jeff loomis is one my fav because of how tasteful he is at shredding. yes, its incredibly fast and articulate but its also very beautiful for heavy metal.
I've heard some of the fastest, blistering, heaviest guitar instrumentals a person could ever dream of. This is different. This is real. This is Elegant. This has class. This is RIGHT...
I can't get myself looking at something else while this video is playing Jeff is one of my favourite guitarists Amazing sense and soul And performance is great
@ChewyCervantes I think it's fair to say that most of us have probably started on cheaper guitars. I started in the 80's playing on a Hohner Scorpion. I too was able to get pretty good since I sat in my dorm room for hours a day raking through scales. Then I splurged on a real guitar... what a world of difference. These days, even cheaper guitars have decent quality. But in all seriousness, Jeff Loomis' skill is among a handful on earth. It's as fun to watch him play as it is listen to him.
No question about it, Jeff doesn't just rip it up, he swallows it and shits it out. Hands down he's one of the best shredders you'll ever see. Hats off to Jeff.
Jeff Loomis is a fucking genius. He's the Will Hunting of guitar. He can pull off the craziest solos and licks you've ever seen with extreme precision and speed, but he can also create some of the best damn riffs for rhythm guitar.
What you don't know is that Jeff played this again but with his hands tied behind his back. The awesome killed everyone there and UA-cam deemed the footage too dangerous for the internet.
@franksavageryan Jeff said that the guitar you buy to Schecter is EXACTLY the same as his guitar. He said that his guitar was made in the same factory.
@VegetativePropaganda Yeah but you know what I meant, for the ridiculous difficulty of this song, Jeff almost makes no mistakes. There are a couple in the arpeggio section and some off-bends here and there but it's still pretty fucking clean. Anyways, Jeff is awesome :-)
@TheAKGp0wer Yes, I'm an idiot because I made a joke about the equipment versus the talent to use the tools. Apologies around to those who think buying this guitar will improve your skill!
You cant learn to play like this, you are born with this talent.I dont usually like "shredders" like him. But,there is so much melody in his playing that he trandcends his genre of music.Amazing!!!
Wrong. Talent is a myth. It's all hard work. Muscle memory is the key to this and the only way to achieve that is by practicing the runs until they are second nature.
@@chrisking6695 Technical ability doesn't automaticly mean you can write meaningful music. Honestly though, some learn much faster than others wich can be confused as talent. I have worked in music stores for 2 decades + and some regulars never really develope much if at all. I think some just want to think themselves as musicians while not ready or capable to put in the work to improve.
execelente grabacion, y execelentisimo sonido de jeff..en momentos me parece que escucho a cacophony pero con el fondo bien pesado eso cambia totlamente, bien perro, up the fucking metal¡¡¡ excelent recording, and excellent guitarist, great song for jeff, sometimes i thing that a listen cacophony but the backup sound its to heavy and that change everything, its fucking great, up the fucking metal¡¡¡
@BbEbAbDbGbBbEb No videos, there's a CD he recorded when he and Marty Friedman was with Cacophony. The most noted song I can think of is on their first CD called "Speed Metal Symphony". It's the best guitar work to date, and it was made in 1986 when Becker was only 17. Friedman was 22 or something like that. Also, Matt Heafy and Corey Beaulieu of Trivium are 2 amazing guitarists. The fastest are Chris Storey and Rusty Cooley.
@Den1sVengeance ... as a heart attack. I play out fairly regularly but admit without hesitation that I am smoked by Loomis or even those guitarists that do half of those sweeped arpeggios. I agree that practice is key but there is also that God given talent gift thing for which I have sadly been overlooked and Loomis got more than 99.9999%. But yeah, I have 2 of his guitars and they took some getting used to. The things are baseball bats and not for people with small hands. Cheers!
@nemtall Per day? When I got out of high school I spent about 4 years playing somewhere around 12 hours a day, and I was probably at about 80-85% of that. So... all of them? All of the hours? lol
jeff loomis is one my fav because of how tasteful he is at shredding. yes, its incredibly fast and articulate but its also very beautiful for heavy metal.

