OMG! You are my hero! I tried other suggested fixes, but your solution WORKED perfectly! I switched the driver & passenger rear modules & my window went right up. As an added bonus, the front main controller started working again after that! Thank you so much….we have had a lot of rain down here in South Florida & I was desperate to fix this! I have a 2009 G37x. I've had problems with the rear passenger window for a few years now. I'm not sure what the trigger is, but sometimes that window would go all the way down, and then nothing will make it go back up. Only solution was to keep spamming the button until the window random goes up again. I'm not savvy on cars, so I don't know how to pinpoint the issue. I didn't want to get overcharged by a mechanic. I started to keep the window lock on at all times, which did help prevent most accidents. The other day, my key fob died so I used my key to open the car. I somehow opened all the windows just about an inch or so. Must have held too long? It started raining today, so I tried to undo the window lock to close the little gap. Once I undid the lock, the rear passenger window went all the way down again. Great, now I'm spending the rest of my evening spamming buttons again. With no luck, I scoured the internet to find anything I can try. Came across this video. Didn't quite understand the logic, but gave the method a try. AND IT WORKED! TL;DR: My rear passenger window goes down but not up. The button switching did the trick!
Were you able to get the rear window back up with the main window switch on the driver's door or did that switch not work either because the rear switch was bad? Thanks for the video!
@EARTHKEENING likely will have to apply power directly to motor to get it up. Assuming the switch went bad and not the motor. This require pulling a wiring diagram for your car
I haven't watched your video yet, but my rear right window automatically lowers when I start my car and will not go back up by operating any of the buttons. I think it's because the other day, when in a Starbucks drive through, the buttons on the driver's side got wet, since there was no covering at Starbucks. When the car is turned off, if you put the key in the driver's door and hold in the left position a few seconds, it lets all the windows up...including the back one that is stuck. I just did this. However, I still have the issue of when I start the car that same window automatically goes down...and putting the key in the door and holding left does not work if the engine is on. So...I'm trying to figure that out now.
I had a similar issue... Just swap the rear passanger with rear driver to get it back up! Also make sure you get the switch with the same part number. As the resister inside switch is specific to location. I had to get 2 used switches before it worked properly. Car hasn't done back, and I've service their other vehicle.

Yes I too want to thank you so much! It worked and at least I got the back passenger window back up. I feed feral cats and am in and out of the car for over on hour. I even locked my purse in the trunk. Your advise allowed me to get home and my plan is go to the mechanic in the morning. God bless!

Took the whole door apart just to find out replacing the switch was the problem 😑..... thanks though saved me a good amount of money
