Hi Elle, this is fang - i doubt you remember me but I'm your college granddaughter! thanks so much making videos like these. at times when things feel overwhelming, it's so helpful to be reminded that there's one more person out there who's been through the same (or similar) things you're going through at the moment
Salam Alaikum, Bonjour, Guten Tag, Hola Elle!!! 😀 I just loved this video. Because you reviewed all 12 papers. But don't you think that the Oxford University Law degree should have a choice of an extra 2 optional papers? Because Roman Law, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law and Tort Law can be offered in Year 1. With Year 2, Contract Law, Land Law, Administrative Law, Trusts Law and Jurisprudence Law. ...and the final Year 3 papers being European Union Law and 4 optional papers. I would choose Taxation Law, Employment Law, Labour Law and Copyright, Trademarks and Allied Rights. Then I would certainly apply for BA Law at Oxford, but it is also true, Oxford have a much better choice of optional papers than Cambridge University. I might see you at St. John''s College in October 2028 if accepted?
With the reading list being so long + so many cases, how did you make condensed notes etc ? I try but there’s just so many cases ( some don’t even appear on the reading list, but just in the textbook) 😭
Thank you for this video! What would you say to someone who is going to start their Oxford Law degree this October? How can I prepare? I am also going to Worcester. I am so nervous!! :)
Aw that is so exciting!! First of all, massive congratulations. I would say expect to feel like you’re drowning the first few weeks and know that it’s absolutely normal (I don’t say that to put you off at all, only so that you don’t worry if you struggle!!). I would also say that it’s so important to build a good relationship with your tutors and you should never ever be afraid to just send them an email and ask for a meeting if things get a bit tough - usually Leah is the tutor ‘in charge’ of 1st years and she is the absolute sweetest person ever. Also make the most of your college parents!! They will be so happy to help you out. Above all, be kind to yourself and (in order to do this) be strict with yourself - make sure you dedicate time to not studying and stick to it!
Hi! I condensed my notes and then just tried to plan lots of past problem questions and essays. It ended up being my highest scoring subject but I found it so so hard!! I really found just going back to basics important since I realised that actually I’d misunderstood some of the fundamentals and then once i had all of that straight the rest seemed easier!
I really like this information, I need your assistance, if you don't mind please can I have a personal private discussion concerning the study of Law with you?

Of course I remember you! I’ll be at law dinner tonight if you’re going? You’ve got this - TT second year is really tough but you’re so close!
