I feel the way you explained it was perfect all the paperwork perfect even the purchase you scored you got a good deal you took it home you worked it you had a vision and now you're riding it you didn't pick it up for profit you didn't pick it up to move it to scam on someone else this is how I worked it as well with the hot rods I have in my garage and you know what I don't care if it's been trashed I'm going to rebuild it I love the video I love the way you explained it this is exactly how I did mine and I I did cars beautiful dude I love it I hope everyone gets to see this this is great
We have done one complete build on a f150 fx4. It was not bad and we made some profit. We are currently rebuilding our second one the Red Rocket. It isn't something I would say quit your job for but it is fun to do. We were able to cover it with full coverage and the buyer was as well. So it really depends on the insurance side.
I still haven't figured out how anyone could profit from this :) I suspect it is hard to sell a motorcycle in the first place and even harder if it has a rebuilt title. Guess I need to try and sell something and find out.
I am sure if you have a bike shop where you get parts at a much better price or have multiple bike laying around to grab small stuff from. I have no proof but some states if you have a dealer license you can change things on the title. Maybe you saw the story of the family who’s truck was totaled in Katrina bought it back from a used car lot with the water still under the seat. SAD but if these stories are true.... I can tell you this about car fax, my daughter bought a new car from a New car dealer car fax said it is okay and when she traded it in the Toyota dealer showed us the car fax and the car was in an accident. The truth be told we don't recommend the first dealer and that brand of car. I hope this happens a lot less today. For me the one thing sticks in my mind is if the frame is bent, the bike tracked wrong, I would need to have the world’s largest hissy fit. I could see the personal pride of taking 3 bad bikes and make one .
Good video..thank you Sir...just got myself a yamaha morpheous scooter yesterday...from copart...working perfectly for 750...1500 in total with all fees and transportation...cheers from south Texas...RGV
Copart has changed its pricing since this video. In Texas a normal person can still buy fire fly, but now there is an additional $60 membership fee. In other states individuals have to go through brokers.
You can arrange shipping. Sometimes through Copart, sometimes not. I've bought a couple bikes there and there are always truckers picking things up for other people. Uship is another option.
I came across your channel when you were doing the Goldwing Bobber and have followed you since. I reckon you're good at presenting, you've got mechanical and design skills and your content is pretty good. I'm mainly into the bike stuff but your other stuff is pretty good too. I been following channels right from the start for a few years now and watched them grow, a couple of observations I have are, the vast majority of bike guys only watch bike stuff and nothing else same with car guys. If you want to grow your channel, especially in the US customising Harleys is the way to go, next best are Cafe Racers and then Bobbers IMO. Building/customising is more popular than riding. Good luck!
I bought a wrecked 04 crownvic from copart. It got hit and all wrong was the upper control arm was bent and one of the bolts on one of the bushing were broke and the passenger fender was slightly scuffed, but it was solid, and looked really nice in and out. Only cost 800 bucks.
Good video here. I wish I had your welding skills and equipment. You gave a lot of info concerning the purchase, and restoration of a damaged bike, with a salvaged certificate. So, what kind of Title were you able to get for this bike? "Rebuilt", or "Salvaged"?
Good luck with the auction and bikes. I like to think that they are a great option if you want to chop something up. It does seem that a lot of them sell for more than what they are worth to restore, which makes me wonder where they all go? It's not like there are a bunch of bike junkyards around - at least not that I can find :)
I have NEVER bought a bike from Co=Part even tho they are 20 miles away all get bid too high, lotsa new parts like Instruments are Un-Obtanioum, or $$$$$$$$ bent frame ..?? figger 40 hours .. like $4k + a Frame what is your time worth ..??
I agree, it is VERY hard to find a deal at Copart if you are doing math. This was my experimental foray to see if it could ever make sense. My $350 winning bid is very cheap for anything on Copart from what I have seen - and does it even make sense then? Side note: I do see a lot of cars at junkyards with Copart stickers still on them - so it must make sense in that industry.
it's actually 50-90% in value drop.

Red Rocket is a fun name. Love the channel trailer. You guys seem to have...what's the phrase... 'good chemistry' :)
Just stumbled across the channel hahaha like your style man
Thanks Bra 😀👍
Thank you for explaining everything and why. You saved me from a possible bad decision for me. I can see how other people could profit from this.

Ahh, south Texas is a beautiful spot👍. Have fun scoot'n!
I’m also from Pennsylvania and am considering buying and rebuilding a bike myself!
Best of luck👍. I think of it as a fun challenge. Kinda like a puzzle.
do you have license to purchase salvaged vehicles or are broker fees included in that 200 something copart fees that you said?
Copart has changed its pricing since this video. In Texas a normal person can still buy fire fly, but now there is an additional $60 membership fee. In other states individuals have to go through brokers.
If you buy one in another state will they ship it

@@HooptieDoodle thank. You for the information

And where is that crown Vic today? Did you fix it, part it out, make it into a Frankenstein monster car? Was it worth $800?
Actually I traded it to my wife's uncle outright for a 1983 chevy lazydaze camper.
@@HooptieDoodle yea it was defo worth it. It's funny I didn't go there to get a car lol I was only there to meet a guy on a different matter.
@@rexracer7192 a lazydaze camper sounds better than a crown Vic. Excellent 👌
300 hrs??? Absolutely NOT! 300hr x $20hr = $6000 pretty much that bike brand new.

It's rebuilt. I believe here in Texas it's salvage when wrecked and rebuilt once fixed.
Cute cat
Also I’m buying me and my dad copart bikes now.

HooptieDoodle I think a lot of them are disassembled and parts are sold online, like Craigslist
Ride on my brotha
I enjoyed the video and real nice bike. I would love to do some business with you. Peace and Love NYC...
That's very kind of you. Thanks
good video and informative BUT ...the process a waste of my time!!!
its a good idea when you get a good deal and not get a 500 that no one wants
