Bhaiya I need some guidance, I am in 12th rn and gave jan attempt on 27th S2 and got 96.59 %ile, was aiming for around 98-99, but unfortunately couldn't get, be it be lack of something in my prep, or a blunder by nta, but now I'm preparing for advanced, in parallel with mains by putting more focus on my weak topics, and aiming for a rank around 3k-5k, just enough to get a core branch in iitd or iitk, so am I on the right path or should I focus solely on the april attempt ? For advanced prep right now, I'm solving previous year papers year wise and preparing the weak topics accordingly.

this is true.i have spent hours persuading myself this point and finally now i have reached a point where i am at peace with my current preparation and can actually foresee how much i can improve in the remaining 30-40 days.i have realised that there is certainly more happiness in actually achieving something in present, (no matter how small the achievement is), rather than manifesting future achievements.

This is a very good video for majority jee aspirants not only for those who are scoring below 120 imo. I knew most of the things u told in the video deep inside but was living in false belief for the last few months . I knew that i can efficiently barely study for 4 - 5 hours a day at max but still set up goals for myself which take a lot more hard work. I even cheated in some of my mocks before first attempt because i was too afraid to face reality but not anymore. Currently scoring 150 + consistently, targetting full syllabus in chemistry and 40 marks in maths in second attempt .

This is the most relatable vid ....this is exactly how my jee mains 1 story went I scored 93.6%ile....but had expectations of 99%ile... As days became lesser for jee mains....my overthinking levels only exceeded. At one point , I set unachievable targets for myself ( like... writing 3 mock tests a day so tht my mock score increases , solving 200qs in tht same day...💀) I hve realised my mistakes....and preparing for jee mains 2 in a practical and sincere way. i scored 78 percentile in 1st attempt, targeting 93-94 percentile in second mains and i just need to qualify advanced. Nothing too out of my league. Even though i have covered all of my syllabus i was not able to score because of lack of revision,tests and i did not study at all. The only advice you need to hear is that you NEED TO STUDY MORE AND MORE. there's no shortcut to hardwork and that's where most of aspirants lack and so did I.
Mera bhi 76 percentile aya hai but targeting 98+ percentile. I know ki kafi unrealistic hai but I believe ki agar 98 Target karunga toh 92-95 tak aa jayenge

exactly bhaiya that's what most of the people do right now ,me myself had a target to get a score of 150 somehow in 1st attempt but due to the pressure of course completion i just wasted my drop year in lectures and stuff no question practice nothing but it was too late to realise anyways scored just 62 percentile, was in shock for like 2 days but after that promised myself to focus more on the practice and mocks still the target remains same 150+ in second attempt according to my limit it's the highest i can imagine and i seriously am working hard each and every day since then hope eveything goes fine !!

Started 11th with optimism , struggled but continued got around 70-80 in tests , 12th started and mid year , I felt I was unable to cope and manage everything so I left the jee preparation all together (major reason was that organic ka base nhi tha ....12th ki organic hi nhi pa Rahi thi , jb bhi socha ki clear kar lun some shit happened e.g. school test, family, my depression etc etc...) Got 57%ile in 29th shift 2 . Currently Giving boards ISC. During the past year I learned a lot , one of the key things being self control . I may lack any potential or talent but for the remainder of this journey, disciplined jarur rahunga ....
Very true haha i still remember me making a planner last year after first attempt to score 220 from 95 in first attempt and failed MISERABLY. And now i am scoring around 150 in my drop year , could have done a lot more , THEORETICALLY but i wasn't able to give the input it took

