Very 1st time I heard these guys. I thought Chris was a Black Man. His voice sounded like a Soul type of a singer. Like a Jazz guy! Then I remembered Temple Of the Dog! Damn what a Band and a Singer! To think he was there Drummer! Wow!
Call me crazy, but listen carefully to 2.10 when he sings "I'm feeling like I'm sober" and you can hear him rip out a fart. I'm not judging the guy...if I tried to sing like that I'd probably shit my pants
It’s almost comparing apples and oranges and asking which is better. They’re both amazing in their own respect, but to compare them isn’t right as they each do something a bit different. Chris and Layne were both great, but they sang differently and while they were both grunge, AIC and Soundgarden were different bands. I’ll go thru phases of listening to both of them. They’re both in my top 5 along with Scott Weiland.
