Houstonian here, was in Abilene to visit family that day and drove to Stamford, I thought we were going to be blown over!!, stopped to get gas and my arm almost flies off after the wind grabbed opened my door, I had NEVER seen anything like it, it was cool but wow, I was waiting to see a tumbleweed but didn't see any

I stayed inside until the wind died down! My head stops up so inside till it passes! We definitely have variety of weather here! Can be in a matter of a few days from one extreme to the other! Life can be like that too! Thank you for videoing this! Have been caught out on the highway with zero visibility! Not fun! Dangerous! Also blowing snow {blizzard} with zero visibility! Now in Lubbock for that. Snow, ice,hail, tornadoes, and dirt! What did I leave out? Thank you again, Kirk the Storm Chaser!🌻🌻🌻

Fun Fact: Did you know that "Haboob" is another name/word for a dust storm? I knew this, because I've seen a bunch of them in Arizona.
But I NEVER knew there are dust storms in Texas too, It just completely blew my mind! :O

Yea this wasn’t as bad looking as the Haboobs AZ gets, when we literally see the BIG wall of dirt come crashing in like a wave. Waiting on my house to be finished out in southeast Lubbock going back home after 30 years of AZ living looks like they get bi polar weather just like AZ🤪

We do a few times almost every year. It's very dry . The humidity gets as low as 6%

Pretty much. We're expecting 15-20mph winds this afternoon and 30mph tomorrow. They don't even put a windy symbol on the forecast.
