Also known as EOD suits, this armored clothing is specifically designed to withstand heavy explosions. With people trying to protect their homes with homemade bombs during the apocalypse, one of these highly advanced bomb suits can prove to be useful for numerous reasons. They're made of tightly woven kevlar fibers that absorb the impact of the blast through the suit instead of the person. Other plates are added made from plastic that is 5 times stronger than steel so they should withstand the bite of a zombie, should. It’s also made of fire resistant materials allowing you to even enter a flaming building for looting or scavenging. Of course there’s going to be some setbacks. The suits are rather bulky and aren’t really made for you to run fast in. The 27,000 dollar price tag to produce is quite high and good luck trying to come across one of these.
4. Ghillie Suit
Sometimes you’re best armor is invisibility. If you’re strategy is to hide out in the woods for a while and do your best to avoid what’s left of civilization, you should probably consider going with a Ghillie suit instead of bulky armor. These are worn by snipers in the military and hunters in order to resemble foliage. This a type of clothing that is made from a net covered in cloth or twine, made to look like you’re a bunch of twigs. Once you think you spotted this guy in the ghillie suit in this photo, it’s already too late.This gives survivors a three dimensional camouflage and doesn’t rely on patterns of clothing quite as much. This makes for a great suit to wear while sniping zombies in wooded areas but is completely useless in urban areas or if a zombie is actually attacking you. .
3. Deep Sea Exosuits
We just don’t see any possible way a zombie would be able to defeat someone wearing one of these Deep Sea Exosuits. This was worn by a deep sea archaeologist while exploring the ancient wreckage off the coast of Greece from the location where the Antikythera mechanism was found. A pressurized diving suit like this is basically it’s own survival environment, that no zombie could ever bite though. It’s able to withstand bone crushing pressure of being 900 feet below the surface of the ocean. The Swiss company hublot designed this exosuit which is equipped with powerful LED’s, large claw-like graspers, rotatable joints, and powerful thrusters that allow divers to move through the water quickly! The company basically describes it as a wearable submarine. Knowing that zombies can’t swim, it would be the perfect thing to have while hiding out on your own island or boat. At a price tag at about 1.5 million dollars, we imagine it could withstand a few waves of zombies.
2. Dragon Skin
The great thing about this armor is, that you don’t need a to slay a dragon to recover it. You might be somewhat surprised how available ballistic armor might be during the zombie apocalypse. Government agencies, police, and military forces who have all succumbed to the virus, probably left behind their valuable kevlar bulletproof armor. However not all bulletproof armor was built the equally and a new advancement in ballistics resistance has led to the dragon skin! While not being approved for the military, it is used by the high ranking government officials like the secret service and FBI. So it’s gotta be good! The armor uses kevlar but also titanium composed scaled plates, kinda like we saw earlier in the video. Capable of withstand multiple armor piercing rounds fired from AK’s and M16’s this is the armor you hope you can find!

And still the best thing we can use for armor, isn’t all the fancy kevlar or bomb resistant suits but plate armor that was designed by blacksmiths centuries ago! Many museums could be chock full of this valuable armor which will make it easy and available to loot however it’s best to buy one that’s been customized for yourself. A common misconception is that plate armor is difficult to maneuver in. If it’s correctly fitted to your body, it will not make a big difference. Some well made steel plate armor is strong enough to withstand 22 caliber bullets, handguns as well as some shotgun blasts. Plate armor is still quieter than it’s medieval counterparts and there’s no chance a zombie is going to bite through it. Plate armor is durable and reliable and used for centuries in battle. Please do a "How to make Zombie Proof Armour" video. This would be awesome because the chances of finding actual armour are quite situational and in the Apocalypse it would be so helpful to know how to make your own Zombie Proof Armour!
Use pvc and leather straps
You can make armor resistant to zombie bites fairly easily. Basically anything that stops teeth like cloth, paper, plastic, rubber, wood, and hell you could even use plant fibers to make armor. What's important is you don't over think and realize the odds of zombies biting certain parts of your body are low.

Good video. as an SCA member, I might suggest using ABS plastic (blue plastic drums) nice and cheap, making your armour from SCA patterns, interlinked with chain mail, with padded coat and pants.
for preppers, that will be the most cost effective, and zombies will never be able to bite through the plastic. light weight, quiet, and gives you full movement.

Fun Fact The US Army banned the use of dragon skin. Even though it is able to stop all of the shrapnel from a grenade if you jumped on one.

O O fun fact, it is more likely for private contractors or ex military dudes to wear dragon skin. Although Dragon skin didn’t pass US testing. It did fail. So keep that in mind.

Problem with the Exosuit, it's immobile on land and costs an incredible amount to deploy effectively. 'Refueling' it costs around $200,000.

For me the best armor is Ironman Armor, imagine you can have the luxury of armor protection and all most all high tech weapons at your disposal to defend your self against herds of zombies and it can even fly for transportation convenience. Like if you agree 😁👍
One thing to think about as a makeshift armor in case you need one until you find a better one is duct tape. Wrap some around yourself a few times, especially your arms and your wrists since zombies bite those alot. It should be strong enough to hold against zombie teeth while also being light and not weighing you down.
Motorcycle gear is a great option too. It's made to take impact and abrasion and if fairly easy to move in.

