I found your double sided angelo & diablo
Why is tahu stuck in the gelatinous cube
@@null6857 He wanted to get a closer look at those gells
I've watched this video twice now and the transforming related bits are inappropriate since the share the same parent company.
If they ever release a Mimic, I will personally go and shake Hasbro’s hand and give them a Thank You. And then proceed to waste all my money on it
Actually I think there is one
There is
They did he is showing off Gen 1/2 they are now on Gen…5?
There is
There is. It’ll be in wave 3
Not gonna lie a toy that also functions as an actual d20 is an interesting concept.
“function” is a strong word. as was said in the video, they’re very unbalanced. this essentially makes them either not worth using as they skew to a low number or a way to intentionally cheat because they tend to land on higher numbers.
@@sliceofpuddingit would be hard math, but it actually would be really interesting if certain monsters had certain rolls more likely for them to represent their power difference.
Beastbox is a pretty recent Chinese toy line that transforms into a cube, not much histroy but still interesting designs.
HAIL YEA BEAST BOX
I love the crab ones!!!
White Noise is my favorite!
yeah ive seen them and their secondary lines
Beast Bix is dope. Got a angler fish one and a godzilla guy. They rip
“I made up one of those names. And it wasn’t Melf.” Was it short sword?
Correct!
If I remember correctly, they already announced that they are going to be working on a Mimic one that can close its mouth, basically making it a d20, a chest, and a Mimic.
Tiamat and Bahamut would be amazing to have as Dicelings. Especially since they can be used as miniatures of their Aspects.
Fun fact, the LJN toys actually appear on and off in D&D proper.
Most recently, (as far as I know) They appear as a pretty major plot point in the 5E adventure "Wild Beyond the witchlight"
Continuing the comparison to Bakugan, they could do larger, more complex monsters like Tiamat using a combiner set the same way Bakugan does (or ... did - I haven't paid much attention to Bakugan since my nephews grew out of it and I stopped working at Toys R Us 13 years ago... I have no idea if that's still a thing) and considering they've already got two chromatically themed dragons with at least one more on the way, I don't see why they couldn't design a larger figure that incorporates the existing dragons into a Tiamat combiner.
On a different note, if these Dicelings really take off, it would be fun to see the company do a limited run of Stranger Things themed Dicelings, specifically focusing on the Upside Down monsters. Given how integral D&D branding is to the show's characters and plot points, it would be a perfect cross promotion to hype up Season 5. Heck, considering the toys, they already have a perfect built-in tag line, "Stranger Things, Season 5, rolls out [insert date] on Netflix!"
Or maybe the Tiamat diceling could be a combiner set made up of an entire dice set
D20 d12 d10 d8 d6 d4
The smaller die being the heads while the d20 is the main body perhaps
@@xavierwoodard5029 That's a very interesting idea; I could see that working.
I’m thinking maybe the weird weight distribution in the d20 form could be integrated in the core game by making them part of some special effect like a cursed blade that lets you use them instead of a normal dice in exchange of hp or something. Also nat20 wouldn’t count as critical rolls. Kinda like how in Mario party different characters have different chances on their dice
I like this, if I ever had friends to play DND with I'd use this
Fun fact: Melf is one of the oldest dnd characters in the game's history. Creator of the spell Melf's acid arrow and whose name literally comes from Male Elf.
Moblile Suit Gundam has a very similar toy to these. They all start out as Haro(Gundam Mascot) then convert to tiny Gundam suits
Oh!
Yeah I loves those, I got the zaku
Godzilla and Ultraman have figures that turn into eggs.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio i knew about the Godzilla ones but not the ultra man ones
What really! Huge Gundam fan, but all my Gundam toys are in storage, never got the model kits(would love to try tho lol) but that transforming haro...yes please
This makes me kinda excited to see JettKuso playing D&D or any RPG.
I mean, the Bakugan can make neat monsters or stuff, specially with a collection THAT big.
If you ever play D&D, you should play a Battle Smith Artificer and have your steel defender companion be a Bakugan that you can throw onto the battlefield to summon.
The beholder while simple i enjoy the most due to its simplicity, also something that could make some good customs from. This displacer looks good and a mimic while probaly having a complex transforma.... conversion to become a chest would be cool heck maybe ditch the chest and have a mimic be the dice itself.
also also bakugan melee i might have away to have geogan fit. how they would work is each player has 1 geogan and to use it drop it on a card. if the geogan lands and opens acting as a obstacle and the atributte the geogan has lets say darkus the darkus number on the gate card would get the extra BP from the geogan so if its gate card of 100 darkus but a geogan of 300 BP the total bonus would be 400 for darkus only. once a battle is over the geogan win or lose goes is discarded.
theres probably details that need to be worked out but i liked the idea of having away to put obstacles in the game to maybe encourage different roll styles
I’m real glad that you’re branching out Jett 😎 I love bakugan as much as the next fella but your presentation and editing have something about it that I like, keep it up man
I got a Rakor diceling a few months ago. It was a bit confusing for me to fold it back up so I just keep it in the dice form to fidget with. May pick up that blue Beholder from wave 2 if I see it on store shelves.