The Jason Becker influence couldn't be clearer with that intro.
MY CAT HEARD THIS SONG ........ NOW IS A LION
Monster guitar player alert!!!! ....impressive!!!
I like when my brain gets musically shagged and still has enough energy to have a good smoke at the end.
Thanks. Mr. Loomis.
Incredibly clean playing, wow.
whenever i watch this guy play it makes me want a seven string more and more
Loomis kicks ass! Simply put.
Wow, that's beautifully hypnotic.
kill me! but i there's a bit of jason becker, marty friedman&cacophony in these wonderful chemical mixtures made by Loomis!
anahowana a lot !!
i completely agree i hear it all the time
I can't get myself looking at something else while this video is playing
Jeff is one of my favourite guitarists
Amazing sense and soul
And performance is great
Even with all of this amazing technical skill, he is such a nice guy! Met him twice!

It looks like me playing random notes as fast as I can, but he's actually playing the coolest guitar solo song ever made.
Nice to hear wicked shredding
Get a better username.
Trump=Hitler.
jeff loomis is fucking crazy.hope to shred like him in the near future.take a while lol
No question about it, Jeff doesn't just rip it up, he swallows it and shits it out. Hands down he's one of the best shredders you'll ever see. Hats off to Jeff.
The Real KING
Because the sheer awesomeness of the thing makes the neck muscles move automatically. Or is it just me?
I cant picture a scenario where a person would come to this video and unlike it

What you don't know is that Jeff played this again but with his hands tied behind his back. The awesome killed everyone there and UA-cam deemed the footage too dangerous for the internet.

Damn you Jeff!!!... You know i'll never be able to play this, and if i do, by the time i learn it. I'll be damn near hitting 65.. LoL!
Easily the modern day Guitar God.
Correction: Jason Becker (because he's still alive)
@Pulsuhundur you mean, goodbye life, hello pure awesomeness
I love the improv at 4:07 to 4:20
And arthritic lol
Jeff loomis teach me! please!
@franksavageryan No you have to buy the burgundy one to play better..it says it on his website and how to play like loomis book.
Lie Down. Try Not To Cry. Cry A Lot....
@zurgoku Engl Powerball, plus a Ibanez Tube Screamer 9.
@franksavageryan Jeff said that the guitar you buy to Schecter is EXACTLY the same as his guitar. He said that his guitar was made in the same factory.
Mega Zoom Camera.
Jeff deserves a bloody high five or two
@xwolbx You should check out "Jeff Loomis Wisconsin Guitar Wars" it's a guitar contest entry when he was 16. He is definitely that fast at 16 :P
Oh my god.. its posible
@F4TB0Y69 All of them are this color. Only option is the FR or Hardtail.
@comesolito456 they can, but after a while it just gets boring to stick in the pentatonic box, so they expand
SHIT THAT WAS AWESOME IM GONNA GO FUCKING PRACTICE NOW
so jason becker like most of that!
@MacMarytahu 2:48 One guy cries for how beautiful it sounds :' )
@VegetativePropaganda Yeah but you know what I meant, for the ridiculous difficulty of this song, Jeff almost makes no mistakes. There are a couple in the arpeggio section and some off-bends here and there but it's still pretty fucking clean. Anyways, Jeff is awesome :-)
@TheAKGp0wer Yes, I'm an idiot because I made a joke about the equipment versus the talent to use the tools. Apologies around to those who think buying this guitar will improve your skill!
I wish I could play 1/1000 of what he can...

@xwolbx You should check out Jeff soloing for a competition at his website jeffloomisdotcom at only 16 years old. He was also wicked fast very young.
lol th guy @ 2:53 is wiping away his tears. he know he is not worthy.
@Behemoth941 LOL! That's it! I didn't buy the book too! The secret must be the magical combination of the two! Woe is me...
@crockmister headbanging is the only form of "dancing" that is appropriate for this!
the new james hetfield 1.14s are my new fav. metallica aside, they're a great shredder pick. feel of a regular tortex with the tip of a jazz pick.
just by watching this my fingers broke :[
Here my soul broke.
Rusty is so fast, but he's not as musical as the likes as Loomis >.
@Den1sVengeance ... as a heart attack. I play out fairly regularly but admit without hesitation that I am smoked by Loomis or even those guitarists that do half of those sweeped arpeggios. Why is he not with Satriani's G3?
@thec8 what?
that is one lucky crowd..
3:23 - Speedhacking irl
@nemtall Per day? When I got out of high school I spent about 4 years playing somewhere around 12 hours a day, and I was probably at about 80-85% of that.
So... all of them? All of the hours? lol
Why compare two different musicians? They're both good in their own right.
@franksavageryan if its the tone you are talking about then you have to buy a Engl amp, dunno what's the model tough :)
jason becker would be proud
I wanna learn this song badly too bad i aint a demi god, i am just human
@xwolbx Miss understood, Dont have a stroke.
