Great video. You may want to put your voltage meter on the inverter side of the battery disconnect, so it’s not drawing power when you’re not using it. Thank for the detailed build! Keep up the great work!
Thank you for watching! Also, you are right about hooking the voltage meter on the inverter side of the battery disconnect. It wastes too much energy when not in use.
Best step by step video I have seen yet. Might consider a fuse and if connecting more switches using bus bars will free up the battery terminals. Great job!
Nice build need two fan intake and out take i build power station need fused to but good job i have same tool box with 1100 watts inverter with waterproof plug
The battery is an inexpensive SLA battery, so it does not have a BMS, but the solar charger automatically stops charging when the voltage reaches around 12.7v. You will be more likely to find BMS systems in lithium batteries, which will ensure that all the cells are balanced and do not overcharge.
Hi, Jacob thank you for your quick response, I had another question before I start building my solar? Is the battery I bought the right one for my inverter? I bought an Optima yellowtop D75/25 dual 12v purpose battery with 48AH and 620 cold-cranking AMPS to go with a 500w pure wave inverter Dc 12v to Ac( 2 outlets) 110v car charger plug inverter adapter converter with 4.2 A dual charging ports
@gvsf5946 That battery will work great for your build. I think the optima brand is really good, and that is an AGM battery, so it will last longer. As long as it is a 12v battery to 12v inverter, you should be good to go. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.
Thank you very much for the support! I just added a parts list in the description of the video with the name of all the products and what store you can find them. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.
I have battery sinology lithium battery cells total of 8 cells. I want to put on the same toolbox as your. I tie the battery cells together, it is like 11inch x 14inch and 7 inch high, maybe 10 inch high if added the busbar and all other connection. Do you think it can use the same ridigt pro gear system 2.0 like your. I only want to put the battery, and I will put the hybrid inverter on the top.
The Home Depot website says that the base of the box has a width of 13.8", and a length of 22.4". It also says that it has a height of 12.2" so as long as you add the inverter to the top of the box, not the inside, it will work. Also, thank you for watching!
Im sorry for the late reply. I probably should of done research before hooking up the shutoff switch because I just looked up and it says the negative side is recommended. If I were to do it again, I would hook up the negative side to the shutoff switch, but I don't think it will make much of a difference.
I should have added another fan, but only one was available when I ordered it on Amazon. I plan on installing a second fan on the other side to improve heat transfer from the battery and inverter. Also, thank you for checking out the video and leaving a comment!
If you wire the batteries in parallel, you can add as many 12V batteries as you like without increasing the overall voltage. However, if you wire them in series, the voltage will increase by 12V for each additional battery you add.
Yes, any hole saw kit will work for this build since you will just be cutting holes in plastic. The set that I used for this build is in the description and it was inexpensive. However, if you want to cut holes in anything other than softwood or plastic you will need a more expensive set like the Milwaukee hole dozers.
Very clear and systematic presentation. Great job bro

Thank you for watching! Adding fuses and a bus bar is a good idea.
nice video, more need to make more detailed videos like this
Hat a great little build and tutorial! I think I’m gonna pop one together myself with your recipe! Thank you 🙏
Thank you for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video! If you have any questions when you are building yours, feel free to ask them here.
Washers are ur friend brother. Great build! Could use some washers 😉
Nice build need two fan intake and out take i build power station need fused to but good job i have same tool box with 1100 watts inverter with waterproof plug
😄😁👏👍
Can I use a 2 AWG cable for a 500 Watt inverter?
Does the battery provide its own BMS (battery management system) to prevent over-charging?
The battery is an inexpensive SLA battery, so it does not have a BMS, but the solar charger automatically stops charging when the voltage reaches around 12.7v. You will be more likely to find BMS systems in lithium batteries, which will ensure that all the cells are balanced and do not overcharge.
How can we add UPS functionality to this?

no fuse?
Con todo lo que gastas te compras una estación de corriente de 500€-1000w
Not too bad for a beginner......
Yes do good just missing 12 fused blocked and fused and breakee for out let i build have 13 usb port fast chare and 3 110 volt out let
excellent work for anybody at any stage of their diy journey
this is a great video. If you can have a link to all materials would be helpful . Thanks

Is there a reason why the on/off switch would be positive and not negative?

Cost?
Should you have added an exhaust fan also, just saying

can i put more batteries?

I have a Black and Decker drill I just bought, and I am a first-time user, can I buy any hole saw kit for my drill?

@@Jacob_Pratt Thank you
Fuses are over rated I see....