@@nilkamalbaruah9634 That's what every aspirant does, here's the rank deciding factors: 1) Theory 2) Question practice with time limit (i) If you answered it correctly, congrats (i) If you couldn't solve it, then first see where you did the mistake, if it's conceptual mistake, read theory again, if it's a new concept/formula then write it down in your short notes, if its a Calculatation/silly mistake then increase focus 3) Give mocks 4) Do that mock's analysis (i) For incorrect questions, analyse what went wrong there and if it's a conceptual mistake, read theory again and practice 5 more questions on that same topic and if it's a new concept/formula, note it down and practice 5 more questions on that new concept/formula and if it's calculation/silly mistake then increase concentration by meditation by 10 mins daily 4) For revision: Read short notes in 5-10 mins depending on the chap and practice atleast 30 questions on it from that chapter and those 30 questions must cover all the topics of that chapter 5) Revise the chapters every week Extra tip: While solving questions whether in exam or practicing, whenever you encounter a difficult question, mark it and revise it again when you revise that chapter after some time Hope it helps! ❤

100 percent true bhaiya Mere saath bhi yehi hua. I got approx 85 percentile but pre boards me above 93 percent the so I used to think ki jee hojayega easily. But luckily mere paas kuch log the who advised me that it's not possible to get a good rank after getting 85 percentile in first attempt. Isiliye ab boards pe focus hai and after it ends I'll take a drop year from competishun jaipur (I did self study btw for 2 years).

I am now in the same situation. I had solved some advanced problems of physics from Pathfinder also. But I got 92 %ile in main . Now I am unable to decide whether I should take drop or focus on adv. .So I decided to analyze next 15 days and to see if I work next year like these 15 days whether I can reach my dream rank or not. If I couldn't reach it I will focus on adv. or other exams

I scored 115 in jee mains first attempt, meri 27 jan shift 1. It couldn't get me any good percentile, it was just 84.53. I remember dreaming about going to IIT Delhi aur ab dikh raha hai ki first attempt ke baad jee adv ke liye qualify bhi nahi kar payungi. I am not a dropper therefore abhi boards bhi hai isliye abhi jee ki prep bhi nahi kar pa rahi hu because I don't wanna spoil my boards because of low percentile in jee mains. boards ke baad approx 20-25 days hi honge 2nd attempt ke liye prepare karne ke liye. I know my mistakes of jee mains first attempt, I will definately try to improve, but I also know ki competition bhi bahut zyada bad jayega. I don't know where I will be standing after everything, but I will be trying my best to achieve atleast 95 percentile above. As you have said, I hadn't yet created any list of chapters in which I can surely get 90 percent of the questions right and therefore, I got negative marking of about 13 marks in my first attempt just because I got overconfident. My plan will be to first start scoring 120 above and then graduallly increasing my score (about 5-10 marks atleast) of mock test after my boards. 1st attempt se pehle jab previous years papers ke mock test diye the tab score 130 above tak pauch gaya tha from about 60-70 marks in the starting. As I have experienced during the prep of my first attempt, if I do test analysis properly, I get to know about a lot of things. I can easily understand my strengths and weaknesses. I will start giving my mock tests, analyze them properly and then take my preparation to the right direction. I will revise the syllabus according to that itself. I don't know if this strategy would work or not. Please let me know if I am wrong.

1) Theory
2) Question practice with time limit
(i) If you answered it correctly, congrats
(i) If you couldn't solve it, then first see where you did the mistake, if it's conceptual mistake, read theory again, if it's a new concept/formula then write it down in your short notes, if its a Calculatation/silly mistake then increase focus
3) Give mocks
4) Do that mock's analysis
(i) For incorrect questions, analyse what went wrong there and if it's a conceptual mistake, read theory again and practice 5 more questions on that same topic and if it's a new concept/formula, note it down and practice 5 more questions on that new concept/formula and if it's calculation/silly mistake then increase concentration by meditation by 10 mins daily
4) For revision: Read short notes in 5-10 mins depending on the chap and practice atleast 30 questions on it from that chapter and those 30 questions must cover all the topics of that chapter
5) Revise the chapters every week
Extra tip: While solving questions whether in exam or practicing, whenever you encounter a difficult question, mark it and revise it again when you revise that chapter after some time

Mere saath bhi yehi hua. I got approx 85 percentile but pre boards me above 93 percent the so I used to think ki jee hojayega easily. But luckily mere paas kuch log the who advised me that it's not possible to get a good rank after getting 85 percentile in first attempt. Isiliye ab boards pe focus hai and after it ends I'll take a drop year from competishun jaipur (I did self study btw for 2 years).