These are a pretty cool idea and I do hope the line keeps expanding.
Give me a bugbear, bugbears would look super goofy in this style.
And a golem, like an iron golem! A perfect fit, you could even sorta use it as a miniature, have it be inactive and then whip out the transformed state when it starts to lay down the hurt.
Honestly the comparison to Bakugan is surface level at best
Considering the lack of any magnetisation, spring-loaded auto-transformation, or accompanying game system, these have a lot more in common with those old transforming toys from the 90s - 2000s that turned into rocks that I forget the name of now
Rock lords? thats more like transformers imo, actually, theyre part of the transformers line now. The dicelings are an odd like middle ground between a bakugan and transformer
This video production quality is amazing btw
This is the ultimate cross between Dungeons&Dragons, Bakugan, and Dungeon Dice Monsters (from _Yu-Gi-Oh!)_
These are pretty cool to see since I'm a huge transformers fan, and since both are made by Hasbro it's neat to see other series sort of kind of get the Transformers treatment
Likewise!
I have the orange beholder, and based on how the 20 has a raised bubble, it makes it almost impossible to roll a 1. The diceling just wont settle on that domed surface if it has anu kind of momentum. But it is still a great little fidger toy. Not to mention being a perfect melting pot of my love of tranafirmers, d&d, and my favourite colour (orange)
I hope next video will feature Jett with a full length wizard beard to compliment the rest of his wizardy garb
Absolutely love these things! Have gone completionist on the two waves that have come out so far and have yet to be disappointed by them (though the Beholder isn't as fun as the others, in my opinion). Favorites so far are the dragons and the Displacer Beast, looking forward to the Mimic they're doing in Wave 3. 👀 Also, excited to see you branching out a bit and getting some sweet, sweet merch from ol' Hasbro.
i'm simple, i'd LOVE a False Hydra diceling
Maybe there already IS a false hydra Diceling and you already forgot?
@@JettKuso good point
Never would I imagine hearing a high pitched version of through the fire and flames.
your subscriber call to subscribe portion actually made me realize that despite me watching tons of your videos, i was somehow not subscribed
Thick and chunky is a good dragon shape
I got the beholder and the mimic today and the mimic is really cleverly designed!
Could be interesting if they made some that convert into other dice shapes besides the D20.
Gelatinous cube d6
@@JettKuso you unfold it, then keep folding it until it's a cube again. Simple, elegant, repeatable for as many variants as they please.
Really appreciate the dragonforce in the intro
Since the Mimic is already a thing, id really like an Intellect Devourer or a Roper/Piercer
The dice one isn't a ripp off because it can just be a mimic mimicking a dice.
Not sure if it was planned this way but the “my god” was perfectly timed for an ad break.
It will be fun to see my party as monster dice
5:28 Bugbears are also in D&D
I feel like the best idea they missed out on was the idea of teasing a functional giant D20 that happened to be in this line on april 1st, and then the day after reveal that it's actually a mimic specifically shaped into a D20 rather than just a d20 that could be converted into the basic treasure chest mimic.
G
Amplay wise they just seem like be fun ti use as enemy minis have it in its dice form on the map in the boss room then reveal its true form when they finly attack it
WE NEED A MIMIC OF ONE OF THESE!!
Shoutout to the “Through the Fire & Flames” intro song! #loveit 👍🏻
They did hit the nail designing this toys & specially taht movie, very entertaining
cool stuff keep it up
I got the displacer beast today!
Imagine a mimic diceling transformi- CONVERTING into it’s own diceform, but with a face
An assistant running my D&D has one of these!
I love Bakugan but it didn't cross my mind when I saw the Dicelings now that you bring it up I love them even more and want a purple mind flayer
It would be a crime to not include a diceling flumph
that orange is my fav !
Damn he warned up about the wizard arch but now it's here and I for one welcome it.
