Take the original game's choice of setting off the ray sphere a second time for enhanced abilities, if you do it and doom civilians for a power boost, it could result in more conduits rising up that wanna take revenge against you and that unlocks as a side mission chain that can practically act as a boss rush and each one's powers are unique and draw on elements in the environment (water, magnetism, barbed wire, glass and paper, let's get all Avatar/X-Men/Second Son cut concept powers with it) Hell maybe you could even pull some real manipulative bastard shit and try turning them against each other or sparing them if they help you take down someone else. Make the good choice and don't doom innocents tho? You lose out on the boss battles entirely and instead you have a tougher time in the story BUT it inspires some people to take up the fight, giving rise to a new faction of rebels that you can help out in a side mission chain centered around healing the city. This is VERY stream of consciousness, didn't expect it to get this long but once I started typing it just poured outta me😅

And nowadays licensed games are always bad, low quality or just not loved/cooked enough for the fan base. I agree. We know we aint getting a sequel so at least a decent remake that doesnt crash every 5 minutes. Dragon Age too but I feel they would use the coat of paint that makes it look colourfull instead of gritty. And Skate YES cause the new one is just gonna be live service crash grab.
Infamous 1 and 2 are a MUST. I would also love to see Crash Twinsanity again. That game was so underrated, but I loved it. And the entire Jak and Daxter saga, too👌🏻
Infamous 2 doesn't need a remake at all, juts would be nice to get it off of the PS3. Infamous 1, though, its dated af and would need not just a full remake visually but all the improvements that 2 had as well as more traversal tools that SS had. Definately needs a way to get vertical quick. Hopping up the walls was tedious. Just adding some sort of zip poles like 2 had would be fine but more something like neon or smokes vents from SS would be better. Also 2s DLC is pretty trash, It's like 2 hours long and boring compared to 2.

For Far Cry 2 fast speech, not sure who but I think Raycevik said in his video essay about far cry 2 that it was voiced originally in french, and then dubbed in english, so they had to fit the english phrases with the lip movements of french, thus fast talking in english

The problem with transformers games is, they always design the levels with shitty scale. The robots are supposed to be 30 ft tall, yet the levels are no different than the scale of gears of war it something. You never feel like you're actually a large robot
Sly, Bully, Infamous, PlayStation Home, Jak, Prototype, Any Final Fantasy from 1-12, Tony Hawk Underground’s, Warhawk.. I could go on forever. So many incredible games that deserve so much more. Not sure if most of these would ever happen though sadly.
The Evil Within series is criminally under-rated. The mindbending and dark storyline was a very fresh take from the usually clichéd and B-movie type story in Resident Evil.
that's why we need the remakes. To remind them what good storytelling is. Look at Konami, they left the videogame industry for gambling machines. They need to relearn how to make good games and remakes are a good way to do that.

@@kileak6 Couldn't agree more. I can't play classical JRPGs anymore. The turn based combat in them is just deep as a puddle in the vast majority of them, especially in this day and age, to make sure it's accessible to the widest possible audience. Attack -> enemy. Health item -> friendly. Magic -> enemy. Repeat for half or more of your total playtime. Bo-oo-ring. LotD is one I can always return to though. Not saying it has the deepest combat either, because it doesn't. You can pretty much spam the basic "defend" and "attack" and make it through most of the game that way, other than maybe a couple notable bosses (particularly the optionals). Though you can get pretty tactical with it if you fully engage with the options available. But the amount of interaction you get with the combat with combos and magic requiring your input to pull off effectively, almost a little like a rhythm game, makes it SO much more engaging. Especially because you unlock new combos all the way through the game unless you're power leveling. To top it off, bar none, one of the best, most interesting stories, settings, and environments/atmosphere of any JRPG ever. "People use the souls of dragons to become hybridized avatars of them, and your girlfriend is an apocalyptic avatar of the moon that Fae people want to use to get revenge for a long lost war that drove them near extinction." You absolute lunatic.. I'm all in.
InFamous 1, 2 & Festival of Blood are my all time favorite PS3 games. I still can't get over the fact that this was the only series that didn't get a PS4 remaster like Uncharted, The Last of Us & God of War 3. I know SuckerPunch is busy working on the Ghosts of Tsushima sequel, but it's still not to late for them to make some improvements to the Infamous games. Just set the frame rate to 60fps & upscale them to 4K.
Yeah, I think there might be something weird going on behind the scenes with InFamous. I wonder if Marvel got mad about how InFamous is such a great superhero game, and takes a lot of inspiration from X-Men. I wonder if Marvel wanted Sucker Punch to make an X-Men game but they turned them down so they are pressuring Sony to not revisit the InFamous universe. I know it's kind of a crazy conspiracy theory, but I can't understand why they heck Sony wouldn't remake some of their best games--and literally the some of the best superhero games ever made--for no reason. Resident Evil 4 was my Grandpa's favourite videogame and he got me into gaming, we used to play it so much together when I was a kid, I wish he could experience this masterpiece with me again. So happy to know Resi 4 Remake is as amazing as I hoped it would be. For the snarky people asking he was in his mid 50's when we played the original Resi 4, people of all ages play video games, not just 12 year olds, he would have been like 67 this year.