I am know working very hard especially in NCERT (Boards) as well as mains
I have target 99%ile+ It seems like a Unrealistic goal but the fields I see for improvements are very large and I am also working towards It!

10 months ago I would tell everybody that I will CLEAR JEE and also get a RANK 1000 in KCET which are highly highly highly IMPRACTICAL for me bcoz I would waste my whole day Watching UA-cam, Online Games etc...
From 10th I was staying in Saviour depression bcoz this impractical goals....

Bhaiya thank you again I gave a mock test (which was basically scheduled I gave with the intent of scoring only 120 and that really working I got 85 moreover it's not about the marks its about the lesson pressure we take before the exam is actually killing our actual potential...my highest mock score was 50 till now even though complete 60+ chps but today I focused only on 120marks ... Made few silly mistakes will cover them and improve more 💪

mein is video se bahut relate kr paya i started my sincere preparation from 1 dec 1st mock 27/300 i watched one of your video where you told ki ki jiske less than 80marks aa rahe hain usse 36chapter ki list bana kr target krna chahiye and i did i improve from 27/300(1dec) to 133/200 (25 jan) and got 96.92 percentile in jan attempt (130/200) than i started targeting for april attempt 200+ but i was not able to improve got 93 in mocks less than previous marks i was stressed demotivated kuch nhi kr pa rha tha pura feb kuch nhi hua because of unrealistic target now this video hit me and i realised why i was unable to improve thank u bhaiya

My syllabus coverage was like 40% and I got an 83%ile..I'm completing all my syllabus and think i can do 200+ in second attempt..i believe its realistic if we don't underestimate the power of our mind

My story is similar i scored 65% last year and then wasted next 2-3 months in other exams like bitsat comedk and then took drop and scored 96% this year
But later i realised the value of those 3 months, i could have score 98-99 percentile in 1st attempt if i didnt wasted those 3 months and started my drop year early

I am now in the same situation. I had solved some advanced problems of physics from Pathfinder also. But I got 92 %ile in main . Now I am unable to decide whether I should take drop or focus on adv. .So I decided to analyze next 15 days and to see if I work next year like these 15 days whether I can reach my dream rank or not. If I couldn't reach it I will focus on adv. or other exams

I scored 115 in jee mains first attempt, meri 27 jan shift 1. It couldn't get me any good percentile, it was just 84.53.
I remember dreaming about going to IIT Delhi aur ab dikh raha hai ki first attempt ke baad jee adv ke liye qualify bhi nahi kar payungi. I am not a dropper therefore abhi boards bhi hai isliye abhi jee ki prep bhi nahi kar pa rahi hu because I don't wanna spoil my boards because of low percentile in jee mains. boards ke baad approx 20-25 days hi honge 2nd attempt ke liye prepare karne ke liye.
I know my mistakes of jee mains first attempt, I will definately try to improve, but I also know ki competition bhi bahut zyada bad jayega.
I don't know where I will be standing after everything, but I will be trying my best to achieve atleast 95 percentile above. As you have said, I hadn't yet created any list of chapters in which I can surely get 90 percent of the questions right and therefore, I got negative marking of about 13 marks in my first attempt just because I got overconfident.
My plan will be to first start scoring 120 above and then graduallly increasing my score (about 5-10 marks atleast) of mock test after my boards. 1st attempt se pehle jab previous years papers ke mock test diye the tab score 130 above tak pauch gaya tha from about 60-70 marks in the starting.
As I have experienced during the prep of my first attempt, if I do test analysis properly, I get to know about a lot of things. I can easily understand my strengths and weaknesses. I will start giving my mock tests, analyze them properly and then take my preparation to the right direction. I will revise the syllabus according to that itself.
I don't know if this strategy would work or not. Please let me know if I am wrong.
