I saw this man live with Soilwork, got passes to meet him, shook his hand, took a picture, got a t shirt autographed. Needless to say he is a very nice guy and a fucking God among men.
On guitar, Jeff Loomis can do no wrong.

Man is the best, not one of the best!! Check the fantastic albums by Nevermore the Dead Heart of the Dead World anf the Dreaming Neon Black and listen the riffs and solo guitar on these two albums, the best riffs and solos ever created!!
@@thimpap4564 Shred is pretty boring. Good execution, but gets old quick. I prefer a deep, meaningful lead. Information overload is just unpleasant. I like Iommi's style. I still whistle Sabbath riffs constantly.
How he includes the palm muted harmonics or w.e. it is at 0:32 is just icing on the badass riffcake, Jeff Loomis is the almight guitar god.

No. He just sat down and practiced. I don't understand why so many are so fucking pathetic and think that they aren't capable of great things. You have a brain and every brain can form connections. It takes a mere 5 minutes for your brain to build connections when you learn a new task. So imagine how many connections you can form when you actually sit down and practice.
@@chrisking6695 first: watch your language. Second: you must be really young and thinking this way. If you calm down you will lear and understand things not always happens like you think. And you have to learn not to take everything too seriously...

Rafael Tsahouridis I agree; I wish my chops were a 0.25 as good as his. I enjoy playing though. He is extremely good.

holy shit, his flow even during the improvised solo is just mindblowing and how he ripps this damn hard riff at 1:58 kills me! you guys cant imagine how difficult this riff is exspecially on his guitar cause the damn frets are so f*cking huge! though my fingers are large aswell but damn its still so hard to play it so clean and with such a flow, just wow, what a guitar player!
lmfao that riff is not difficult at all. That is actually one of the easy parts of the song. And tall frets are super easy to play because you have less wood under your fingers reducing friction.

Right here is why Loomis absolutely destroys all other metal guitar players. One great example among many where he incinerates the fretboard.

comparing guitarists is like comparing basketball player to football player (both are using the ball). There is no the best guitarist or something like that, each of them has its own style of playing, Loomis, Hendrix, Friedman, Vai, Mustaine, Page, etc. Unique style of playing made them famous and no one is worse or better than other one.
