- We didn't start out to make a bloopers video but sometimes things go wrong. Hope you enjoy our constant struggles, and in the end we did catch some nice fish. There are some lessons to be had. And some observations on what is working to catch the legendary Lahontan Cutthroat trout of Pyramid Lake Nevada.

The lodge has pins for 10, 15, 20 and 25 lb club. Weigh the fish in the net if you plan to release them and just take a photo of the fish and the scale. The pins are free and fun to have. Also, they have a great collection of lures there.
Thanks for the information I haven’t got a 20 or 25Lb club yet but I haven’t given up hope. I’ve got a bunch of the old school 10 and 15s from when Fred and Judy had the Bar. Used to get a free drink with a ten pound fish and a sweater with a 15Lb 😢 that was a while ago.
Many of these fish are post spawn and are skinny due to that. You are right, they will fatten up in the next month or so. Great video!

You can keep two fish per licensed fishing person. But there is a slot limit 17” to 20” you can keep and one of the two fish can be over 24”. Barbless hooks and other restrictions so be sure to look at the regulations before you go. It has historical been a great fishery as you can see in the video not much fishing pressure
Go if you have a chance June is probably the best month for boat fishing

Yes definitely and the trailer and your vehicle when you launch and retrieve. A third as salty as the ocean so all the gear that is exposed and any electrical connections. Salt Away on the motors and wash down all the gear and trailer break components. But the fishing is worth it
Bring a Marine Band radio for communication the phone service isn’t always available and help may not be close if you need it. The rangers monitor channel 16 for distress calls
The “ Skiprgus “ channel has a lot more information on Pyramid have a look see. The fishing changes with the water conditions and season
