Todays goal was to just relocate my micro shell hunting spot in Gulf Shores. I wasn't prepared to stumble across what may have been my best day of seashell hunting ever! I cannot believe how many amazing shells were uncovered in this video and I'm so glad to share this experience with yall!

I found a unbroken sharks eye as big as my hand at Boliver Beach over close to Galveston last weekend! I was so excited!

I LOVE seashells. We are currently in Fort Morgan and not having the best of luck finding shells.
Never had any luck at there.

If you want a cool micro shell hunting trip come to Texas and shell out at Sea Rim State Park near Port Aurther.
I've have made note if I ever find myself heading in that direction. :)
I think my favorite is a tossup between the fighting conch and a shark's eye. The weather sure turned out beautiful and the shells were awesome. Keep up the great videos and God bless you and your family.
The marbling on that first sharks eye was incredible. It was going to be my first choice during the shell draft no matter what.

I think these shells we are finding have been here they just got uncovered due to the hurricanes eroding the sand banks of the beach. Pretty amazing nonetheless. Hope you're doing well friend.

My personal experience I had a difficult time finding shells in Gulf shores in August. As I did not go in the morning. Found some but nothing extremely unique
These were found right after Hurricane Sally made landfall. There are still things to find, but not as plentiful as there would be after a major hurricane.
@@SandMarcusJ Found a weird cluster of like barnacles/pinkish red among the most unique things. Something almost like you’d see in a store there for sale if you know what I mean. Yeah I went further out using my hands and well a net to get good ones. Point Alabama is supposed to be the best area, but I was too busy to go in the morning during low tide

That was an amazing day of seashell hunting! My favorite was the rare Jamaican shell that was found! But there were so many other beautiful shells found, too!
I now have two of those in my collection.

I was just in GS and found a black olive shell that was a nice size and in good shape but I lost it in the ocean...😤
While that can be certainly upsetting, the positive thought is that there is a chance something will crawl into and live it it :).
Haven’t had time to watch all this video, but have watched a few others. My question is where are the Murexes? I have found many on the beaches to the east of you. But I do not see them in your videos.
Hiding in the sand awaiting to be found. Honestly, don't find many of them here. So no good answer for that. I would address the shell Gods.
I have found them and many Lightening Whelks in the Destin and PCB area.
Last year I was in the Manasota Key area and had some of my best beach finds ever. I found 2 Lightening Whelks in the 8 to 9 inch size, a sun dried Sea Horse, 2 sun dried Starfish, 2 Sea Urchin shells, and a dozen or so Sand Dollars. That was probably a once in a lifetime to find a collection like that.