So happy to see plate armor making the list. So many people seem to think it would slow you down more than a bullet proof vest. It won't they can be comfortable and easy to move in.
FYI of course not as easy as just clothes but its not as restrictive or heavy as people think.
The problem they've been having with dragon skin is the parts comprising it rub against each other causing wear. This means it doesn't last as long as conventional steal or ceramic armor.

i have seen modern suits of plate armour that have a thick inner lining, much like kevlar, making it far more protective and extremely quiet as it eliminates the noise of metal on metal

Simple reasons, such as the public becoming panicked which would lead to more infected, and for all we know the way we think killing zombies might be completely wrong and their positions would likely be overrun with sheer numbers or they might run out of ammo.

@@lilpuro2152 Still, the majority you'll hear on a suppressed MP5 will be the bolt being slammed back and forth. Also, they do make 9mm subsonic rounds but at this point, it's just about picking and choosing what's best for you.

I dont think he put much thought in this list, chainmail and platemail would be some of the best armor since it was designed to be worn for long periods of time and in chainmails case, in most types of weather. A bomb suit weighs a ton and that "exo suit" wont last long without a crane to carry around and a team to maintain it, whereas that chainmail can be worn all day without an issue without slowing you down too bad.

not really, platemail is easily crushed to where you acnt get out of it and has a lengthy process of putting on. chainmail is also famously penitrable and many footmen wwearing it were simply killed by arrows. in my opinion the dog suit would be the best

How to make a homemade armor weapon
1) get the duct tape
2) find anything that could be durable or unbreakable (such as a wood plank that won't hurt you too much)
3) get aluminium foil (if your a tech person or a crafts men, you can use any wite and connect a battery to it)

One drawback to plate armor is that it can take a long time to put on or take off and requires someone to help equip or unequip it to your body.

Scale mail sound is easily rectified just by adding leather or cloth that was treated in sticky substances then using plastic that is heated on to it lightly can easily form a sound dampener and adding more shock absorbent qualities as well. I would have plate gauntlets and greaves, and maybe a chest plate since those areas don't need much joint maneuverability. Again I would add dampening material to them with the greaves the bottoms of sneakers are great with using superglue and duct tape and welding extra pieces of metal on the knuckles and wrist would do the trick since you can cut strips of duct tape (Duck tape) and wrap it around the fingers and hands of the metal gauntlet so reduce sound. One could do the same with what was done to the greaves by using thinner rubber material.
For the chainmail the same can be done as the scale mail, but you can add clothing or leather material in between the links and add strings(colored) as well to act as a make shift Ghillie suit, which would also have the sound dampening material with it.
You can wear the Dragon skin under this as well for a lot more protection than from just the zombies by Using steel, ceramics, and plastics with thin layers of interwoven-layered Kevlar.
7:01 oh yeah, Because Kevlar vests and bomb resistant suits are way more *fancy* than that… I still agree however that plate armour is definitely the most protective tho.
This is what I'd wear first layer big shirt then chain mail then big overcoat with thick water proof boots and tough trousers and shin guards with a hockey/hurly helmet
This list only took bites into consideration, when zombies would probably use their hands to claw away any loose armor

I would go with scalemail armor for whole torso are in combination with dragon skin around neck and arms, motorcycle helmet for head with welded on spikes, steel toe shoes or any good shoes that is slip/shock/water resistant with a hard toe insert and maybe spike insert for added extra impact when kicking, thick rubber gloves rubber provide extra grip plus being thick if bit won't hurt, knee and elbow brace with small spikes for extra damage when kneeing or elbowing a zombie in the face, and full length tri blade sword attachments for the arms plus an spike glove that looks like a shorted jousting lance that you can put on like boxing gloves. Also you have attachment on back for carrying extra weapons and gear, also bring an electric or any kickboard scooter that is collapsible carry on back also make sure it's off road capable if possiable, bring climbing equipment like rope with gear for it like body harness and an Ascender/Descender, also a way to shoot rope over top off building and suctioning gloves for glass or smooth surface add in rock climbing axe to make holes or break windows.. Use kickboard scooter to get away quicker if possiable, use rope to climb up or down if surrounded by zombies on top of building or cornered against one. Think outside the box and be creative in every way so you can live longer.

Leather luchador head mask, one of those metal masks, leather boots, zipped up leather jacket, leather gloves, think denim jeans, and a trench coat. Put a lot of ammo and weapons in the trench coat. Zombies would have incredible trouble biting through leather and think denim, plus they would have to go through the first layer of trench coat.

Scale is insanely easy to penetrate with sharp objects... with most knives and swords you stab a bit upward it goes right between the scales. That's why hardly anyone used it historically except for archers.

The Gamebson, Motorcycle gear designed to avoid scraps and tears , so any kind of decent kevlar. Its pretty functional too. Big heavy armor will slow you down.
As for the head, Yeah I'd go hockey mask and helmet.

I believe that a medieval kingdom could survive the zombie apocalypse. I mean they had castles and an entire fricking army of knights. They were made to withstand sieges, so a couple zombies would be no problem.
Actually, chainmail was switched for plate when weapons like the longsword were invented as big piercing spikes into it
