Melting some Widow Makers

- After a long week at work and some things going on at home, I didn't have time to work on the flag. So I decided to melt down some ladders I got from a friend. These are all aluminum. I call them widow makers because that is exactly what they are. They are very unstable. I won't use them.
The breakdown of these are pretty straightforward. They are held together with about 10,000 rivets. I just drilled them out. Because the rivets are rounded, I figured out that grinding them down flat makes it easier to use the drill.
Thank you everyone for your ongoing support. If you would like to send me anything, My address is in my channel description. Anything I do get I will make sure to feature in an upcoming video.
Make sure to subscribe. Check out some of my other videos and let me know what you think of them. Have a great weekend. And as always, stay safe. See you next week
I'm sure those ladders were worth their weight in ..... something? Lol. You absolutely made them safer, standing on the stack of ingots is absolutely safer than those ladders. Lmao. Great video though beother, new subscriber here. I melt small amounts of silver, but watching anything melt is cool imo.
Edit: could maybe just burn the rivet heads off your bit with the old torch? Should 't get hot enough to affect the temper on the bit. That aluminum melts at a fairly low temp. Just a thought.
Good video, keep it up brother.
@@tomahawktom7595 Thank you bro
That last aluminum ingot ALMOST looks like when the T-1000 from Terminator 2 gets shot… good video, keep up the good work.
@@tomahawktom7595 thank you bro
When you reline your forge that round slab of steel you have would be ideal for hammering the warps straight on the lid of your forge. Great video!
@@mattyal9347 ya. I have a couple ideas on how to fix that. We'll see how it goes
Great video brother, just picked up a aluminum ladder from a neighbor. It folded while his wife was on it. New sub to you. Are you selling your aluminum bars? I usually take my alu. to the salvage yard as extruded aluminum. Thanks for sharing your project.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥
@@CandSMINING Thank you bro. I am keeping all of my ingots. I'm trying to build up a nice stack. 👍