Early Saints Row and True Crime (NY & LA) would be awesome remakes. It's been so long that they deserve them. Plus sleeping dogs was a great game (developers of True Crime). So we already know the studio is capable of making a great open world GTA game on more modern hardware. I also want a ghost recon Wildlands remake.
Why would you remake uncharted 1-3?!!! Seriously…it’s as good as it gets. There’s already a in excellent condition thanks to Sonys and PlayStation 3’a excellent graphics and story telling. It’s been remastered already, and the trilogy for ps3 still looks great on 4k tv. Remastered even added an extra difficulty for trophy hunters, in addition to adding extra options for trigger inputs. It’s phenomenal. I’ve platinumed all 4 games, 1-3 on ps3 and ps4 both; also platinumed Lost legacy. Beat 1-3 on brutal.
They already remade Saints Row ~ into a reboot that was dogshit. A lot of the good games that deserve remakes/reboots are being held & locked away by companies because they don’t know what to do with them.
Been playing that one on my phone with AetherSX2. They would need to keep the pursuit AI EXACTLY as it was, because at higher levels it was GLORIOUSLY brutal.
Amazing list gameranx! Vagrant Story, Xenogears and RA2 in particular for me. But my #1 wasn't on the list: a Final Fantasy 12 remake. I know the remaster was super solid, but I want more: new engine & graphics + some additional content. One of my most loved games of all time. UE5 with all the light bouncing off the sand.. and FRAN! Tenchu. It was the first 3D stealth game, beating out even MGS by about half a year. Since then the genre has been vastly improved and a reboot that reflects that would be something I'd definitely be happy to see. Sure we have a fair share of videogame ninjas now but not really in the stealth genre surprisingly enough

@@RatedMforMatt-ure I sadly missed it. I did play KotOR on my Xbox and later the Dragon Age games but completely missed Jade Empire until I stumbled upon it some years ago. I have it on EA launcher but not sure how well it runs now. I did manage to play a decent amount on there but the controls are a bit awkward on PC I think and overall a bit stiff. A remaster would really benefit the game I think.
Vagrant Story is to this day one of my top 5 games of all time. Imagine a full-on remake like FF7R. But I would settle for a remaster with modernized controls, imho the semi-turnbased style of the game is part of its charm.
Mafia 2 should get a remake. It needed the remake treatment for the Mafia Trilogy to be perfection because Mafia 1's remake shared Mafia 3's art style and game design. Mafia 2 would have benefited from the improvements.

Zoochosis exist but yeah would be mindblowing if someones gonna make the game then they should include dynamic body deformity that is unique every single time and an ai that are cunning when it comes to assimilating also it should be a sandbox with rich replayibility value since the map gonna be easier to make. Immersion will make this hypothetical game a great experience if made in vr as well.

The problem with transformers games is, they always design the levels with shitty scale. The robots are supposed to be 30 ft tall, yet the levels are no different than the scale of gears of war it something. You never feel like you're actually a large robot

The Evil Within series is criminally under-rated. The mindbending and dark storyline was a very fresh take from the usually clichéd and B-movie type story in Resident Evil.

