Assassins blade really does fit in anywhere. Personally I read it after crown of midnight, before heir of fire. Because of what you learn in both those books it's for sure a great place to slot it in

See I love Aelin and The assassins Blade > Throne of glass. I honestly thought it was an amazing book and I’m so excited to keep reading it, then move on to heir of fire.
The Assassin's Blade is the prequel and should have been read first, but I honestly don't think it's a big deal when you read it. In my opinion, I loved Assassin's Blade and Throne of Glass the most.
I'm reading Kingdom of Ash finally. I've put it off for far too long.
