzantium. You should do a video on Catherine of Valois ancestors...Its beyond remarkable, its mind boggling.
Very interesting! If you haven't already, please do a story on the remarkable Joanna I of Naples, whom I expected to see in this video. Oops, spoiler alert!
@@dianetheisen8664 that was Joanna I of Castile, Catherine of Aragon’s older sister. It is believed she was mentally unstable, yes, but more modern historians think her father, husband and son over-exaggerated or outright lied about her supposed mental state. Joanna I of Naples was born over a century before Catherine of Aragon’s sister.
I saw a dubbed Italian sword and sandal movie once where a queen was asked what the punishment should be for a usurper and she ordered the person placed in a spiked barrel and rolled down hill so the mob did that to her. That doesn't ring any bells does it?
You repeated the base lie about 'Bloody Mary'. Here are the death tolls of the reigns of her father, her brother, and her own, with the average number, per year, of 'religious dissidents' killed. Henry VIII - 72,000 divided by 37 years = 1945.94 Edward VI - 5,500 divided by 6 years = 916.66 Mary I - 284 divided by 5 years = 56.8 As you can see, Queen Mary killed just over 6% of the total her brother managed and not quite 3% of her father's total. In other words, the Catholic Queen was by far and away more merciful than her bloodthirsty Protestant father and brother.

For history lovers in the UK Lady Jane Grey is fairly well known.
I’m ashamed to say I didn’t know about the others though.

I was so excited to see a notification about a new video! Thank you for covering lesser known stories!
Usually a silent fan but yesss!! I did a double take when I saw the different content!! Exciting stuff please keep it up :)
Outstanding video...I just subscribed. This is the type of history that I truly enjoy. Thank you for sharing!!
Lady Jane Grey. Poor baby, only 17yrs old.😪
Her parents were cruel and forced Jane on the throne for political power.
The only queen 👑 I knew of was Lady Jane Grey. The other 4️⃣ queens 👑 are new to me and I would love ❤️ to learn more about them, please.

Thank you so much! I love learning new things.
Wow. Can't have been easy producing this. Thank you. As always, amazing video.😮❤

Helena Bonham Carter played her in a film as well

Nero was such a rat bag
Love your expression! I will use "rat bag" for people I don't like from now on. :D
@@mayday6916 you are more than welcome x
Douche bag would be more appropriate
I hate his ass
Shelley Puhak - The Dark Queens - on Brunhild and Fredegund. Great book. Fredegund was probably the more deserving of the two for the wild horses bit.
This is awesome! I'd only knew of Jane Grey
Um, heck yeah! What a great video!!
Thanks for the great Video. I found it very interesting.
Great video
That last one sounded to me as an insult toward that mistress.
Sorry wait what!!! The whole Veronica stories deserves at least two videos…probably more. How can you just sweep over that story
Very interesting! If you haven't already, please do a story on the remarkable Joanna I of Naples, whom I expected to see in this video. Oops, spoiler alert!
Wasn't Joanna the sister of Katherine of Aragon⁉️ And, if so, didn't she go mad⁉️

Love the content!
Ruthless, Brutal and Torturous is an understatement in these executions. Good Lord!! 😱
Makes we laugh when they say ‘never heard of’! Wtf has not heard of Lady Jane Grey!!!!

Which of these five queens is your favorite?
Lady Jane Grey who I was already aware of. She was young and did not want to be queen 👑.
@@dianetheisen8664 I wonder what Mary Tudor would've thought about what her daughter & son in law did to both Jane & her sisters.Poor girls.
I knew about Lady Jane Grey but not so much of the others. I would love hearing more of lesser known royals.
I have no favorites in historical figures but Jane’s case and Claudia was fcked up
@@susanmccormick6022 Mary Tudor wasn’t the mother of Mary I
i remember Claudia Octavia from watching I Claudius in the 1970s
God I love this channel
Also Ines de Castro
Please amend to Austrasia as you have it on the transcript as Australia😂
Mielestäni Jane Grey ei kuulu tähän joukkoon
She died after being torn apart by four horses. Yeah, who could have guessed that. Thanks for the video. 👍
G'Day Brunhild of Australia , I've Lived here all my life and I dont remember them Teaching about Her at School🤔
Brunhilde of Austrasien. That ist the former french realm 😂
The chapter title should be corrected to *Brunhilda of Austrasia* (not “Australia”)
Lady Jane Grey and the Empress Claudia are hardly unknown.
Brunhild of Austrasia wasn't she the great great grandmother of Charlmagne?
We want you to be Queen! No thanks, I will just take a back seat, okay. :)
I think most people have heard of Lady Jane Grey
not Brunhild of Australia, but of Austrasia
Surely she was tied to the tail of the horses not their legs.
Very strange music. God Rest We Merry Gentlemen? ?

Never been a Queen Brunhild of Australia... Should have said AUSTRIA