@@kileak6 Couldn't agree more. I can't play classical JRPGs anymore. The turn based combat in them is just deep as a puddle in the vast majority of them, especially in this day and age, to make sure it's accessible to the widest possible audience. Attack -> enemy. Health item -> friendly. Magic -> enemy. Repeat for half or more of your total playtime. Bo-oo-ring.
LotD is one I can always return to though.
Not saying it has the deepest combat either, because it doesn't. You can pretty much spam the basic "defend" and "attack" and make it through most of the game that way, other than maybe a couple notable bosses (particularly the optionals). Though you can get pretty tactical with it if you fully engage with the options available.
But the amount of interaction you get with the combat with combos and magic requiring your input to pull off effectively, almost a little like a rhythm game, makes it SO much more engaging. Especially because you unlock new combos all the way through the game unless you're power leveling.
To top it off, bar none, one of the best, most interesting stories, settings, and environments/atmosphere of any JRPG ever.

InFamous 1, 2 & Festival of Blood are my all time favorite PS3 games. I still can't get over the fact that this was the only series that didn't get a PS4 remaster like Uncharted, The Last of Us & God of War 3. I know SuckerPunch is busy working on the Ghosts of Tsushima sequel, but it's still not to late for them to make some improvements to the Infamous games. Just set the frame rate to 60fps & upscale them to 4K.

Yeah, I think there might be something weird going on behind the scenes with InFamous. I wonder if Marvel got mad about how InFamous is such a great superhero game, and takes a lot of inspiration from X-Men. I wonder if Marvel wanted Sucker Punch to make an X-Men game but they turned them down so they are pressuring Sony to not revisit the InFamous universe.
I know it's kind of a crazy conspiracy theory, but I can't understand why they heck Sony wouldn't remake some of their best games--and literally the some of the best superhero games ever made--for no reason.

Resident Evil 4 was my Grandpa's favourite videogame and he got me into gaming, we used to play it so much together when I was a kid, I wish he could experience this masterpiece with me again. So happy to know Resi 4 Remake is as amazing as I hoped it would be.

A few more I think deserve remakes are -- Star Control II, The Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 as one complete remake, the entire Colony Wars catalogue as one complete remake, Parasite Eve, Fire Pro Wrestling D (w an actual US release too)... Those would be pretty awesome imho.
Infamous was one of my favorite games at the time and I would gladly play it again. Same for Crackdown.

Early Saints Row and True Crime (NY & LA) would be awesome remakes. It's been so long that they deserve them. Plus sleeping dogs was a great game (developers of True Crime). So we already know the studio is capable of making a great open world GTA game on more modern hardware.

There’s already a in excellent condition thanks to Sonys and PlayStation 3’a excellent graphics and story telling. It’s been remastered already, and the trilogy for ps3 still looks great on 4k tv.
Remastered even added an extra difficulty for trophy hunters, in addition to adding extra options for trigger inputs. It’s phenomenal. I’ve platinumed all 4 games, 1-3 on ps3 and ps4 both; also platinumed Lost legacy. Beat 1-3 on brutal.
They already remade Saints Row ~ into a reboot that was dogshit.
A lot of the good games that deserve remakes/reboots are being held & locked away by companies because they don’t know what to do with them.

Amazing list gameranx! Vagrant Story, Xenogears and RA2 in particular for me. But my #1 wasn't on the list: a Final Fantasy 12 remake. I know the remaster was super solid, but I want more: new engine & graphics + some additional content. One of my most loved games of all time. UE5 with all the light bouncing off the sand.. and FRAN! Tenchu. It was the first 3D stealth game, beating out even MGS by about half a year.
Since then the genre has been vastly improved and a reboot that reflects that would be something I'd definitely be happy to see.
Sure we have a fair share of videogame ninjas now but not really in the stealth genre surprisingly enough

I did manage to play a decent amount on there but the controls are a bit awkward on PC I think and overall a bit stiff.
A remaster would really benefit the game I think.
Vagrant Story is to this day one of my top 5 games of all time. Imagine a full-on remake like FF7R. But I would settle for a remaster with modernized controls, imho the semi-turnbased style of the game is part of its charm.
Mafia 2 should get a remake. It needed the remake treatment for the Mafia Trilogy to be perfection because Mafia 1's remake shared Mafia 3's art style and game design. Mafia 2 would have benefited from the improvements.

Zoochosis exist but yeah would be mindblowing if someones gonna make the game then they should include dynamic body deformity that is unique every single time and an ai that are cunning when it comes to assimilating also it should be a sandbox with rich replayibility value since the map gonna be easier to make. Immersion will make this hypothetical game a great experience if made in vr as well.