I'd love a Remorhaz diceling. Those things are super underrated
I want a Huge Giant Crab. That's legit the only monster I'd buy a diceling of. I found it roughly a year ago when I was looking for Beasts to Polymorph into and have been obsessed with it ever since
Jett is awesome 😎
Hey I just saw them at. Target yesterday.
i wanted to die when you called that owl bear a bugbear
I looked on amazon and they do have a mimic
It was announced after I wrote this script lol
A terrasque diceling will be amazing
Yo the video opened up with my ringtone
Fun Fact: MIMIC IS HERE AND HE IS COMING FOR YOU
I think the target demographic for these toys is "Anyone who will buy them" Hasbro knows that *toys* are generally marketed to and sell best with children, at least traditionally, but now that generations of children who grew up with toys are becoming adults interested in collecting things for nostalgic reasons, that sort of shifts the "overton window" of target demographics for toys, especially when it's attached to a slightly-mature TTRPG franchise like Dungeons and Dragons.
Wait where do i get the mimic chest and gelatinous cube? those where the coolest parts
the cube edit is a 10/10
Would the dicelings work well as miniatures in a D&D session? Personally, I see the dice aspect as a package to unwrap, similar to those sandstone blocks that have a little treasure chest or a fossil hidden inside. The main difference being that you can rewrap the toy again afterwards.
It'd be cool if they made a massive Terrasque diceling. I think intellect devourer, pit fiend, orc, minotaur, and kobold dicelings would also be cool. It'd also be nice if they made some metallic dragon dicelings.
Could you do gormiti? I got some here in canada and I don't know what they are or what to do with them...
Oh hey the Dicelings video you mentioned as I got side tracked in the (was it Bdaman or was it Bionical) video
Also I am now waiting for my green dragon and ai will be happy
5:27 I think you owe Neil Cicierega royalties
If i wanted to comment, what monster i would like to see as a diceling, i would list an entire monster manual
OMG I REMEMBER YOU TELLING ME ABOUT THESE
As you enter the room you see a large 20 sided shape in the middle. There are cracks and hinges all over it's surface. What do you do?
These are closer to Transformers (a brand Hasbro _also_ owns) than to Bakugan. Speaking as someone who has loosely followed Bakugan since shortly after it started back in G1, pre-2010. These aren't spring-loaded, set off by magnets attaching to metal plates secreted away inside special playing cards. They have to be manually transformed by hand, and they have more articulation and poseablility than Bakugan ever did, or ever _will_ have.
If you notice, I actually talk about them in the video and make more points than the video title does.
I'm eyeing that displacer beast diceling like "Ravage, initiate operation: Natural 20"
"They all wants it! They wants the
Doh-Dekolicious!"
-Fry
Seems later waves are going heavy on repaints, but that's understandable with the dragons at least
Really the only part I’m mad about is the de chonked themberchaud
the chonky dragon from D&D I've officially named him "pudgy the chonk chomp"
Through the fire and flames perfection
when i first saw these my head went into a campain where you can encounter these in a cave and if you wake them they try to kill you but i you wait for them to wake up you can make them your pets and use the dice form for not only defensive but also offensive menovers
Hasbro: These aren't Bakugans
Bakugan: are you fricking kidding me
I NEED THE BOT SHOT VIDEO
I immediately thought about weight distribution
I think that they are more like transformers because they share the same engineering as transformers and the same company makes both toys
Hasbro when they don't know what to make for a toy "what if it transformed?"
If they would release a flying slime thing, I’d waste all my money on that alone
Man, Hasbro really do be designing and painting these like it was the last thing they did, and on the other side my boy Beybalde Burst got those aberrations they called Quaddrive
They should have mimic dicelings with a coupon sticker in it’s mouth for another free diceling packed inside a box for other creatures, so people expect to get a dragon and instead were the 1 out of 1000 to get a mimic but don’t feel bad about the unexpected different toy and get a free replacement
you could totally just use these as miniatures for the tabletop game, honestly
I gotta buy em all now
Hey remember when I said I like these but not $20 Canadian like these? I bought two and they are awesome! White Dragon is awesome but the clear Diplacer Beast is kinda loose and all transparent plastic 😬
If those had the magnetic i wouldnt mind on buying the beholder one and transforming it into a fakegan just to play
Get the funko pop Themerchaud if you want a thick one
It's probably a good idea that they didn't implement a self opening mechanic as that would make them wanted for in person games so much that they would be out of stock frequently
I'd love to see a Terrasque
I'm surprised Nintendo didn't do this with pokeballs
hi quick question do u sell any of ur bakugan? also where do u buy ur bakugan from ?
There should be a Diceling set that acts like Bakugan, but shoots a Tiny 20 sided dice just for funsies (Like Bakugan did)
There is a third wave that includes a Brown Owlbear, Illusion Displacer Beast, Green Dragon, and a Mimic
Makes the best vids
Flumph diceling. I'd die a happy man.
YES
