It's interesting how the present generation wants to go around apologizing for something that may or may not have been done hundreds of years ago, but find it impossible to forgive and seek forgiveness for the immediate wrongs!

Islam and baphomet ruined the crusades.
I think that a lot of people have a negative view of the Crusades cause a lot of people fought cause the pope told them they could win their salvation and get their loved ones out of purgatory if they fought and died. Which seems manipulative as a reason for war. Then like at one point a bunch of Crusaders attacked and sacked Constantinople when they were supposed to be on the way to Jerusalem. It seems they were completely unorganized and based on bad decisions. Why would western Christians attack their eastern brothers and sisters in Christ? Therefore I think many just assume the crusaders were Christians in name only and just following the orders of the popes cause they held the most power at the time. As a Protestant I don’t know much about the specifics of the Crusades and Catholics have never given me any good reasons to support them, especially given what I know about the Crusaders’ weak morals.
Were the allies justified in fighting a war against Nazi Germany, even thought horrible atrocities were commited also from their side?
You are, unfortunately, a recipient of about 200+ years, ever since the so-called Enlightenment, of anti-Crusade propaganda, which stems from even earlier anti-Catholic propaganda from Protestantism, especially English Protectants. Entire books have been written refuting the distortions and half truths you contained in a single paragraph, but those by Thomas Madden may be especially helpful.
The crusades were just war. Period.
