As someone with hundreds of hours spent in the first Space Engineers, I want something more out of this game than just "better smoother construction/destruction". There genuinely needs to be a reason to design and produce ships or bases. Give the player motivations to create cool things but then TO USE THEM IN THE GAME in a meaningful way. Anyway, best of luck Keen!
Jumping in early to say that the only mode available right now is creative. There's no tutorial, no story, no gameplay, no progression, or any other reason to play the game beyond "I'm a SE1 veteran and already know how the building system works." It puts you in a sandbox and you can poke around for 20 minutes before you realize there's nothing to actually do. That being said, it runs, looks, and handles really well. If you're a new player, the game is NOT in a state for you right now - it's a tech demo only and offered as a way for them to collect money for further development. Maybe this is obvious for some people who see "Alpha" in the title, but that's not everyone.
@@Kevin-mo1xk game is also capped at 60fps atm. The game will render more fps if you have vsync off but won't show you those frames. I can run it at 200fps easily but its still choppy looking and does not feel good on the mouse movements. Not an issue if your monitor is a 60hz though. But if your refresh rate is more than 60 just be aware it may not look good.
Not 100% sure how much the money aspect is correct, but they definitely wanted more input from players, and it looks to be a good idea considering they've already changed their mind on several aspects. Going to wait for survival or multiplayer to be implemented first before I pick it up myself. :o
READ WHAT YOU BUY!! This release is an Alpha which is very early stage in development!! so don't get upset when the content is not there YET. So wait a while to buy the game, you can go read the timeline of what content will be released.
Nobody cares. Its out. Its available. Its released. And its empty. It will be judged at face value regardless what the devs call it, alpa, beta, theta or zeta. Refunded, with a ruined opinion of the game.
I got the alpha build of Space Engineers when that came out and I was still in secondary school. Now, I am 25, going to university so I am excited for when I can buy this and experience it all over again.
@CrimsonEsso There are some who say that, yes. But this is ultimately caused by false expectations fueled by a lack if knowledge on their part. The devs have clearly stated numerous times that this is a super early alpha release, and that anyone who wants more than a "minimum viable product" should hold off on buying, until the game is further along in its development. But to answer your question, I've seen a lot of positive feedback, both on the subreddit, and among the content creators covering the game.
I’d honestly be so happy if we got some sort of “open world system” that actually had a significant NPC presence. That said I realize it’s unlikely but it would be pretty damn cool if there was a default system with some cities, stations, more ship traffic, and most importantly, non player characters. The NPC thing is probably my biggest wish for a new game (I know it’s unlikely).
There are plans for a storyline involving two brothers who have traveled to the system, and find factions already established there. It's all set up in separate releases so they can keep testing the limits of the new engine. Keen breaks it all down leading up to alpha release.
SE1 is still being developed while a separate team is working on SE2. So SE1 is still a good purchase now (if you haven't yet) while the devs cook SE2 for a few years before its 1.0 release.
If you don’t think this game is awesome… you simply haven’t looked deep enough into its future vision… So excited to be a part of its development from this early on Keen!
Is this going to be another big empty space and world building game or are villager spawning going to be integrated for colony building to create a solar system civilization with some life in it. That's what makes Minecraft worth playing a real life living world building. Turning villages with a few villagers, in to hundreds of villages into a massive populated world. I hope this is a mine craft for grownups. 2:43
Not sure on what your wanting from SE2 as it's made as a space building game first not a colony sim and it's very early alpha so I'd wait for it's full release before getting it
The previous game can only go so far I'm afraid, that's why there making a new one so they don't have the limitations of SE1. plus some bugs can't be fixed
The first has been out for well over a decade, and this is built on a whole new engine with a story, multi-player, and even volumetric water coming in the future. Keen is still supporting SE, as well.
Hi repentance to God God will forgive you don't matter what you did Jesus love you just the way you are talk to Jesus Jesus will set you free of any addiction accept and trust in Jesus and you will see Jesus save me from pn addiction what can Jesus not do for you ❤❤❤❤❤

@@nilocblue 100% true.
Like player homes and such? Or more interactions for you to do
You got it pal 👌
Also less atrocious to learn lol
in their roadmap they already shown human npc s, a campaign, volumetric water, npc factions, varied planets etc
Highly suggest people read up on the fact this is an EARLY ACCESS Alpha In-Development game, to avoid being disappointed :)
I love our trailers!

@@CrimsonEsso More or less why I said this is because people are review bombing the game.
Didn't know this game existed, but it's still cool it's getting a 2nd part

I respect a veteran, may Clang bless your creation's with good fortune
Never played the first due to other games that took my time but once this releases in full i will get me a copy
It's good to know people actually read that SE2 is in very early alpha I hope when it's 100% out you enjoy it :)
I've been waiting for this a loooong time, great to see the alpha being received so well.
Lol? So well? The boards are on fire with how there is nothing to do. Where are you looking that you think this is being received well?

it will be a thing, it was shown in the roadmap
Shipping with creative-only and not online play is definitely making me wait on this.
So no survival? If not isn't that like 50% of. The games point

@@CaribbeanPrintingWorks-g6v from my understanding we aren't getting that any time soon don't pick up the game if you expect a completed product
yes, that's also on the roadmap along other things but it's going to take a while

Wexxo’s presale has attracted tons of attention for good reason.
Space game with alpha stage... I got a headache.
It's all good, SE2 is in the hands of passionate and creative people. They did the same this with SE1 over 10 years ago. :D
Oh $h/t!!!
AI-powered gaming will revolutionize crypto, and Wexxo is paving the way.
Why are they making a second when the first is still buggy as hell?
Guessing they are abondoning the first game due to engine limitations.
Who cares
