I got so excited by this! Also, I'm very happy I stumbled across your channel. I absolutely love taking pictures within games, I love when they implement a good photo mode and it's so nice to see people creating such good content over this.
photo mode as a game mechanic? that's neat! i really like the dynamic posing of the characters, also how the interactions with the vehicles looked just as natural!
@@PhotoModeReview Me too! I normally ignore most photo modes, mostly because the majority of the ones I play in games are limited, if they exist at all. last game I really dove into the photo mode was with frontiers of pandora, I think a large part of that had to do with how incredibly realistic the world looked. the photo mode itself had limited options, but I could almost always pop into photo mode and have a good shot I could take. photo modes often feel so far removed from the game I have to actively remember it's there. making it actually part of the game is such a big brain move, I can't wait to see how it'll be implemented! death stranding is already a gorgeous game, i know i can already bet money that 2 is going to be even more gorgeous and having characters pose so dynamically while looking and moving so realistically is really going to make taking photos a ton of fun! i can hear my computer crying already from all the storage use 😂
You are speaking my language! Pandora was BEAUTIFUL. I have hundreds of shots in that game and still playing. DS2 is definitely going to be something special. I’ll be doing a full video over it when it releases so be sure to swing back by!
Imagine having a photo where someone who have died, and Sam would react to that by looking at the photo. No idea how the photo mode could impact the story tho.
Seems a lot of people don't remember or didn't know, but In original releases of Metal Gear Solid 2 the first mission in the tanker has you taking photos of Metal Gear Ray. Near the end of the story Snake references the photos he took and the actual photos the player took hours before show up on a fake in-game website as part of the story. It was pretty cool! Unfortunately the newer release of the game just uses placeholder images and not the actual player photos.... Also one of the bonus modes in the first Metal Gear Solid had a photo mode where Naomi and Mei Ling would do poses for you for a few minutes and you could walk around and take pictures from different angles, almost like what is shown here. So Kojima has been doing this for decades!
WOW! This is awesome insight. I never played that game. What a shame they removed that feature in the new release. I really love how Kojima can incorporate personal touches like that.
I've probably only taken like 20 photos across all photo modes in the games I've played so far, and most of those are just from mgsv and death stranding. But I can see that number skyrocketing on release day😂
@@PhotoModeReview No, they pose when you point the camera at them. Very basic, but theychange their demenor when you take photos and do the classic V sign.
Very excited to see how this works in-game

My UA-cam recommendation is to reply with “welcome aboard!” Which feels right lol. Thanks for watching. I’m so pumped to be taking shots in DS2!
Kojima brings Photomode for masses
This comment makes me think we need a parody “Milkshake” song: 🎵 Kojima brings the photo mode to the masses 🎵

I know right? I like the idea of some in-game captures being more than just for the player. The posing is unreal.

This would be so cool and meaningful. I love it!
4:12 photos you've taken are visible in the private room. This frame is about that i think
Oh cool! That’s so much fun
Classic Kojima. Fragile is so cute.

Yessss. I love to hear it! DS2 gonna be crazy beautiful
His games are so unique 👍
Like a Dragon, the characters pose when you take a photo.
Interesting! Is there any option to choose their pose?

the stranding unto death
bruh why dont you have a video of Baldurs Gate 3 Photomode by Otis_Inf?
I don’t own a PC! I wish BG3 would add one.
Death Stranding good
I wasn't a fan of kojima until i played DS
